The style is pretty cute and just what I was looking for but they just weren't comfortable. Unusual for me and Dansko! If you remove the insole to use a custom orthotic, the shoe becomes very hard in the sole. You'd think that that springy heel would help but nope. If you can use their insole, these may work out better for you. Ordered my usual Dansko 38 (usually US 8) and these were slightly loose. Not enough to size down but enough to wear thicker socks. Back they went!

First of all, NO ONE can compare to Zappos. I ordered the shoes on 9/10, they were mailed out that same day, and I received the shoes the next evening. How is that for fast service. The shoes are made of beautiful suede leather. However, I believe they run a bit small, and narrow. When I took them out of the box, right away I could see that they appeared to be shorter than a size 11, which I ordered. The size offered was a size 42 (11.5-12). I chose this size, and it is a pretty small size 42, also for a medium, it is quite narrow. There was no room for my foot to feel comfortable. I reluctantly had to return them. I saw them last year, but waited to late to order them. I decided to order them now, before the winter started. So disappointed that they do not fit. This is the point where you appreciate the return policy that Zappos offers. No one comes close to their policy. There is no better place to buy shoes than Zappos, in my opinion. I highly recommend Zappos to everyone.

Very very stiff leather. Extremely uncomfortable

The Dansko "Joy" is a cheap version of the previous Dansko "Lucille". They look almost identical but the quality cannot compare. Be aware there is a difference.
