Has a high arch and meets the support that my husband needs in a shoe. Extra extra wide width fits his foot perfectly. Accicdently ordered 2 pairs, but they were so comfortable from the first time he wore them, we decided to keep both pair.

These shoes are great for walking in all kinds of weather. I get the leather version, so as to have more leather on the exposed surfaces of the shoe, with very little cloth fabric there. That makes for much better protection when walking in bad weather, such as rain, snow or icy conditions. These shoes are heavier and stiffer/firmer when walking, but again that is what I want for bad weather conditions. When the weather is nice and dry, I wear a lighter walking shoe, with more cloth on the exterior, for more comfort. As for this shoe, I've gotten three pairs so far.

Perfect fit! Your staff has done a great job in recommending these walking shoes. I requested a walking shoe that fit like the 990, and she did! Reasons like this , is why I always buy NB for the past 20 years.

This shoe was recommended to me by my foot doctor for its motion control and ROLLBAR stabiliser. This is a shoe you immediately want to put on you feet when you first wake up and do not want to take it off until your done uses your feet. This will end up being the only shoe you want to wear for complete comfort and support

This is a great walking shoe with good support. More color choices would be nice.

I ware them to work at the hospital. Dressy enough and awesome comfort and support! This is my 4th pair and I would not buy anything else. Worth every penny!!

These are my daily shoes when putzing around house or running about town - love that they are all white. Once they get too dirty I just replace them and keep one old pair for doing the dirty work around the house

I really like these shoes. I have neuropathy in my feet and have found this to be the only shoe I can wear and be comfortable. The problem is I want a white leather but you don't list them anymore only the mesh and they get dirty to fast and don't clean up very well. Will you be getting the white leather back in the line.

First, how does the shoe fit? I wear a 10 3/4 shoe. In a 990 (my absolute favorite NB shoe) I buy 10 1/2. In other New Balance shoes I generally take an 11. After looking at the reviews I decided to go with the 11 and am glad I did. The 10 1/2 would have been too tight. That's not to say these run small, but if you tend to be between NB sizes, go up. Second, the shoe is comfortable if a tad heavy because of its running shoe parentage. If you're looking for something somewhat formal but light, try NB's boat shoe. Finally, it's not a shoe to wear with a suit to a client meeting. It's just a bit less formal that that. But all in all, it is an comfortable shoe and filled the niche I needed when another brand lost it's sole. I have no regrets.

Extremely comfortable shoes. Inner line hugs your foot. Walk 1 to 2 miles daily and at the end of the day my feet don't hurt.

I like the new style. They don't look as boxy like the other style of the same serial number were. Thanks for updating my shoes to look more like a normal walking shoe than a medical shoe.

Thanks to New Balance for SL-2 last shoes to help compensate for my two star feet. As I get older and my feet get flatter, this line of shoes is the only thing that keeps me walking.

I have been wearing this style and size for a LONG time. The size 12.5 which I ordered is about 3/8" shorter in length than my existing pair of size 12.5. So, do I have to reorder size 13 or try another pair of size 12.5?
