I was hoping more from these work boots, comfort was an issue. I have a 4e foot, 11.5 US, supination: the size seemed a little to small, toes felt pushing at front of shoe, but I think .5 size up might be too big. I have not wear them long enough to comment on durability, I might not because of comfort. I have bought many brands of work books with safety toe, from steal to composite.

Ordered the 4 (e) extra wide model. Was still not wide enough in the toe box area. The shoe material is not breathable and gets stained with salt stains from my feet sweating. Quite embarrassing. The insole is very comfortable impressively enough. The tongue at the top of the ankle is very stiff so it will definitely cause some soreness. These hi tops have superb ankle support when using a heel lock shoe lace tying method. Not the most comfortable shoe as after a 10 hour shift guaranteed to have blisters.

Had to return. Toe box is way too small. Maybe it could of worked if I had sized up, probably an entire size, not half size, but still not sure it would worked. One of the tightest toe boxes I've seen on boots, tighter than on hiking boots which I do have to size up one entire size bc of the toe box.

I was kinda surprised when my boots didnt fit correctly, I expect the sizing to be off with the cheap shoes but I have never had issues with NB until now.

Fairly lightweight due to the composite toe. There is zero cushioning with these. The soles might as well be made of brick. I had to swap out the insoles to make them wearable for a full day at work. Put some cushioning in these and they would be great.

Boots fit great and are very comfortable. Soles get clogged with everything. Wife will not let me wear them in the house. Have to manually clean the sole every time I wear them. And it is not easy to clean. Usually use a brush and flat blade screwdriver.

If you have a regular shaped foot then this is a great boot for you to wear, but I have wide toes across the top so these did not work for me. To be honest these were tighter in the cap than Reebok or Timberland. I need a shoe with a shape like an Altra or Lem's; for now my search continues and I am wearing my old Lem's to work.
These in a 10.5 EE fit tighter than the 627v2 in a size 10 EE.

Ordering shoes, in my size, was good. But trying to excess my rewards account was a lousy experience. Couldn't get a hold in the rewards department. Tired 2 times. And nobody responded back to me. Made this big price purchased and cant use towards my rewards. Customer service need BIG help. And i want to make another purchase but waiting so I can build up my points. Might have to go else where if I can't get any help...

Boots feel good and comfortable. The issue is the quality of the boot. If you are on your knees for some parts of your day, then these boots will not hold up. The best part of the boot is the ankle support. The laces could be better they feel cheap. For the price you can spend $50 more and buy a better boot.

The toes run narrow. I had read some other reviews before purchase but couldn't tell If I should buy my normal size or go wide. I should have ordered wide.

I needed these for my job. I am on my feet for 9 hours. They are too big, but I ordered my sneaker size, my feet hurt and I have only been wearing them for about 2 weeks. Hoping it gets better, but expecting more foot pain over time.

Im city bus driver and i look for a boot that will satisfy all day driving. This boot is too heavy and bulky for driving daily. Its very comfortable fit but it feels like I have two weights on. Love new balance but for any bus driver this isn't it.

Overall look and quality good however I ordered 11.5 (my standard NB size) and toes touch the end. Suggest ordering a half size larger than normal if my experience is representative of this model.

The boots were perfect fit with the exception of the protective toe cap. The toe cap was too narrow making my foot feel like it was stuck in a funnel at the toe of the boot. Need a much wider toe cap than these boots. I had to return them.

These are good fit and support only problem getting on with low back of boot. Also shoe laces too long and material not best.

I use for operating trains and like others have said the boot seems to have tears and cracks in leather the first pair started cracking at 7-8months this second pair i have had for a month and started cracking already cant believe it. Another issue is a white residue that forms in and around the stitching and laces area dont know if that is what causes the boot to damage early in its life and also have had a lace holder detach over time like another reviewer has mentioned .

I ordered size 12 2E, as other New Balance 12 2E's (626K2) fit very well. These are, at least, a half size too big, however. The width seems ok but the length seems more like a 12-1/2 to 13.

So I am currently wearing a Composite Toe 589 which is built like an athletic shoe. Very comfortable and breath well too. So they are the perfect summer work shoe. With winter approaching I ordered these work boots which appeared to have the same foot beds. They arrived, I was excited to try them on and start wearing them to break them in. Well they fit like a size too small. I measured the soles they are the same length as the Composite Toe 589 athletic style shoe but I think they are so heavily padded in the ankle and rear of the shoe that there is no room but to push the foot forward in the show and my toes were rubbing on the safety toe. It's too bad because I liked the boot and really like the Composite Toe 589. The Composite Toe 589 work shoes are light and after about six months they are holding up real well, for me they are true to size and a bonus are offered in Extra wide. I know that if I were in a rain down pour my feet would be soaked though. So to sum it up I thought the shoes were not true to size, too small by at least one size. If I ordered up one size I would be worried that the shoes would be way too big.

I bought my first pair in May 2018 and was quite happy with the fit and feel. After 6 months, the sides split open at the stitching. The leather actually tore open. I bought the next pair in January 2019. They tore in the same place in July. I work retail and don't use them for any type of outdoor activity.

The size is listed as 4E width but they are quite tight from side to side. The length is perfect.

Really liked the boot but unfortunately had to send it back, they run short and don't come in a half size past 13. Too bad Bc I liked the style and comfort and wish it did.

Laces a bit long. I question the long term durability of the top lugs

I suppose for some, just like anything else, some folks find this shoe excellent. But my experience wasn't so good.
Being my job has me out in the elements of Chicago's weather about 70% of the time, I need a shoe that's not only comfortable ()but able to meet employers safety requirements), warm when temps go down, and keeps feet dry.
Size runs small in the toe area, but if you go in shoe size then they slip. The safety toe put a real hurting on me.
Had to send back. The search goes on for a decent shoe.
