These are beautiful shoes and I really like them, but they need to be a wider width. I am sad because they must go back.

I have never been able to wear Dansko, as the footbed was always to hard. This Dansko shoe was comfortable right out of the box! It is very soft and comfortable for long day wear. I would like it even better, if it were offered in a non-leather option. Bottom line...this is a very comfortable shoe I receive many compliments whenever I wear them. This is a great comfort shoe that is also good looking.

Pros: I LOVE these shoes. After wearing the wrong shoes for so long and dealing with extreme pain in my feet, I am so glad that I found these. I worked a 6 hour shift, on my feet the entire time, and my feet felt great. Like the other reviewers said, they are comfortable right out of the box. Cons: They are really expensive, but I think for the quality of the shoe it's worth it.

Love these shoes so much they are now my work standards and I have in several colors..need navy!

Cute shoes! There was no "wear in" period, just wear & be comfortable. The buckle is just for decoration, the strap is really velcro. This worries me as the velcro on my Dansko Ainsley's from 4 years ago would not hold up, they fell apart constantly (I had them fixed twice). But so far, so good. Dansko's quality dipped a few years back, but these seem as comfortable as the Professionals used to a long time ago. Fingers crossed!

This is a very nice shoe. The leather is quite soft and overall the shoe seems to be of good quality. The removable footbed is quite thick and supportive. You can actually adjust the strap with the buckle, but the strap itself attaches with Velcro. I have hallux rigidus ( arthritis in the big toe joint) and metatarsalgia so I need to always have a shoe with a removable footbed so that I can take it out, put in a carbon fiber plate and then put the footbed back on top of that. The carbon fiber plate keeps my big toes from bending when I walk and so removes the pain in that joint. The vamp of the shoe sits right on my big toe joint and causes some pain. I don't know if in time the leather might soften enough to no longer cause pain, or if it will always hurt. I like the shoe and want very much to keep it. It is what passes for a dress shoe for me, but at this price I don't want to keep it and find down the road that it didn't soften enough to be comfortable. I will probably have to return them. If you are a woman with no foot problems I would recommend them. I didn't give them 5 stars across the board because I probably can't wear them.

The shoes fit wonderfully right out of the box, with the Velcro strap being the perfect way to “customize” each shoe since my one foot needs a bit more room than the other. The arch support is good as well. As far as the style goes, they’re on the basic side so they looked good with the dress I wore them with but I know they could also go well with a work outfit too. The only downside is that after wearing them for 4 hours I started to feel the shoes rubbing against my toes and I knew I would get a blister if I didn’t get the shoes off soon. I think that was on me, though, since I didn’t have socks or stockings on. Next time I’ll have to try them with something on my feet so that doesn’t happen again.

A bit clunky but fit was good and it's pretty comfortable.

I like this shoe. I ordered the size 39 as I wear this in the Ecco brand, but this shoe looked and felt larger, so I am returning it.

I really wish the buckle was a real buckle and not velcro. I liked the shoes, but I don't trust the velcro to last, and without the strap these wouldn't stay on. The toebox was nicely sized - it's too small on a lot of shoes but these were great.

did not work with my orthotics

I love Dansko shoes but this one does not work for me, I need a different last like the Marcella.

This is a well made shoe, unfortunately for me it is not built on the last that works for me like the Marcella Dansko. My feet are difficult to fit.

I already own these shoes and bought a new pair in the same size because the Velcro was wearing out and my shoe straps would not stay attached. The right shoe was so tight and painful it hurt to walk in it until I put a shoe stretcher in it over night to stretch it out. I thought it was very strange that the same shoe in the same size could be so different. I give solid 5s for my old pair but the new ones aren’t as comfortable yet

The soles are very comfortable. The shoes look like the picture and feel well made. Unfortunately, they did not fit my feet. I ordered a 10.5 Wide. The heel and center of the foot were too wide and the toe box too narrow for me.

This is a beautiful pair of fine grained leather shoes! I wish I could have kept them. The size 40 W (EU) is accurate in length, but it isn't wide enough. If you need a shoe that's a C/D width this would be wonderful! I need a full D to an E and these just aren't that wide. I'm really sad that these didn't work out.

Length of shoe was fine but there was too much of a gap between the top of my heel.

Dansko is not a good fit for a narrow foot. I tried them years ago when clogs were popular, but they were too wide for my skinny feet. I was hoping they had added more narrow footwear, but this pair was way too wide.

They are perfect

The shoes did not arrive when promised so I cancelled the order and purchased the same shoes from your parent company, Amazon. The order arrived the next day! The fit is somewhat larger than I need but I like the shoes too much to return them so I'll wear socks...not a look I like as a senior but one must compromise for quality and style.

Was too small

I purchased these in a size lower than usual and they will work. I usually wear a EUR 39, but the 39s were way too wide in the heel so slipped a lot. I purchased the 38 and they are keepers. I feel that I can walk a good distance in them. I have high arches and the support is moderate, and they are not deep enough to accommodate my 3/4 orthotic I use for my arches, but will keep anyway.

I tried the Dansko Fawna and Taos TaDah, looking for a travel shoe with good support. Both seemed well-made of quality leather and comfortable. The problem is the sizing. On my narrow size 9.5 foot, the 39 was just a bit too short, while the 40 was way too big. I'm still looking.

The right size but the top v part cut into my foot making it unfordable to wear.
