Very happy with this shoes. Soft but supportive sole fit true to size. I wear with a thin sock. My only complaint is that the laces are very thin and flimsy for a shoe of this stature.

The fit and size for this shoe is good. They are comfortable. I chose the Born boot instead however. It was a tough choice. I wasn't too fond of the tie lace but the deciding factor was the price. I didn't feel like they were worth the nearly 50$ more than the Born Trinculo. I am a fan of Dansko, I hope I don't regret my choice.

The shoes are very comfortable. The top of the bootie hits above my ankle, so there is no rubbing or discomfort there, like I have experienced with other shoes of this type. Great for casual wear with pants and jeans. They have the comfort of a tennis shoe, but look nicer and a "step up" from the sneaker look. I have worn them all day with no discomfort and no breaking in time needed. My only complaint is the high price....seems like alot for a very plain and simple bootie.

This was a very nice pair of shoes, but the sole was so stiff that it really hurt my left big toe - hurt it so much that I returned the shoes. I need a very flexible sole - like the ones in Crocs. Also, the arch felt as if it were far back in the shoe - more towards the heel rather than where a normal foot needs an arch - but then, I don't have normal feet. Otherwise, the shoes were very pretty. I wanted them to work for me because they looked so nice.

This is my first Dansko shoe. I took the plunge after rave reviews from colleagues. I wear this shoe often, with casual or business-casual pants in a variety of colors and neutrals. I like to wear it with thicker socks because I can't quite tighten the part around my ankle to keep it feeling secure (without over tightening the part across the arch of my foot...I think this is something a bit unique to my foot anatomy). Like others, I double knot the laces, but don't have trouble undoing them. I expect to get a lot of miles out of these.

I work in a casual environment and this is a good work shoe for me. It's a well-made, comfortable shoe. My feet are pretty narrow and the fit is fine for me except there's a little bit of "bagginess" at the top (below the tongue) when I draw the laces as tight as they need to be. They still look and feel smart, though.

I was not a fan of these boots. First off, I will say I hate heels, but I ordered them anyway reasoning that the 'slight' heel wouldn't bother me, well it did. However, if you are used to wearing heels, it probably wouldn't. My main objection? I found them very unattractive in person. I'm sure they are made of good material, and I know Dansko is a good brand, but the style was really bland and left me feeling like my almost $200 purchase could be better spent on a different pair of shoes entirely. So.. I find them very, very plain. And yet in my opinion, due to the heel, they also lack practicality. I guess it's about personal taste at that point.

It's comfortable, but it doesn't really look good on the foot. The arch area of the sole is kind of narrow, so it's not super stable. Also it felt a bit large/roomy on the top. The laces don't seem to keep the shoe together. I don't think I'll be keeping this shoe.

Love Dansko because of their quality construction and excellent arch support. However, few Dansko styles fit my ultra narrow foot, and these were no exception. I probably could have made them work with thick inserts, but prefer that not be the only way to make a shoe wearable. Sad to return.

I am not sure whether this style was a little smaller than expected or if the toe bed was not as roomy. My toe hit top of shoe. Size 40 my toe was comfortable but shoe, overall, felt a bit too large. I wear an 8 1/2.

Finding a winter bootie that is already Scotchgarded is wonderful. But the famous Dansko stiff sole was not was I was looking for right now. Returning.

Nice enough, but a little heavy. Fits well and probably good on slippery surfaces. Like that it ties up so I could wear with crop pants and not accentuate my skinny ankles! Returning because I realized I am looking for a different style.

For once in my life, I found an arch that is too high for my foot. Really uncomfortable

I bought these in the black... very comfortable and very happy with the fit. They look great with skinny jeans and leggings. I wish the blue option had dark soles instead of the light color as I would have gotten them too!

The soles on these shoes look very cheap. I guess plastic soles are on trend now, but I can't help but think it's just another way for manufacturers to bilk consumers. They are comfortable, but I just didn't like the way they look, so they're going back.

Shoes felt extremely stiff. I'm a 7.5 and they were too big. Loved the style.

It is very narrow at the heel.

I wear almost exclusively Dansko so I know what to expect. I had bought another Dansko style "Desert" boot called Lucille and I loved the cute styling. This one is a not styled the same. It looks big on my foot, the top comes up too high on the ankle, and overall it looks more like an actual '70's Dessert boot, which was never very attractive. They fit well and were comfortable, but they went back.

I like leather shoes. These shoes have leather trimming but most of the shoes is man made materials. I'm disappointed. They immediately made my feet sweat.

I ordered 2 pairs of Dansko boots, and kept the other. This particular boot is very plain, which would have been OK had it been the more comfortable of the two. I personally didn't prefer the slight wedge either for my foot.

These are very cute, but sadly much too narrow in the toe box for me. I’m disappointed that they are going back. Zappos makes shopping and returns so easy. You won’t find better customer service.

Unfortunately Dansko quality has diminished with this boot and its predecessor, the Lucille. Purchased 3 pairs, and after wearing the first pair for a few months, they began to squeak and creak. Contacted Dansko, sent them back and was told new pairs of the same style aren't available again until March, so I either wait or find a different style for replacement. Meanwhile, the 2nd pair has just started to squeak when worn. The Lucille boots had the same problem. Other issue is the laces: they are somewhat flimsy and way too long, necessitating making huge loops and double knotting them. In addition, the lengths of the laces vary between pairs. It's too bad, because I love the style of both the Joy and Lucille, and they're very comfortable especially during extended wear throughout the day/evening. The nubuck material on the Joy is more resilient and easier to keep clean than the Lucille was. If only Dansko would up its quality control!

Returning shoes because the sides of the shoe rubbed around my ankle bone making the shoe uncomfortable. Socks didn't help either.

These shoes are so cute! BUT..... they will not stay tied :( Doesn’t matter if I double knot them. I think it’s the heavy metal tips on the laces that are pulling and making the knots come undone. So frustrating!

I found this shoe to be stylish and comfortable with good arch support. However, one of the shoes developed a squeak when I walked which I found very annoying. After contacting Zappos about my complaint, they kindly offered to send another pair. Sadly, the second pair also developed a squeak right away. If a shoe that squeaks with every step you take is bothersome to you as it is to me, I do not recommend this Dansko Joy boot.
