The product coming to me unscathed was shear luck. After paying $18.00 for 2 day shipping, I thought that the packaging would not be the equivalent of a plastic grocery bag. Do not get me wrong, the product is all that I asked for, but it was very disappointing to have the packaging have holes in it where I can see my bag through it. It was a very unfortunate to see such cheap packaging. My heart sank a little when I saw it thinking that I would probably have to return it. Pictures below.

I like the look and just wanted the Closer but I carry more stuff and it is not as expandable (deep) as I expected. My laptop fits well in the cushioned pocket. Still looks cool but funky if it is overstuffed.

I received the medium size which was suggested by their sales support. I use this to haul a MacBook Pro 15-inch, wall charger, a couple of small external drives, and a mobile wireless mouse. The fit is pretty snug, but it works. The side stretch pocket barely fits a standard plastic water bottle. I was hoping I could fit a bit more considering the price. I gave this 3 stars because the size is a bit small, but the quality is excellent.

I am reviewing the video above, believe it or not. I am basing my briefcase purchase on the capacity and also the size of the opening. I watched the video, sorta shocked that the woman never even opened up the bag to show the inside ! Dumbfounded ...

I have tried to use this product while biking to work, which is one of the featured ideas. I was afraid that the bag would feel big a bulky on me, because I'm a petite woman and even with the strap as small as it would go, it wasn't quote small enough to fit well. When I first used it, however, I found it to be very comfortable. I don't believe this is a good commuting bag though, because it is really made more like a briefcase. The main opening is very narrow, so fitting something like your lunch is difficult. It really would work best for papers or books. I also did not like the metal clasps on the front. They are hard to open and close and while they look pretty, I want something that is functional. I also wish there was an adequate place to hold a water bottle. The side pocket is so tight that it's hard to get one in there. Overall, it is made well, just not what I was looking for in a bag.

It is not a bad looking case, but I purchased it as a replacement for my Command Messenger. The Command Messenger was the best commuter briefcase that Timbuk2 ever made, but they decided to discontinue it. This case is not large enough and more importantly it is designed poorly. One of the most crucial things is an administrative panel, yet they decided not to include one. There is no dedicated spot for a tablet. This is not a bad looking case, but it is not very functional.

The laptop pocket is a half inch too narrow to easily remove and insert a 2019 MacBook Pro. In addition, it was on sale and not eligible for return/exchange, which was disappointing.

Great bag but too small for me. Returned it to their main store here and they still deducted return shipping from the refund? I live in SF and want to support this SF company but I don't get it.
Disappointed I,

The Closer Case Small does NOT fit a 15" laptop (Lenovo) in the rear padded lap top compartment! I will have to return it.

Tried to return as a design flaw - ( I mean, you really DESIGNED this to make noise with every step?) but you wouldn't accept the return.

Received the product with a defect in one of the pockets. (The inner liner wasn't fully attached). Also, I can't fit any water bottles in the "water bottle" pocket.
To top it off, they charged me $8, to return the product.
I'll stick to other brands.

The bag has a strap that will extend by accident on you on a regular base because of the poorly designed adjustable slider. The detents on the slider are small and the clasp unlocks very easily especially when the bag is heavy (because your computer is in it). Based on my experience, when I grab the strap to dismount my hand lends on the slider which triggers unwanted strap extension resulting in the bag smashing to the ground. Luckily, I haven't broken my computer but, according to me, this is a big design flaw.

I like the design and look of this bag. However, after about a month it began developing a very loud squeaking sound that appears to originate from the strap. I contacted Timbuk2's customer service regarding this, but they never bothered to respond.
