These are the only shoes that help my husband. He has stood on concrete floors for years and developed P/F. We do remove the insoles that come in these shoes and replace with NB thicker soles. This is our 6th pair in the past years, he can always tell when it's time for a new pair, his feet start aching! He does auto body repair and these shoes are durable.

These are my 7th or 8th pair. They were not available at my usual places to buy them, when I was told Zappos had them I was ecstatic, as these are the only ones that fit, don't hurt my feet and my back, legs and knees don't hurt when I have a brand new pair. If I can't find these next time I need them, I will definitely purchase again.

I wear AFO braces on both legs. These are the shoes the brace people told me to buy. I wear white ones in the summer and black ones in the winter. They work perfect with the braces. These are the only shoes I have worn for nearly 30 years. Great product.Fran

This is my third pair of this particular shoe. It is super comfortable. I wear these all day long and believe me they wear well even with all the abuse it gets when I'm in the workshop or going for a walk in the wooded trails behind my home. They look good if you just want to wear them as a semi dress shoe. I will definitely continue purchasing this particular product as long as it is offered. I found that going up 1/2 half size from my usual 10 1/2W size to the 11W has worked well for me.

The shoes we purchased for my brother-in-law who has MRSA and Ketoacidosis. He has terrible swelling for being laid up for the past five weeks in the hospital. These shoes were just the ticket to get him where he needs to be with beginning PT and recovering. Thank you for selling the hard to find width and ensuring a great fit and product.

I break my foot severely a little over a year ago. Two surgeries and a year and a half later my was a mess as well as my ability to walk. The surgeon reccomended a brace. I went to the a clinic that makes braces and artifical limbs. They reccomended NB shoes as they were supportive. The NB 028v3 have a solid plastic block molded below the heal cup that keep you foot from collapsing keeping it straight. It also has a straight last keeping your entire foot straight. I used to make orthotics for ski boots and have some knowledge about feet. These shoes are awsome and ahead of their time. When I first put them on combined with the molded orthotic and brace I walked away if the injury never had happened. I was loosing hope that I might not be able to ski, hike or ride a bike again. Might be too soon but I hope I can fit the rig into my old xc ski boots and shuffle around my house in the snow. Good job. Your designers know what they are doing. Thanks and Merry Christmas

I use this shoe for walking, standing. It gives me fantastic comfort. A year ago, I found I had a fallen arch on one foot. The podiatrist said that I needed inserts. I thought that meant possible different shoes. She said that my New Balance had removable support. I merely replaced them with higher arch support - immediate relief and I could still enjoy a wonderful shoe!

Used for everything - the older ones get re-purposed for outdoor / yard work when the new pair gets here.

I wear heavy braces on both feet. These are the only shoes I can wear with them. The stabilizing bar means comfort for me.

After a few exchanges and calling New Balance to find out these are shoes to replace the 928v2 I was very excited to receive them when I opened the box they were mens and I had ordered a exchange for a womens shoe and because I had exchanged too many times (according to Zappos)trying to get right shoe they will not let me exchange these mens shoes. They stated the computer would not let me exchange them again. I don't understand this mistake was not mine I ordered on the phone with a exchange of womens shoe. Mistakes happen so Zappos gave me a 25.00 great toward another purchase but that is all they can do for me. This shoe does look great like the original 928's but I can not give a review on the shoe because the shoes I received are mens and do not fit me.

I have bad feet, and the width and height of the toe box of these shoes is very good. But I could use more cushioning.

I was looking for a motion control walking shoe for everyday use. This shoe fills that requirement. It is well built, supportive and light. I would have liked a bit more aggressive pattern on the bottom of the shoe. There's no tread pattern so it is very slippery on snow and ice. I find the shoe runs large. I wore Brooks Beast for many years (until the quality got really bad). I always took a size 11-2E. I ordered the same size for this shoe and it is about 1/2 size too big. I had to put an extra insole in it.

Since Sacony quit making my fav shoe, I’ve been wearing these. Great shoes for my work but, I noticed the last pair I bought, NB reduced the length of the tongue a good bit. The tongue slips below the string a lot till tied tight. I’ll stick with them since I have no other choice

I have been a long-time NB customer. However, during the last few years quality control has been highly irregular. Specifically, it seems there is no standard for shoe size or width. Size for the 928 series depends on the country in which the different colors the 928 are made. Brown, for the most part, seems true to size. Nevertheless, I have 2 pairs of Brown 928 v3, the same size number, but very uneven in reality Black has an exceptionally large toe box extending down into the lace area; White seems true to size, but, there is a seam that protrudes and irritates the foot. For this reason I haven't purchased NB 928 for at least 3 years. My first NB purchase was a couple of weeks ago. Size is still an issue. Disappointment.

This model was specified as the one and only model of shoe I had to wear by my orthopedist who made mt orthotics, I don't think he knew at the time how a once great shoe had declined since the original 1.0. This is the 3,0 version which is better than 2,0 but still a big let down in quality and comfort. The biggest problem is the top two eyelet are impossible to lace, so it doesn't give a good fit around the ankle, The leather has a real cheap look to it, not what I would expect on a $165 shoe and it never feels truly broken in.. Frankly even with $600 orthotics plus these $165 New Balance shoes my feet feel better a pair of Birkenstock clogs,

The shoe does not last very long. New balance really needs to make these shoes last a whole lot longer than a year. The rubber deteriorates the outer leather deteriorates. Spending $150 each year is getting old.

I have been a loyal New Balance customer for over 20 years, as they are one of a few manufacturers that makes extra-wide athletic shoes. Needed a pair of shoes for an upcoming trip and this was one of two models New Balance had in my size. Paid extra to have them rushed. When they arrived they were just not very comfortable. Had very little in the way of support. And frankly, they were just ugly - looked like something a doctor would prescribe for someone who had one leg longer than the other. My old 1350V1s were a lot more comfortable and considerably cheaper. I will be returning these and possibly going to another brand, if New Balance continues to not make wide widths.

I have 3 pair of these shoes and love them, but the last pair purchased was way too tight. Returned the last pair and now ordering a half size larger. We'll see if I need to start looking for another brand.
