I have used the 1260's in various generations with no problems- loved them all. Provided great support and comfort. Not so with these (v7). Don't like them. Not as supportive or comfortable. Feel like my feet are slipping. To slipper-like.

I’m in desperate need for a good gym shoe and NB just keeps changing their shoes! I need good arch support, excellent heel cushion (I stand all day & a lot times in one spot) and a roomy toe box. Can’t find it! These were too narrow in the toe box, even in a wide. The midsole has awesome cushion but the heel, not so much. The arch support was lacking as well. I just know these aren’t going to cut it and my feel are going to kill. Not worth the risk! I miss my 1080v6!!!

Please bring back the 1260v5 features/technology. As several stated, the 1260 no longer provides the level of stability from before. Serious overpronators need structure; which can't be accomplished in a shoe with a slipper feel. The 1260v5 was a terrific blend of structure and comfort across the arch bed. Thanks.

Liked the appearance of these shoes and the 8mm drop but not enough cushioning and toe box did not have enough volume on top. I went with Brooks Adrenline 19 instead, more cushioning and very comfortable despite being a 12mm drop.

Ordered the Polaris color which appears a bright sky blue on my screen. In real life, these shoes are definitely a bright ocean turquoise. Shoes will accommodate an orthodic. Use the lock lace technique if you have heel slipping issues. Shoe felt great everywhere except on how the tongue attaches to the inside of the shoe. It is bulky and rubs on the top of the foot. Was a problem when just walking so running in these would require a bit of moleskin and thick socks which wasn't going to work for me. But easy to send back with Zappos easy returns.

I really wanted to love these sneakers. I have wide square feet and have loyally relied on New Balance for years. Sigh, it seems that NB has shifted their sizing. What used to be extra wide, alas, is not quite so wide any more. These went back. I ended up ordering and keeping with the Dyad from Brooks (8.5 2E) which has been fantastic (very pleased) and I just bought a second pair of Brooks. While I am disappointed by these changes by New Balance, I have only kudos for Zappos' great service and selection - much thanks Zappos to your fantastic team for helping me meet the need!

The area where you put your foot in where the padded heel and tongue are is too large and does not support the foot, They are very comfortable but I wouldn"t be able to where them since they lack stability and balance. They don't feel anything like the New Balance shoes I've had in the past.

I have a pair of 1260 v5 which I love! I bought the new 1260 v7 online thinking they would feel the same, but they didn't. Nice looking shoe and great support but not enough cushion in the sole. feels like cement. So I returned them to the store and a very knowledgeable salesperson guided me to the 860. Still good support but feel so much better on my feet. I wish I could buy the 1260 v5 though. That was the best.

Tried 2 different sizes and widths and still felt tight -112E and 11.5D. Maybe an 112E would've worked but the shoe is not cushioned enough for me in toe area. I need it more for walking than running so felt a little to hard on sole overall. Had to return both.

These are nice running shoes, but I don't feel like they are a "stability" shoe. They're adorable, and the colors are fabulous. However, the low-cut ankle and minimal heel buildout just don't provide the same stability and cushioning as other NB styles. I will probably end up with the W990v4 -- it's not as cute, but makes my ankles a lot happier!
I agree with other reviewers that they run narrow; I usually take a narrow width, but ordered a medium based on reviews. Midfoot width was a tiny bit wider than a true New Balance narrow, but heel fit and room through the toebox was about the same. Consider ordering a width up!

I typically wear a size 5-1/2 EE running shoe in New Balance and Brooks. These fit well in length and width but the outside top edge of the shoe hits my ankle bone.

I find the 1260 V7's to be less supportive and less motion controlling that the V6's. The V7's also have a lower volume than the V6's, such that if you use orthotics you will run out of room. The fit is good and they are well made, but are a less of a stability shoe than the previous version.
Would not recommend the V7's.

I loved the previous version. They were my all time comfort sneakers and great for over probation. This version was much too low on the sides which made it feel like there was less ankle stability. I returned them

Ended up returning - it was a bit too narrow in the toe box.

I typically wear a 8.5 EE so that’s what
I ordered. These were definitely too narrow for me so I returned them. Super disappointed because I really like the looks of these and am now having trouble finding something that will be wide enough.

I really wanted to love these shoes, but they were horrible for my feet. They were very hard on the inside and pushed all the wrong pressure points, making my feet go numb every time I wore them. I tried to break them in, but they still cause problems. I wish I had saved the box so I could return them. I do not recommend these shoes.

I have worn NB for many years for a walking and jogging shoe. I ordered the size I usually wear 7.5D. This toe box is shallow so my foot was cramped and I knew it would never work out. I liked the look and would have order two pair in different colors if it had been comfortable. Sigh.

As much as I like these good looking shoes, they didn't work. The sole was too soft for me, and the heel was so shallow. No way any of my flat feet orthotic inserts would work in these, heel felt like it was halfway out.

Loved the previous versions of this shoe, but New Balance has ruined it with V7. Sloppy fit in the heel and tighter in the toe box. Doesn’t even feel like the same shoe. The only thing I liked was the color.

I was so excited to get these only to be disappointed. I wore them around the house and immediately knew they were too narrow. Returned.

1260 has been a shoe I have enjoyed running for many years. Unfortunately this time to my surprise when I received my shoes it was too big in every way. I had to return it.

The first pair that came was a B width instead of the D width that I had ordered so I didn't even attempt to try it on. The second pair was the correct length and width that I have used in the past with New Balance. It was too short probably by a 1/2 to full size and it had a very, very narrow toe box. I sent them back and will now order a much older style that I know is true to fit for me.

I have a 2A foot and 4A heel. This fit BUT it was SO uncomfortable. I wore them around the house to see if I just needed to get used to them but no go. I think there is just not enough padding for me. The search continues...

This new balance 1260v7, fits a little tight. I really miss the model 840v3, it fit so well along with being compatible to my orthodics.
