I have very wide feet so wanted the 4E which are hard to find. So far for short use they do not pinch my pinky toes. I can stand for longer periods of time without my feet feeling like they are on fire. An upcoming vacation will be the real test. I do not like that the shoe looks cheaper to me than other NB shoes I have purchased.

I use these sneakers just about every day as a walking sneaker. I received this pair because my previous pair of 847v3 sneaker had a defective heel sole pad come off within 6 months of their purchase.

All of the reviews on this shoe I agree with. Good comfort and nice looking. The one issue is the sizing. I wear a size 11. That's what I ordered. I should have ordered a half size less.

These fit well, but seem like a cheaper version of the 847 that I love. There is way less cushion. I felt like I was walking on air with version 2, but this is just okay. Style is pretty and they fit. I will probably buy another pair.

These shoes are great for my wide feet! The styling is pretty, and the shoes are flattering on my feet! I plan on buying them in another color.

Especially if I could buy a different size for each foot. Unfortunately I need a larger size to fit a brace that my podiatrist ordered for me. I had mistakenly ordered the 7WW for the first pairs not realizing they were more than roomy enough, but I had already started to walk in them.

I was nervous about the reversioning, needn't have been. I put the V3s on, and it was as if I had zero restrictions on my feet, but all the support I needed. There was no "break-in" period, they were comfortable and supportive from the instant they adorned my feet. My only downside to this is, why is the cost nearly double what my V1 pair cost?? I cannot accept another price DOUBLE by the time I need replacements, very nearly couldn't accept this one.

I wear a leather walking shoe in the winter but they are so hot in the summer that I was delighted to find that the 847 fits perfectly with my orthotic. They are light, nice looking and I feel like I'm floating on a cloud when I walk in them.

The white "NB" tag on the tongue is too bright. It limits the amount of styles the shoe can work with. It's especially awkward-looking if you're an overpronator. I may have to razor it off.

I thought I'd found the perfect walking shoe, so ordered, online, and to my delight discovered a slightly wider version of my 2 yo New Balance walking shoe. I'm 70 years old. Was walking along in Chicago, suddenly tripped on an upthrusting sidewalk panel. Broke a rib; bruised my hands. I think my comfort level with my new New Balance shoes may have led me to false complacency? Really hard to blame New Balance; why did they make such an effortless walking shoe? Look down? Don't assume the sidewalk is uniform? Not blaming anyone but myself, but this never happened to me before, being a NuBalance consumer for more than 10 yrs.

Like this much more than my previous purchases 1540 and 624 for walking. The slanted heel helps the foot roll forward while the straight backs on the 624 and 1540 cause me to sort of slap my foot down rather than rolling.

For people with narrow or very narrow feet, this shoe will require additional inserts. For some reason, New Balance has gone away from offering some options in shoes for men with narrow and very narrow feet. It seems only 990 is our option

this is a nice shoe that fits snug. this is the 3rd walking shoe I have purchased from NB, and it seems that they tend to be cut a little narrow, I wear a med. width.

I am walking in the Susan G Komen 3 day walk and will be walking 20 miles a day, 3 days in a row. I have been training and have already gotten in 2 - 20 mile walks and had plenty of room in the toe box (I bought wide) The shoes seem to run slightly big and maybe that is due to the wide width. I have very bad bunions on both feet and the toe box is great for that. No rubbing. I like the ventilation on the sides of the shoe. Very comfortable.

Needs a lot more arch support! 1 have to buy after market insoles to use

I normally wear a 6E wide shoe but was pleasantly surprised that a 4E in this model fits my feet just perfectly! I hope NB continues to give us with wider feet more options as for color ways and style. NEW BALANCE is my go to provider for COMFORT and style when it comes to footwear!

This shoe size 12.5 2E fits my foot. I stepped on something that became lodged in the bottom of the shoe when the shoe was only two weeks old. I bought another shoe in the same style different color.

I love the way these fit my feet. The roll bar helps maintain my foot stability and the broad toe area gives room for my bunions. I bought these 18 months ago, and am waiting for cheerier colors before I buy my next pair. Some cheerier colors are red, raspberry, yellow, etc. not paired with white.

These shoes look great and were comfortable to stand in, but when I stood to walk, my big toes met the end of the shoe. I sent them back and just ordered a different style hoping for a better fit!

I have been wearing the various versions of this shoe for years, but recently I've noticed a downturn in quality. On this pair, one of the plastic tag fobs inserted into the shoelace hole was so embedded that when I cut it, it could not be removed. Not only was this annoying, the plastic remnant irritated my foot through my sock. I was able to finally cut it back enough to remove the irritation, but customers should not have to deal with issues like these. Better quality control would have caught this. That being said, these are still my favorite shoes for my daily walking workouts, and I will continue to purchase them. Next time I hope I won't experience this, or a similar issue.

I work on my feet 10hrs a day! Avg of 8,000 steps a day. I have owened my NB 847's for two weeks now. Great fit and my feet dont hurt after work. Ive owened other NB models such as the 626 & 928's all great shoes!!
