Amazingly NB claims that these shoes are built off the same last (mould) as my other shoes but they are definitely narrower in the toe box area. I had, and returned, this model of shoe once before but gave them another try because they are offered in 6E width (I normally get 4E). The comfort is better than my previous work shoes (6E from a different manufacturer) but I'm still not overly impressed by them. I will begrudgingly buy another pair as needed for work since they are only marginally more comfortable than what took me years to find. As a side note, since I've complained of this before, but I feel that all shoes built off a particular last should fit the same. Don't bother saying the manufacturing process blah, blah, blah nonsense. If I buy a performance tire, touring tire, luxury ride tire etc in a specific size each tire will fit the rim so get your act together, NB, it's irritating!

Despite having a "roll bar" on each shoe, the heel on the right shoe feels like it gives a little and makes a popping sound when my step moves to the toe. It's embarrassing in public.

The shoe was uncomfortable in the heel, but the 4E was wide enough. I love my 1006 court shoes, but they are not available in extra wide.

My feet didn't like these shoes at all. Slightly narrow for a 4E width and very stiff feel when walking. Didn't feel comfortable at all. I only buy New Balance, but this particular shoe was one of the worse I've bought.

Everyday use for me They look much better in the picture online the style looks long & narrow compared to other NB I have I would never buy them again comfort is a 6 Im happier with a $75 pair of NEW BALANCE!

I found the shoes to be very uncomfortable. They hurt my arches and heel.

I returned the shoes. There was a lump that hit behind the toes.

They seemed to be out of production for a long time. When back in and I could finally buy them the leather upper is really poorly done. Wrinkles across the toe bed the second day wearing. It seems like it's a thinner leather used. Really disappointed.

This is the second time i have purchased NB shoes and I'm disappointed on the quality. The first shoes were 990 and very comfortable but they only lasted 8 months before the bottom soles started to disintegrate. I decided for my second pair I would get the less expensive walking shoes. However after a couple of months, the insides are starting to split. So disappointing!

these sneakers run small.I added a 1/2 of a size when i should have added a full size bigger

They are not as comfortable as I hoped. The heel padding is very hard, maybe as I wear them more I will get used to them. I have purchase many New Balance shoes, over the years; these are not nearly as comfortable as the others.

Have had several pair of 990v black and had a situation where the top eyelet broke and th tie string gets caught . No black available in my size so I had to settle for these and they are not the shoe I was expecting.

Did not really like the fit. Will probably keep them and hope I get used to them.

The shoes are well made but I thought they would be a little easier on my arthritic feet. I was hoping that since they were New Balance whose sneakers I have purchased for years, they would be more"pliable" but instead I almost feel like I'm wearing the boxes. They also have a more "clunky" look to them in person than how they appear on the website so overall I am somewhat disappointed. Sorry to be so negative but thought you should get feedback from a long time customer.

Very little cushion. Hard soles. Sending back. Good fit though.

The shoes look and feel great but my pair came with a sizable scuff on them. At This price point I really would expect more quality control

These 928's are no where near as comfortable as the mesh 928's

This may not happen to everyone and perhaps I have high arches or something, but it digs into the top of my left foot. And after 3 weeks still hasn't broken in or subsided. Can't buy again.

I previously bought several pairs of the New Balannce at the recommendation of an orthopedic doctor, who assured me that the wider toe box would help my foot issues--it did. The old version had VelCro fasteners on them--they apparently have had quite a few changes since they went from private ownership to corporate, and they no longer make that shoe--the replacement is now available only in a lace-up version (V3)--and is not as convenient to use or as comfortable, actually--too bad, I was getting used to the idea of buying from these folks. Just to add insult to the injury, the personnel at the store are not as knowledgeable or as courteous as they used to be, either--but, hey, GOOD LUCK with that--
