I've just got back from a trip to Colorado where we did lots of hiking. These boots performed nearly perfectly. Since I prefer more padding than provided by the stock insoles, I installed after market insoles. With those these boots were fantastic. My only issue is that these are borderline slippery on wide flat rock. But otherwise they gripped well. Very comfortable - no hot spots, blisters or cramping. No break in really required. I'm very happy with them.

I got these boots for my husband and he loves them. They are super comfy and durable. He uses them for work and when we go on hikes.

Very durable and comfortable even after many hours walking on uneven and rough terrain. Soles clean easily of mud but still have good traction.

Got these boots for my teenage son on the eve of a trip to Yosemite/Lake Tahoe for a hiking intensive vacation. He had no chance to break them in as it was an unexpected purchase (his feet grew from one month to the next, who knew? LOL) He put them on day one and we went on a 4 1/2 mile hike - the boots were great. He commented on how comfortable they were and they ran true to size so there was no pinching or tightness in the fit. We encountered some water along the way and the waterproofing was perfect, no slipping or sliding either. All in all, a great purchase and I highly recommend them.

I work at least 14 hrs a day. I am either lifting equipment, doing some minor construction projects or in the truck driving. This boot serves every purpose and is very comfortable.

Great boots, fast delivery, quality at a reasonable price point. The most comfortable boot ever worn, no break in was needed stands up to the elements. I wear a men's size 8 and was true to size. Love all the colors. The only wish would be a more cushioned footbed.

I bought these boots for a fishing trip and didn't need to "break them in". They handled water, snow, even fish slime (I dropped a fish on my boot) and a few wipes and the shoe looks back to normal. Despite the suede, it is truly water proof. I even got stuck in sinking mud and had the shoe covered in thick muck. A few wipes on hardened snow and a drying period and the shoe looked almost new. Amazing boot, will even buy a second pair. Only thing is they run big so I had to order a half size down compared to my other Columbia boot.

Son loves the vintage hiking boot look with all the great features of a modern boot. Haven't tried the waterproofing out yet but not worried. These will be perfect for his summer in the mountains and beyond.

I normally have to break in a boot for a bit before i can stand a full 12 hour shifts in them. not the case with these. comfortable from the moment i put them on and still that way on 7 straight 12 hour nights. 10K to 15K steps per night. i would totally recommend them and wish i had bought 2 pairs.

These boots are definitely from foot heaven! My husband served in the US Air Force for 10 years and had been working as a civilian for 20 years now! He has had hundreds of boots and these he says are by far the best boots he's ever owned!

In general, great shoes from a great manufacturer! The texture of the sole is dense (I would even say oak to the touch), but there are no questions about bending - it does not cause discomfort while walking. But the sole is really cool. The quality of the shoes is very good - neat seams, in some places double lines (for suede and textile inserts). At the heel - "layering" of leather, mesh and suede, thanks to this, shoes have a more sporty look, although in the nose and under jeans look more like winter shoes (although no, they only look that way if viewed from above, because the sole quite tall, with "teeth")

Will be going on a trip soon, but i the meantime in the city walks I've had with this shoe, it's been great and comfortable to walk. Looks heavy but it's actually pretty light

As a letter carrier who routinely walks 12 plus miles a day, these shoes provide more than adequate comfort. Many other shoes claim to be waterproof these are. They wear well and although I wear the tread down, (which usually takes about 3 months) the uppers stay in very good condition. In fact, the last two pair are used for general purpose wear.

I received my boots on Monday and started to wear them as I am preparing my trip to Africa. Had no chance to try the waterproof system but the most important for me is the comfort. Because of some issues I have to use a special insole so I removed the existing one, mine goes great and even that way it feels comfortable. They are warm but light weight! Great pair!

Great shoes , only con is that the lays get undone very frequently, which is because of construction of the shoes. Otherwise great shoes, big enough to cover most of the leg. Waterproof too...

This is a great boot! I always buy men's shoes and boots because they fit my wide feet better. In women's sizes, I wear 10 1/2 -11 if I can get D size width. In men's, I always buy 9 1/2 M which is equivalent to women's D. I always replace the standard insert with one with better cushioning and support. That aside, in my area, we just got the biggest storm we've had in years of 3 feet of snow! I wore these boots to use my snowblower and shovel snow for 5 hours yesterday. Gotta do it again today..... My feet stayed dry! My toes started getting a little cold but not enough to hurt, as these boots are not insulated. That's OK with me though. They were great with great traction, which is my main concern with ice and snow. I'm a 70 yr old female that's had two hip replacements and several foot surgeries and these boots were just wonderful! I felt very comfortable in them and had no worries. They'll be great out in the woods come hunting season too! I bought the Elk/Mountain Red color in men's 9.5 and they look great too. I've already gotten a few compliments on them.

I bought these for my husband for his birthday. He said he wanted to get into hiking. These are perfect! They are higher topped which is nice but not too high and they are super comfortable. No complaints from him!
