I really wanted to like these shoes. But after wearing them inside my house for an afternoon, they had aggravated my plantar fasciitis. I use an orthotic insert, but it did no good. There is simply no cushioning or flexibility, and very hard sole. For such a hefty price tag, they are on their way back to New Balance. I found a similar pair online, so hoping they are more forgiving on my poor feet.

I thought the Sneakers would be comfortable. But they are not. I am on my feet for 6 to 8 hours a day for work. They are very heavy, I got the impression they would light weight.

I love my first pair and needed a black pair. They fit like the first pair, however they squeak really bad, whereas the first pair didn't.

Been trying for a year to get a pair of these in gray but they are eternally out of stock. Settled for black but grudgingly

This shoe runs very short. I liked the color but I think that it would be hard to keep clean since it is covered in fabric. I had to return it.

I wanted the black womens 928 with the Velcro straps. Received the ones that lace up. Very disappointing.

I have severe tendinitis in my feet, and these were recommended by the Dr. I am on my feet 8-12 hours a day, and it did relieve much of the pain on the sides of my feet. It has, however, exacerbated my plantars fasciitis to the point my heel is in constant excruciating pain.

I have problem feet. I have owned several 928s. My favorite was v1. My toes are squeezed with subsequent versions. And the soles feel harder with the newer versions. This is particularly true with the black ones. I feel like I am walking in hard-soled street shoes, and the bottoms of my feet are sore after walking any distance in them. I could walk almost silently in v1 because the cushioning and sole were so soft. The later ones make noise because the sole is so much harder. I ordered a longer size. My toes still hurt. I kept going back to my v1, but they have finally fallen apart. I kept my latest 928s because I have yet to find a better replacement. But I am looking. What have you done to the 928s?

Have been trying to order it in white for many months. The only way I got it - finally - was to order a width bigger than I needed. I don't want colors. I want white - which goes with everything.
Other than that, it's okay.

These are alright but to be honest NB shoes simply aren't as solidly made as they were and it's maddening. Used to love the 1540v's- impossible to find now. These will have to do, but they're not as good and a bit mushy even with my orthotics. I'll keep hunting for quality. This isn't the shoe of my dreams- adequate at best

I have worn the same walking shoes for several years. This is the first time I've ordered them online; I am very disappointed with them, as they do not have the cushy foundation that I am used to. In fact, I had to purchase Dr. Scholl inserts so that they would be comfortable for walking.

THE QUALITY OF THIS SHOE IS NOT THE SAME AS IT USED TO BE...
ONLY HAD THEM FOR A FEW WEEKS AND THEY ARE ALREADY GATHERING AT THE TOE!
THEY ARE STURDY AND COMFORTABLE - BUT NOT THE SAME QUALITY. CERTAINLY WILL NOT LAST AS LONG AS MY OTHER ONES DID

I usually purchased 857, but you quit making them. It was recommended I purchase this model. I don't like how them feel and they don't hold up to my job. I'm on my feet 8 hours a day. This is the first time I'm very disappointed in your shoes.

What happened to the mesh upper 928 white shoe? I have been wearing them for years and prefer the mesh as they don't make my feet sweat like the leather ones do. Also, why can't you add a bit of color on this shoe?

Support with Rollbar is very good but shoe is too stiff for my preferred comfort. Actually intended to order 936, but now see those are no longer available.

Have not had the white leather available in my size for numerous months. Lady I spoke with said this would be an equivalent shoe just suede not leather. Shoe was way narrower in the toe box area.

I have bought this type of sneaker in the past and they fit perfectly. This one does not fit as well. These appear to be a bit smaller.

I have bought this shoe several times, and only recently am finding a problem. My baby toes, especially my left one is being squished. What gives? New design change?
I so wish you would make 6E footwear for those of us that have to wear braces. It would make life so much easier. Different colors in large sizes would also be nice!
Thank you.

I've had 2-3 pairs of New Balance sneakers and the 7 1/2 N fit great previously. Not in this shoe. The heel was too wide, so, I returned them.

I walk on the outside of my foot and my ankle rolls when walking in grass or plush carpets. The only shoes I find that I can walk safely in are Shoes of this type. I have a pair for work in an operating room and pair for regular wear. Problem is there is no cushioning in these shoes and I have severe foot pain from wearing them. I replace the insole with Dr Scholl's and that does help with the pain somewhat. For the most part, my feet hate these shoes but my ankle likes them. Why can't you put a better insole in these shoes?
