Bought these as a Mississippian moving to Iowa in preparation for a lot more snow than I can fathom. I think I will Be well prepared with these boots. They are very tall and well insulated with faux fur. The actual shoe fit nicely and as expected but they were really hard to get out of! Will need a boot hook.

I bought this boot with high hopes from The North Face to keep my foot very warm for the brutal winter weather. Within two hours of having them on, my feet were still cold, just being inside my house. I didn't think they were AS warm as people made them out to be. They have a rubber sole on the outside, as seen, (with lining inside) that didn't seem to keep my feet warm. They were stiff walking in them and not a "new shoe" stiff. I felt as if they would not break in well when wearing them daily. They run very true to size for length and width. I am a 7.5 (which is what I ordered) and even had a little room to spare with a thicker sock on. Width wise, I am average-- which fit great on my foot. These boots are very stylish for being a winter boot. Appealed to my eye very quick--which is why I bought them in the first place! I would use/buy these boots for mild winter temps--not extreme weather. I don't feel as if they would keep my foot as warm as I would like for the negative weather we experience. I do have several North Face products, so I just had higher hopes for these boots. (and will continue to order from the North Face-- because their products are great!) All in all, I really did like the boots!-- just not what I was particularly looking for.

The first time I put these boots on one of the plastic rings broke that the laces go through. The boots are amazing. I really love them even though they are expensive. The plastic rings that holds the laces in place are not the best quality. They should be metal.

Definitely water proof, and warm. But, unfortunately caused too much rubbing on ankles.

I actually bought these for my wife and she liked them but they just didn't fit right. Even wearing thick socks/leg warmers there is looseness around the ankle when she walks and she couldn't get it right enough in that area. They look great but we retuned them and went with a different boot.

I was disappointed not to have the second set of tonal laces included with my purchase. After talking to CSR at North Face was told that the color I ordered, which is "TNF Black/Plum Kitten Gray", is the only color that does not come with a second pair of laces. I have seen the Black boot with the plum colored laces on other websites from different shoestores. Would be nice to have a product that is comes with all the spare laces it is supposed to as advertised. Misleading. Seems foolish to spend time debating a second pair of tonal laces, but that is what is advertised!

The shoes fit well and are cute. However, I bought them for their warmth. Unfortunately they do not hold up to their claim. The instant snow touches the boot, it gets cold. They also do not breathe, which causes your foot to get sweaty. Sweaty feet + poor insulation = very cold feet. The only reason I am not giving one star is because they are so cute.

I have had my boots for about two months, and i love how warm they are. But i wore them just for going from one place to another on clean sidewalks, and the sides of the boots are completely worn off, as if they had a thin spray painted coat that comes off from minimal wear. NOT IMPRESSED as they have a permanently dirty look now :(

They went back. The padding on the left foot was rubbing the back of my leg and it was very uncomfortable. Also, they are a bit bulky, not the best to drive while wearing.

I wanted these to be perfect! The picture and description was very convincing! If only the actual boot matched the description. I ordered a size 10 in BLACK/BLACK. The size of the foot was perfect, but the calf was too slim for me (I measured about 15.5" for my calf). The overall feel of these is stiff; obviously because they are brand new, but it overall felt like a rigid boot with not a lot of "give". The worst part of this purchase was the color, which was supposed to have been the best part -- black on black with no accent color, hard to find, right? YES. This BLACK/BLACK boot is more BLACK/GREY/GREEN. I'm not sure who at Northface QA/QM let this combination of black 'shades' into production while having a misleading picture on the website, yikes! I'm not a fan! Back to Columbia I suppose.

True to size, beautiful but super squeaky. Fit was nice but if you have large calfs already these boots will make them look much bigger.

I have been wearing them to try to keep warm. Which is not happening! I thought for sure with them being The North Face they would be warm but they are not! I have tried wearing 2 and 3 pairs of socks and still my feet are freezing to where it is painful!

These are pretty, comfy boots But I needed snow boots and they do not keep your feet warm, just your calves where the fluffy material is. To expensive to not be warm

Can't even stand on the snow for 30 mins. Feet frozen. Enough to take them off and put them in front of a heater. So disappointed by these. Especially for the price.

I got these as a Christmas gift since I was due for a new pair of winter boots. I loved the look of these and the rubber sole and I was counting on using them for around town during winter snow storms and for winter hiking/snowshoeing. When I first put them on they were great, snug and fit well. But the rubbing on the back of my heel started. The way these are designed, the break in the suede and the shell bends inward towards the back of my leg right at the ankle and rubs constantly. Standing in these boots you don't feel it but I couldn't walk more than five minutes and it would start to really hurt. I kept thinking it was just a break in phase, tried different socks, pants, leggings etc. and even loosening the tie on these boots but nothing helped. I no use them for taking the dog outside in the snow but I can't walk around in these very long. I wish I could return them but I'm afraid I have worn them too much. I really wanted to love these and was counting on a boot that would last me for another 5 winters but I that's not going to happen. Until next winter I guess.

These boots are gorgeous but I didn't buy them for the look alone. They are uncomfortable and I got a blister on my foot. They are awkward to walk in.

Extremely wide in the heal and ankle and tight in the foot. I probably would have returned these but a snow storm was on the way. Overall felt more comfortable after I wore them for a few days but I don't think these were worth the price.

The former model of this boot, Shellista Lace, rubs the skin off my heels. After wearing them for a 10 minute walk to my class in the snowy weather, I could barely walk myself. My Achilles tendon/heel was raw. it was so painful. Shoppers beware.

These boots are ugly These boots do not look like the photo These boots feel cheap These boots have rubbed a blister above my ankle through layers of socks, leggings, and pants After walking in 2 inches of slush and a half inch of water, these boots are slightly damp inside Going to return these boots Wore them 4 times. Each time worse than the one before
