The Manduka Pro Yoga mat is very well made. I followed instructions and gave it 24 hour salt scrub and a soft clean, feels really good under my body and non slip. Well worth the money.

Thick mat

The mat stays in place during practice, and the 6+ millimeter thickness is plenty supportive without having an additional mat or blanket beneath. Its not the grippiest mat but then again, no mats can really maintain perfect grip when sweating in Bikram yoga. This is my third Manduka mat and I'd buy it again

Super Sturdy!

I was really hoping to love this mat, but I couldnt get it to not be slippery. I tried recommendations for cleaning and scrubbing from Manduka, and Reddit. I gave it a few weeks and multiple yoga classes. No luck. As soon as the surface gets sweaty its pretty slippery.

The grip is not good as expected

I was really disappointed in this mat. Its very slippery and impossible without a towel. Also, its hard and uncomfortable despite breaking it in with Mandukas instructions. Lastly, its very heavy and bulky to carry around.

Slippery. I followed the instruction on the mat: unrolled it, covered it in sea salt and left it for 24hrs, this is supposed to break it in. Still when I tried practicing for the first time it was slippery to the point of being unusable. Maybe it gets better with time but I dont know how to break it in if I cant even hold downward dog without my hands slipping. I will try turning it face-down, maybe that will help.

Unfortunately this was a birthday present for my wife and she did not like it. :-) I will have to send it back.

Best mat

I love the mat. Heavy duty, professional quality just exactly what I was looking for

Seems great, but still a little slippery in down dog which is disappointing. Hopefully using the mat spray a few times will help.

Good grip , heavy on the floor. Perfect for sweating flow.

The jury is still out on this one. I took the survey and stated I wanted "grip, grip, grip," and this mat was recommended Although I love how cushiony it is on my knees, I was slipping and sliding everywhere in hot yoga, it was very frustrating, not to mention kind of dangerous. Not at all what I expected, since I followed the instructions and covered it in sea salt for 24 hours before using. It's also really heavy, so if I do keep it, I'll have to get a strap because I can't really comfortably carry it for the three blocks I walk to Yoga.

Heavy duty product, good quality. I have not slipped on it after a number of yoga sessions. Ideal for my home use.

Definitely does not look like the picture at all. I expected might be little different, but hardly no lighter color at all.

Stable supportive mat!

4 stars only because it's a little slippery, even without sweating. Hoping this will improve once worked in a bit. Besides that I like it a lot.

Wonderful mat! It's hard yet, my knees don't hurt. I feel stable. it's a bit slippery for now, I probably need more time to break it in. It's not a bit deal tho.

Using this mat about a month, it's pretty expensive and can't get what's so special about it. my hands slip and too heavy. I've been doing yoga for about 7 years and unfortunately this is the worst mat I've ever had

As a dedicated yoga practitioner, I had high expectations for my new Manduka mat, especially based on my positive experience with another mat from their eKO series. However, I've been deeply disappointed with this recent purchase. Firstly, the slipperiness of the mat is a significant issue. During my yoga sessions, I found it challenging to maintain poses due to the lack of grip. This was surprising and disheartening, considering Manduka's reputation for quality. The mat's slippery surface not only affected my practice but also raised concerns about safety. Furthermore, the difference between this mat and the eKO series is startling. My eKO mat provides excellent traction and stability, which I assumed would be a standard feature across all Manduka mats. Unfortunately, this isn't the case. The disparity in performance is much more pronounced than what is suggested on the website. The descriptions online did not adequately prepare me for this vast difference in quality. In conclusion, while I respect Manduka as a brand, this particular mat has been a source of considerable frustration. It falls short of the high standards set by their eKO series, and I hope my feedback helps others make an informed decision.
