I purchased this shoe from another online store and had to return it. I normally wear a medium width and that is what I ordered. But this toe box was too narrow and uncomfortable. I have the New Balance 877 in medium width and it fits perfectly. This toe box is much more narrow. Also the color is dark gray with orange. It is definitely not light gray and definitely not gray/pink as New Balance named it in it's description. It did seem to have very good support along the bottom of the shoe though.

I recently purchased the black version of this model and my walking experience thus far is fabulous. It feels like I'm walking on clouds. For the first time I'm able to walk with no feet, back nor knee pain. Now I just purchased the white version and walked on the beach this morning. Again, an awesome experience. Extremely comfortable walking experience. I would definitely buy this model again.

I have worn these shoes for about a month hoping they would become more comfortable. I have a bunion on my left foot and these shoes just won't adapt/adjust. I like the shoes but just can't keep wearing them as they really hurt my feet.

It fits and feels very much like the previous ones I had (847v2.) I have been buying the 84x series for a long time, however, and this is the first new version where I have noticed a "cheaper" look to them overall. They look like cheap knock-off brand shoes! I bought the gray with "pink" (more like a coral-to-orange), and while the colors are nice, the material looks like it's lower quality than my previous shoes.'' Comfort is still great, though. This is my favorite walking shoe--padded enough, just flexible enough, lots of room for my wider feet.

This is a great looking shoe and has a generous toe box and the wide width fits great. The reason for the return is the shoe sits too high by the ankle bone and irritates this area of my foot. With that said, I believe I do have a shorter distance than most between the bottom of my foot and ankle bone since I run into this issue frequently.

What a disappointment this shoe is. This New Balance shoe used to be great and I wore them for probably 15 years as a nurse, but the last two versions have been awful. They cheapened them up so much that they no longer are a comfort shoe worth the money. The vinyl on top of the shoe is starting to crack after only 2 months of occasional wear. The fit is sloppy- always wore 8 wide and now they are much bigger and no longer have the narrow heel that I loved about New Balance. I’m searching for another sneaker company, for New Balance no longer delivers a quality product. I would gladly pay a bit more for the same shoe if they kept the quality the same- bring back leather upper would be a good place to start.

I suppose they are still the only game in town for my type of foot, but the quality continues to decline with each new version of these walkers. I already always order a half size up, but these now feel too small. In addition, the toe box is narrower. I don't care for the colors offered and the material has been cheapened. My most recent New Balance pair, WW 847V2, began to rip at the heel after just a few months.

Fits my bunion perfect. Cushion is right for hammertoe. I buy this style every year.

I received these back in January and walked in them off and on. Today I put them on and walked in a theme park. My feet felt like they were walking on clouds. No foot pain, no knee pain and no back pain. I loved it!!!! I will definitely buy another pair.

I usually wear an 8W, however, with this shoe I am able to wear the 7.5W and there is good room on the sides and in the toe region. I absolutely love this shoe and would highly recommend for anybody having bunion issues. My heel doesn't slip neither but I have the shoe strings laced on the entire shoe for great support. You can remove the insert quite easily and place a gel cushion if you need this for your feet if you have issues with needing more support. Thank you New Balance for making a shoe like this.

This is my second pair of this style. I wore the first out from walking. If you need support and use orthotics, this is the shoe for you.

Lots of room for toes since it is a more rounded toe box than a pointed one.

I ordered the grey/peach and I love them! I wore them on a 12-hour nursing shift right out of the box and they were comfortable and supportive all day long.

The shoes felt comfortable right from the start.

I've been wearing several pairs New Balance walking shoes ( WW849v2) for 1 1/2 years. I found them comfortable and stylish. The fact that they come in Wide sizes with a generous toe box made them a perfect choice for my wide foot and bunions. The removable arch support allows me to easily discard it and substitute my own orthotics. ALAS, apparently New Balance has updated and "improved" this shoe (WW849v3). I needed to exchange it for a full size smaller. It now appears to be wider in the heel than before and even with my switch to the smaller size my heel comes out to the shoe when I walk. Loved the shoe but am VERY disappointed with the new changes.

Not good for bunions. There is a seam that rests on the pinky toe joint.

Have worn the 847 for years & as has been states this version 3 is a disappointment in the quality of the shoe. It's definitely been cheapened. So disappointing as I really liked this shoe. I hate having to start over & find another shoe but I guess that's what I'll do. If anyone who has work the 847 for quite some time has any suggestions for another shoe I'd be interested in hearing which one.

Just doesn't fit the way New Balance used to. A little disappointed.

This shoe is very cheaply made and thus very stiff. Really insulting when one considers the price. Just received them and going right back.

Ordered both sizes 9.5 EE and 10EE after foot surgery. Usual size 9.5 fit fine due to roomy toe box in this style. Somewhat disappointed with buckled material on right shoe which appears to be from poor workmanship. I will keep this pair though as I need them now for physical therapy. Plan to return larger size shoes.

These were recommended in an article about shoes for heavier people, unfortunately, unlike the many many pairs of New Balance I've had in the past, these just don't have enough support. My arches collapse and these did nothing to help prevent that, if I had kept them I could see myself wearing them out very quickly (and injuring myself) by walking over them on the arch side. This won't deter me from New Balance, but these aren't the shoe for someone with overpronation issues.

I wore NB years ago until they changed the style I liked. I saw this and decided to give it a try. Was so excited when I received them because they were super cute. I tried them on and had to double check the size because my toes were so cramped into the end. Very disappointing, as I wear the largest size they come in.

I’ve worn one version or the other of these New Balance shoes for years and years. The last three pair I bought had issues with delamination of the souls, but figured it I’d give New Balance one more try. First, I agree the toe box is rather large. Since I appreciate not having my toes smashed, I didn’t mind that. But, the material the shoes are made of feels and looks cheap; certainly worse than any other pair I’ve ever had. The “leather” is stiff and already has an odd crease over the toes of the right shoe after the first day of wear. The insole doesn't seem to have the support or cushioning of previous versions of the shoes. Since I have to wear black shoes for work, I am keeping them but will actively be looking for another pair of shoes. Very disappointed in these shoes - sizing, construction, and materials. Don’t waste your money.
