These are well built, sturdy shoes that provide me with a sense of stability I don't have with any other shoes in my closet. These are not squishy feeling shoes - but I feel a bit of spring in my step when walking (once again, none of my other shoes feel like this). One thing that is a bit of a puzzle for me (and the reason I'm giving only 4 stars) is that the right shoe feels like I'm wearing a vice on that foot at the end of the day. The left foot is happy as a clam. I took them to a shoe repair place to have the shoe stretched. I am very hopeful this will help.

My present New Balance 928 v3 are 8 2 E When I ordered I was confused as your shoes were measured in Xs I ordered what I thought was a 2 E thinking 2E was equivalent toXX. When I got them they were too wide This is very confusing when ordering

marked as size 6 but is really 5 1/2. It is an older version of this shoe with mesh top. Like the older version. fits well. want to replace it.

I have worn this model shoe for as long as I can remember, but this time it feels slightly smaller. Maybe my feet are swollen since it is summer, but never had this feeling before.

As usual, love the shoes - fit great. Just wish they were still available in white - not a fan of the black

I gave it a 4* rating only because my feet hurt all the time, if they didn't it would warrant a 5* rating. I very much need the roll bar because of overpronation in one foot. They are the only shoe that helps. I do wish they would come in more fashionable styles. I've been trying to get white for a very long time but that just isn't happening so I've settled with black with no other choice. My doctors tell me I am wearing the best shoe so cudos to New Balance.

The shoe was nice, but I have a narrow foot. Even though I ordered 2A I had a finger width of room and could feel my foot sliding side to side. Not good for hiking.

They looked great but unfortunately we're a little snug. Usually wear a nine but my toe was hitting the top of the shoe. Too bad I had to return them.

I purchased these shoes as my new walking shoes - I walk 3-5 miles daily. I was looking for something that would support my weak ankles and flat feet, which these do. They are a bit stiff (at least at first) and won't win any fashion prizes, but I feel they give me good support for my feet.

I ordered the tan/ neutral smooth leather in 8 4E. Does not feel like a 4E width. Not even as wide in the forefoot as my old pair of another model of New Balance women's shoe just marked W. Unfortunately I can't find that model anymore. I can get my feet into this pair, but when I take a few steps I can feel my little toes squished and pushing against the side of the shoe in a way that will end up being very painful if I try to wear these for any distance. My feet have been wide from birth - medium in the heel, wide at the forefoot/ toes. Then as an adult the big toe joints started turning into bunion joints, widening my forefeet even more. Just like my mother, and several people I know who I am not related to, so I know there are a lot of us out there. Really wish it were easier to find shoes, and also that once I find a pair that fits that the company would keep manufacturing it!

I use these every day. Very comfortable. I Don't buy any other sneakers. Years ago my podiatrist described the sneakers to use. These fit the bill. No foot problems since. Just wish they'd stick the grey in my size. I'd love a second pair in this color.

I ordered size 6, width of 2E(double wide). When the shoes came, I fit my feet in, it was too tight. They hurt my toes. It was a good pair of shoes, but did not fit. I return the item and order the other model of New Balance Thanks to the help of customer service on the phone to direct me how to return the order.

The heel is higher than I'm used to wearing and this makes my knees hurt. I hope to get used to it. My everyday shoes are the New Balance 1540v2 and v3.

I like these sneakers--but the toe box on my left foot (which is just a tad longer than the right foot) kept bumping up against the front of the sneaker. They are boxed and waiting for a new home, as I wore them outside long enough to realize they were irritating my toenail, even with thinner socks. I think the old NB toe boxes may have been just a bit higher or longer to accommodate both feet, but this pair didn't work for me.

I was previously walking in a pair of 990s and they were great, but I decided to try an actual walking shoe. These fit really well - I often have trouble with sizing in other brands. I have worn these on several 2+ mile walks on flat and hilly terrain and my feet are happy. The only issue I have is a pressure point on the inside of my right foot just about where the top-most eyelets are. I can adjust the tongue and lace tension to minimize it, but ultimately I am hoping this will resolve as the shoes break in. It is not enough discomfort to distract me while walking, and it could be that my foot is the issue rather than the shoe. I just mention it as the one issue I am having. Otherwise, well pleased with these walking shoes.

I can't believe NB goes up to womens size 13, it's awesome. This is a very well made shoe, but just a very tiny bit wide, although this may be because I usuallydon'twear socks. I will be purchasing NB in the future.

I have to wear a brace on my left foot so the extra wide size allows the shoe to fit over the brace. The rocker bottom helps with with my walking.

These are a sturdy walking shoe with a firm sole. The D width is excellent for me. Speaking of which, there are very few options in the market for D or wider widths for women. It would be great if there were more options in wide so that I could get something with more current styling. Also, I'd love to have more shoes constructed with suede/leather as the majority are in the mesh fabric.

Bought this shoe for walking. The deep foot bed meets the needs of hammer toes. The wide width provides comfort that's difficult to find in other shoes. Altogether great for my purposes of long urban walks and local trails. However, the tongue of the shoes tends to slip shorten as it is used. It would be useful to correct this problem.
