I bought the same size as my last pair of NB shoes, but these are smaller. They also make an odd moaning noise when walking. It's from my socks rubbing against the shoe opening.

I wasted my money on these...I needed the greater comfort of the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080 v9. --I have a Morton's neuroma in one foot - and this shoe did not help it. The Fresh Foams are much better. I do think these look durable and solidly constructed.

I have been purchasing New Balance sneakers since the 1990s. These are very stiff with no flexibility. They are also on the heavy side. Would not purchase them again.

Had a previous pair, loved them. These do not fit the same. They are not the same shoe although they are the same size

I prefer the old white / leather ones. These ones tried hard to offer a new alternative, but they were not attractive and they did not go with my clothes.

I had a pair of similar shoes that I loved. The number of the shoe was similar to the shoes I had. The new shoe was cut differently. The heels were wider and did not fit. I assumed the new version would fit like the old. Very disappointed.
I returned the shoes but I still haven't received the credit for the shoes. After 2 weeks I expected the credit to appear on my card.

O.K. for shopping. Shoe feels stiff and without cushion. I was expected a great experience

Needed larger size than 7-1/2, so ordered size 8.
On arrival the size 8 was no larger, may be slightly smaller. The heel was too narrow and very stiff.
Uncomfortable shoe, returned them.

I purchased these shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis and I broke three bones in my ankle a few months ago. I also, tried a shoe named Gravity Defyer. The Gravity Defyer shoes are Amazing! Compared to these shoes - which do not have as much support, cushioning or stability. I will never go back to New Balance shoes.

To accommodate the need for support and a wide toe box, I ordered the 928 in a 2E. It is okay in the toe box, but the rest of the shoe is way too wide - so my feet shifted around in the middle and the heel. Also the tongue is way too short, can't be used with either of the last two lacing holes. Disappointing. I'm going to try the 847 in a D width. As others have noted, the subsequent versions of NB shoes are inferior to the original versions. Why not leave things alone if people like them.

I bought the 928v3 to walk on my treadmill. I do not like it as much as the 628. In the future I will stick with the 628 sneaker.

I returned these because they do not have a big enough toe box for me. I've worn 928 for a long time but they changed because I didn't have enough room.

I agree with others who said it feels like a steel boot - very uncomfortable. My podiatrist said I should get these but now I am regretting the purchase.

Very boxy and ugly design . Seems very cheap -worst new balance shoe I've ever bought. Could not get the laces through the holes on top. I need the rollbar as I broke my foot last year. I walk 5 to 9 miles a day and go through these pretty quickly. Couldn't get the one I had before. Would not buy this one again.

I bought the 928 v 3 and ordered the same 4E width, but the toe box was short and narrower than my last pair. I returned them.

I have bought this style many times before and have been very satisfied. However, this time the shoe feels much narrower. I have to have a 4E size because of 6 foot surgeries that expanded my foot size. The previous shoes have worked well with orthotics, but this new one feels very tight. This is the ONLY shoe I can wear so I find it disturbing that these no longer fit like previous models.

I have worn New Balance 926-928 for over a decade, but these are the only ones that did not fit my 11Wide feet well. They are at least 1/4-inch smaller than my orthodics that fit in my others. Additionally, the newest 928v3 has mesh where the older ones had leather. The mesh makes them look like any other sport shoe; whereas the leather made them appropriate for town occasions, rather than sport. Many wear this design because they need orthodics the podiatrists recommend. PLEASE bring back all-leather and correct sizing.

Rockports are okay, but not as good as my New Balance 928 [my favorite of all New Balance,

The sizing is okay and the shoes may be fine for strolling along a sidewalk, but for frequent walks at a pretty good rate on the trails in a local park, they are horrible. The shoes are heavy, the sole inflexible and they offer little support. The tongues could be longer too, as frequently the laces end up behind them. I kept the shoes too long to make a return, so I am trying to make the best of it by wearing them a bit each day, for example, to mow the lawn. But geez, they are uncomfortable.

I like every generation of NB walking shoes, but not this one, not 928v3. 928V3 is less support than 928V2.

I have been a fan of New Balance walking shoes for more than 17 years. I loved and bought every new generation of NB walking shoe , specially loved 928 V2. But not this time, not 928 V3 . 928V3 is less support, bottoms of shoe are thinner , somehow 928V3 make my feet and knees sore and tired. I cannot return them since I have worn them for a week. I might have to try other brands of walking shoes.

My orthotics do not fit well in V3. The arch support does not line up. Bring back v1, they're the best.

I have been wearing NB 928s (version 1) almost exclusively for casual and dressy occasions since 2013 because I have hallux rigidus, a bunion, and a bone spur on the top of my foot. They were SO comfortable - I didn't have foot pain as long as I was wearing them. Since Version 1 is no longer available, I bought a pair of Version 3s last week - what a disappointment!! As I read in other reviews, the tongue is shorter, but more importantly, the quarters (the two leather pieces on either side of the top that the laces thread through) are also too small. On my V1 shoes, when they were laced up, the edges of the quarters were parallel, about 1-1/4" apart. On the new V3 shoes, they are about 1-1/4" apart at the bottom, and almost 2" apart at the top, and they still feel as though they are tied too tightly. They look as if my feet are swollen, but they are not. You had such an excellent product - why did you have to go and change it!!?? I'll be looking for something else next time, but I paid too much for these V3's to just throw them away. Ugh.
