I am so grateful that NB offers wide and wider shoes. That said, I wish they offered more shoes in the widest sizes. I glad that the shoes fit. I don't care for the way they look or the height of the sole. However, my options are very limited because I need such a wide shoe. Then there is that very short tongue and very short shoe laces. I would rather have paid a few dollars more for a shoe with a real tongue and laces than had NB skimp on these.

I am a security guard and am required to wear all black shoes and I have to walk a lot on the job. These shoes are very supportive and look professional.

920 was out of stock for a long time. Had to go with the 928, @$60 more and you didn't apply my 25 % discount. I don't see the difference. The 928 will only last 6 months as well. I am a pastry chef, standing all day long. 920 or 928 seem to be the only shoe that fits my orthodics well.

I've worn New Balance 928s several years ago, but have been very pleased with Brooks Addiction Walkers. Unfortunately, the Brooks were out of stock. I was hoping the NB would work for me instead. However, the shoe has changed, not in a good way for me, from those shoes made before. I wear a 7.5 Extra Wide, but these felt too large in the toe box, although they fit my bunions correctly , as well as the mid-section and heel. I'm surprised the shoe is not extra wide in the toe box only to accommodate bunions/hammertoes. Instead, these seem designed for an extra wide foot and heel. When I tied them tight across the midsection of my foot, the front of the shoe puckered from the laces in the toe box area. Unfortunately, I had to send them back.

I bought these for my wife. The size was fine and the fit worked with her less firm orthotics. Unfortunately, her new orthotics have a much stiffer arch support which just did not work with them. It made them too tight on the top especially over her big toe and started feeling like extensor tendonitis pain.

These shoes meet my exact needs. They're waterproof with black leather upper and sole. They provide great arch & side support, as well as toe room. It took about 3 or 4 days to break them in, but now they're truly comfortable and are worn daily. They're ugly, but great for gardening & walking.

I stand on my feet all day at work and mostly in one spot which is very hard on my feet and legs, these shoes are very spacious and I should have bought a 1/2 size smaller. I don't like how the top of the shoe dents in near the toes, this makes the shoe look sloppy and too big. I love the roll bar.

I purchased these shoes for work. I work at a hospital so im walking ALL DAY. I was having trouble finding shoes for people who overpronate and went through excruciating pain. But after receiving help from a wonderful employee at a new balance store, I purchased these along with new balance's pressure relief insoles, and the combo is absolutely amazing. I am so happy that I found a shoe that I can walk in all day with absolutely no pain. And my overpronation is terrible. The only reason i didn't give this a 5 star review is because after wearing the shoe it stretches a bit and they become slightly loose. They are also very bulky and not to pleasing to the eye as far as style goes. But if you're looking for comfort and have moderate to severe overpronation, I'd definitely suggest giving this shoe a try.

I wear them everyday. They have made some changes to the shoe I didn't care for. The shoe box was enlarged, for people who wear orthodics, I wear orthodics and never had a problem with the shoe box, also the heal was widened which I like a heal that is narrower so my feet don't slide in the shoe. I have been wearing new balance for years.

Adult daughter with disabilities. She walks each day and wore through her NB. Shoes no longer available, tried something new. She said this shoe leaves her with no ankle or knee pain after walking. He has low muscle tone so this is great. Prior review warned of the short laces. It's true so makes it hard for her to tie shoe on her own.

I was hesitant to order the v3 based on the reviews, but Ive been relying on these shoes for 10+ years to get my feet through 12hr nursing shifts. Im relieved the shoes are still very supportive of my feet! Yes, the tongue is weirdly short, but that is more of an inconvenience and unrelated to the shoe's supportiveness. I hope they fix the tongue on the next version.

I really liked the color and the shoe had the right padding and arch for my foot.

I work with kindergarten students and am constantly walking. Our school floors are concrete and these shoes absorb the shock.

Daily shoe for arch support! Have had many pairs & colors of 928's. I am disappointed that your 25% discounts never apply to these shoes. Seniors need discounts too!

I bought myself a pair and went back with my mom to buy her a pair of 928s. The shoe feels bulky at first, but after a few days, it's absolute comfort. Both my mom and I replaced the insoles. Not the prettiest and stylish shoe out there, but darn its comfortable & supportive for long walks.
New Balance, if you are listening, do not change the shoe. Someone wants something prettier? Buy a prettier shoe. Leave this one alone.

I ordered the 928v3 in bone and really like the look. I did find that the tongue is shorter than the different pair I got earlier. The shoes are comfortable and true to size.

These shoes felt true to size. Not a lot of cushioning. I need a shoe with a rounded deep toe box which these have. I wore them all day the first time to get a feel of how to rate them. Will try with my orthotics or a cushy insert and they should be fine. Like the color for a leather-like look--something different than black or white.

Liked the shoe but I ordered in a Standard widih as the recent orders have been too wide at Wide. This shoe was so close but I have bunions and they rubbed. I will probably reorder in a Wide.
Only reason I didn't give all stars was the quality of leather (on all leather shoes) has changed.

These shoes have great stability I've been buying them for years. Very sorry to see that they've cheapen them though they used to be real leather and were very nice now there that fake leather. The man at the Shoe Store tried to tell me it was leather but no leather smell at all

I bought theses shoes for work and they're great. I am flat footed and also have ankles that tend to turn in so I was drawn to these specifically due to the roll bar. They work well but I have to admit my ankles still turn inward however not as much. Over all I love them!

20 years ago, I was told that this shoe (and the model before it) was expensive because it was made in the US. No longer! but the same price.
Initially, they look and feel great, but there is something about the imitation leather that makes the shoe break down and not give the same support.
Why?

I previously wore Brooks Addiction Walkers in leather, but it appears they have discontinued them. So I am hoping these New Balance leather shoes will work out. I have flat feet, wear orthotics, have a large bunion, and a hammer toe. I think I should have ordered several different sizes to ensure I had the best fit. Next time I think I will do that. The shoes seem too wide so I need to wear two pairs of light socks. It took me awhile to break in the shoes, but I finally am happy with them. One problem, believe it or not, is that the shoe laces are extremely long. Do you have a shorter size in beige?
