The original pair of 989's my husband bought fit well in 11.5 2E, however after 5 months or so, the toe cover peeled away from the boot thus allowing water and debris to enter the boot. Due to being comfortable, we ordered another pair, same size. NOW the fit in the 11.5 2E is too short, and going up in size would make the boot too wide. Very frustrating that size inconsistencies exist across all NB shoes during 2017 and 2018.

First pair of NB 989's in 11.5 2E fit good. however the toe guard came apart around 5-6 months of wear. Since we were past NB's take back window, they provided us with a $50 coupon. Ordered another pair of 11.5 2E's and the length is too short. We also experienced sizing inconsistencies in the girls and women's running shoes.

The sole was splitting from the bottom of the boot after maybe 3 days. It maybe be because mines a size 16, but you'd still expect it to be constructed accordingly. Also the toe cap curls back too far

I am a size 9.5 EE. This is my size for all other new balance products. I ordered 9.5EE, way too short. sent them back. I ordered 10.0EE, still too short, sent them back. I have now ordered 10.5 EE and we will see....very frustrating.
They look good for what they are. Seem well constructed.

Usually wear a 9.5 W. These were too short and too narrow in the toe box unlike all my previous NB walking shoes. These were returned within 3 days of delivery and I am still waiting for my refund to be posted!!

Horrible. Heavy, stiff, gave my big toe a blood blister even with socks and lotion. Runs at least a half size too small. Toes hit the box. Returned.

Light weight and comfortable. Already has a big rip in it after only 2 weeks.

I ordered a size 10 and it fits like a 9 1/2. I am on concrete all day and these boots kill my toes! I can't wear them and now I can't return them because I have worn them. I like how light weight they are, if I could wear them.

These are just like all workboots - uncomfortble and stiff. I have been purchasing various hiking boots from NB for years and they worked great for my job which did not require toe protection but did require a boot. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, NB has stopped making hiking boots. They do not have my size available in the remaining hiking boots.

The reviews are favorable however, I ordered a size 10 1/2 and I'm normally 10 1/2 or 11 W. Too small. I ordered an 11 and it was almost the same size as the 10 1/2. It was crushing my toes. I just returned them I will not buy them again.

The right boot is narrower then the left one. I already returned them this week. I'm like the look and the left boot felt comfortable, but not going to take a chance on getting a blister

The boots were enormous to the point that my foot slid around in them, but then the toes were so narrow that I got a blister the size of Montana on my right big toe. This is even after breaking them in. I really like the look of them, but I could not have been more disappointed.

These are not true 15's...more like 14's. I have been trying to return them for 2 weeks...nothing but runaround.

I run a grass cutting, pressure washing, and outdoor clean up business, these boots are not comfortable at all.
I'm in need of a good work boot and these NB are not the ones.(I wear/have a lot of New Balance shoes 30+ and thought these would be great, but not so much)

I can't wear these for two minutes without my feet hurting. I love New Balance otherwise. I can go all day in a pair. The safety shoes leave a LOT to be desired.

First off it should say made in China . Poorly made boots not comfortable not what I would expect from New Balance . I may not buy any new balance products again if I didn't wear them at work for the one day I used them I would have returned them

Uncomfortable, no good for causal walking on concrete. Insoles are murder on your heels. The pain and soreness is unbearable

Good concept of having a hiker style safety toe boot but make sure you order a size up. Also I get these are boots but there is next to no cushion in these things you minus well have been walking barefoot. Unfortunately these were not a good purchase for me but if you want to try them out I would order a size up and plan on getting some aftermarket insoles so your feet don't ache after working all day in these boots.

Horrible really uncomfortable shoes. My fault for not returning. I’m a true size 11, this boot here not true to size. Should of went 11.5 now I know.
