Near 85 years old, New Balance has kept me able to walk. Walking is so important to maintain good health and in my case with PAD (less circulations in Legs) and fallen arches...New Balance has been perfect to keep me walking....I have no pain in legs due to walking and your shoe keeps me walking.

My two previous favorite shoes were no longer being made. My Podiatrist told me to try NB, they were getting good reviews as a comfortable stable walking shoe. He was right the heel is wide enough and just tall enough I don't roll my foot and the toe box and overall roominess of shoe are great. I wore them two hours the first day and four hours the second. On day three I wore them all day, no areas were rough or rubbing me, I got no hot spots on my heels or toes. Okay I now have a new favorite shoe brand.

I really like the color...a nice change from white. They fit as expected with a deep toe box for hammer toes. Also my sport orthotics fit very well. I've been wearing this style New Balance shoe since my podiatrist recommended them for me more than 10 years ago. No more pain with these shoes. Amazing how the proper shoe can make such a huge difference. I wear them for walking and everyday use.

This shoe is wonderful. The support is great, the cushioning feels great & the leather is real. I bought a white pair first & after a week ordered a black pair. I have ankle injury, wear a brace, & usually am in pain if I am up too long. I have always had difficulties finding good shoes. These have solved my problems and I can now walk more before the pain starts. Great shoes NB! Thank you

i did research on shoes for my broken 5th metatarsal and the 928v3 has the stiff sole and hard supportive sides so you don't turn your foot and break a bone or tear a ligament. it also has good arch support. i got it in navy/grey. wish the had it in a 2nd suede model color, like brown and black would be great. the leather white and black are more orthopedic looking. the grey/navy look sporty and nice. i can do more and don't have pain, great shoes.

I love my shoes! Worth the money but I tried to talk myself out of them because frankly I think you guys need to come out with cuter colors than white black or a weird gray but they are awesome. I tried on cuter shoes and had to go back to them because of the way they balance my feet out. My arches seem to roll in and these made a big difference! Seriously my legs felt straighter I didn't feel like my knees were coming together it has totally helped my hip problem by I'd say 75% ! Just come out with cuter styles in it please

My orthopedic surgeon suggested this model after I re-injured my knee several years ago and was in the market for a knee replacement. The technology in this shoe has helped my gait in countless ways!

It is very hard to find a nice looking athletic shoe that has a FIRM sole and a rollbar. I have numerous foot problems -- achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, peroneal tendonitis, arthritis -- and I am still young-ish. But my podiatrist said to get these shoes because they have a firm sole which will take pressure off my joints and tendons and that is exactly what's happened. I am already feeling relief and can walk again without crippling pain. New Balance, PLEASE do not change the firm sole on this shoe! It has just the right amount of cushioning and firmness. I've heard rumors that a new version will be coming out with a "more flexible" sole. PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT! Flexibility is NOT what people buy this shoe for -- it's the opposite of what we need. You've got a million other styles with flexibility. Leave this one alone! (Do however, make the tongue longer and wider. It's too short and slides under the laces.)

The fit was true to size. I put in my own orthotics as I did not find any arch support in these shoes. These are comfortable to walk in. I will probably buy another pair. This is the first pair I have bought for walking. In the past, I have used New Balance shoes for work, but found they needed replacing about every year or sooner. I found Merrell slip-ons lasted longer, but I switched to New Balance because of arch pain with the slip-on shoes. I see consumers complaining about quality declines in Merrell and New Balance. I hope that I do not have issues. I wish New Balance would offer more color options in their more supportive shoes.

My doctor recommended these shoes several years ago to help alleviate my plantar fasciitis pain. This new design looks more stylish and less orthotic, but the support is just as excellent as the older model. I ordered 3 different sizes (8.5W, 9W, 9.5W) to see what fit the best, and I ended up keeping the 9W. For reference, my normal size for athletic sneakers is a 10W, so these do run a bit large. The suede navy blue is a very dark shade, which I like. My only complaint was that I actually ended up needing to return my first pair of 9W's -- the right shoe was a little wonky, like the side panels had been slightly off in their measurements, and the laces didn't line up straight down the top of the foot, more on the diagonal toward the outside edge. It was weird. I returned them with zero hassle from Zappo's (as usual!) and got a replacement pair that was perfect the next day. Just a factory defect, I suspect.

I have owned 927 in the past, and was looking for a replacement. The 928v3 appears to be the closest. My 927 was in a size 9 D, and I ordered the 928v3 in a size 9 EE. The outer sole width of the 928v3 is about a quarter inch narrower, and the insole seems to be just a bit shy of covering the entire interior width of the shoe, so that the outer quarter inch of my foot will not be on the insole. I popped out the insole, and noted that it was marked WIDE. Thinking that perhaps the wrong insole had been used, I spoke with a representative at the closest NewBalance retail store. They inspected both a 9EE and a 9EEEE in the 928v3. They compared the widths of the outer soles: no difference. They pulled the insoles, and both were the same ... WIDE. So my question ... where exactly does the extra "reported" width come from??? the height of the toe box? If so, IMO, they should be offering different toe box heights rather than different widths. I didn't expect to find this treatment in a top-of-the-line NewBalance product.

This shoe saved me while trying to recover from a foot injury, still having to spend a lot of time on my feet every day at work. The wide and tall toe box was exactly what I needed, and the black leather looks good enough to wear with business casual clothing. BAD THING is the very short tongue on the shoe...it jabs into the ankle area, and takes quite a while to get broken in and lose its stiffness. it is much shorter & awkward than tongues on other NB shoes I have had.

Great supportive shoe. Runs short in length. Order one full size up. Nice roomy toe box. I just hate the color I ordered, tan/light blue accents. Looks way too orthopedic, like an SAS shoe. I want support but i also want style. I'm going to order the navy/gray and see if it looks better.

These shoes look good, feel good, but I didn't get much wear out of them. Soles break down much too soon (less than 6 months). Also, be prepared to buy shoelaces as the ones provided are ridiculously long--so long they touch the floor after tying into a huge bow--and they grow longer every day!

This color runs smaller than other colors of the exact same shoe! I already own the same shoe and same size in gray and it fits perfectly. I ordered the same shoe and same size in white and in navy. The new pair of white shoes fits perfectly but the navy pair are much smaller even though they are labeled as the same size. They are both shorter and narrower. Now I have to return the navy pair and guess what size to reorder to get the correct fit. :( I do like the style of both the white and the navy pair.

These shoes are heavier than I expected for a sneaker. The extremely square cut it good for wide feet, but they don't have any appearance appeal. Sent them back and will keep trying other options.

I need a solid and supportive walking shoe that can accommodate my ever-growing bunions. This shoe was very highly recommended for, among other things, having a wide toe box. I just tried the 7M and it is crazy, crazy tight in the toe box - like, much WORSE than my old (Saucony) 7M walking shoes. And, the tight leather makes it clear that I'd be in for serious pain immediately. So, I'm exchanging this for the 7W and we'll see what happens. I'll just keep going up in width and hope something works...but the problem I generally encounter in this situation is that I also have a very narrow heel, so I will step right out of a wide width shoe. So, I'm not optimistic, but I'm not giving up yet.

The style and color are attractive - definitely more tan than grey! But I like the color a lot! To make them "fit" though, I snipped a couple of stitches near the big toe and then poured alcohol into the shoe and on the outside and wore them while they were wet. Had to do this several times, but finally got them comfy. That big toe joint becomes more and more of a problem as I get older - arthritis maybe. They feel much lighter weight on the foot than I expected. Reminder to New Balance - a shoe can be attractive and still have a roomy toe box - Which it seems like the designers forget! Too some of us, comfort is #1 in importance, then style and color!! Another thing! Remember the days of a combination last? With a narrower heel and wider toe? That would a great thing to revive!
