Love the look and the feel of the boot. But after using the sizing chart I ordered a half size too big.

It's hard to find a comfortable stylish winter boot. This one seems to hit all the marks!

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend who loves them. They are tall and warm and have a rubber lower part which is ideal for winter. They lace all the way up and provide solid stability. They are stylish and go well for various occasions.

I love the boots. I have tried them on and they are a great fit. I haven't had a chance to wear them as of yet. I am ready for the winter. The boots are a present to myself.

I love them. Just a little bulky and it bends at the ankle but very warm and comfortable

Fits perfectly and looks great too. These two features are hard to find in one snow boot but this is the perfect one.

I just bought the Shellista tall boots today. I can't believe how comfortable they felt on my feet.. I would normally buy a size 9, but I found the 9 a little too big for me. They were out of 8 &1/2 ... So I ended up taking size 8... They just fit.. They were very comfortable w/ a regular pair of socks.. & judging by the thickness & extreme warmth of the boots, I doubt their would be any need for thicker socks.. These boots are sturdy enough to get me through the winter months & stylish enough to keep me looking good in the process... I can't wait to put them through the NYC winter test.

It's the most comfortable snow boots I've ever bought , I haven't tested it on heavy snow yet so I can't give it a five for the waterproof feature of it . But overall, it's stylish and comfortable and I expect and it looks like it will last for years . Price isn't bad either for the quality you get .

I bought for my wife she said its cute and can tell they will be warm in snow but we can't ignore the ankle area it appears sunk in no matter how we lace them this is a problem I will be sending these back. I also have a problem with the side heel north face logo it is not grey as pictured it is black as the boot itself.

A very stylish boot and super-comfortable -- I wear size 7 1/2 or 8 and found the 8 fit well (I wouldn't go down the half size.) Good grip on the bottom and easy to slip on and off. The only reason I wouldn't give this item a 5-star rating is that there is little to no insulation in the foot part of the boot - we haven't even started the cold part of a Canadian winter and I had to wear warm woolen socks to keep my feet warm. From the ankle up, it's great!

I really liked the way these looked--very cute! I'm also a very practical person, and I thought these would be great for every day wear during the winter (waterproof, comfy on my feet, warm). However, these were very stiff in the achilles/back of the ankle area and felt like I was wearing ski boots when I walked. When I stood still in them, they cut into the bottom of my calves. Maybe they loosen up after some wear, but I wasn't willing to take that chance on boots that cost over $100. They were also slightly too small (I wear an 11) and don't come in a bigger size. I really wanted them to work, but eventually decided I needed to return them.

I really wanted to love these boots, but they are so heavy and so bulky. No zipper, so it is difficult to get in and out of these boots. They feel too big and too wide, they are heavy to walk around in. Very disappointed as I did my research and made this investment, but unfortunately these boots are not for me. On the bright side: never had cold feet!

These boots are so cute and stylish. Love the blue color, the little fur detail and the height. But they are so hard to get off. They are so tall and fitted without any zipper so I have a very hard time taking them off. I've had muscle cramping while trying because of having to point my toes hard to get the boots off. Such a bummer.

Loved the height of the boot, comfort, fur.....my issue is with the way the boot looks with the lacing when you walk. it bends and widens. Not the boots fault, it's just me I suppose. I have to choose a boot with a side zipper along with the lace up or stay clear of the lace up boots!!!! wanted these to work. going to try the Sorel's tall. Soooo thankful that Zappos is so wonderful and understanding of my fickle ways.....

Nice enough look for snow boots. The seem where the rubber part and leather part comes together near the laces is ridiculously thick. It dug into my foot. I ordered half a size larger than what I normally get and they still felt way too tight. I tried loosening the laces, but it didn’t help. These were not for me.

The shoe size was the right fit, but my calves are muscular so it was uncomfortable to walk around in.

I put these boots on hold at Sport Chek and drove the hour yesterday to pick them up. I was so disappointed because I believed they were 17". I measured them at 13" from the ground. They felt super comfortable but too short. I wanted them to hike in deep snow and trek through the bush on walks with my dog.
I left them there and will continue my search for a tall (up to my knee) winter boot.

I wanted to love these but they were very uncomfortable at the ankle and the whole boot rubbed on my leg when I tried to walk. Also, I expected them to be stylish but they were just very bulky and not appealing. So sad since I was thinking about buying them for a while! I had to return them.

Wanted some stylish winter boots that could go from slush to the office. These almost fit the bill. Definitely cute, definitely warm and dry. Only problem is the bulk. Bulky around the ankles, and no amount of tightening and retightening the laces helps. The resulting feel is more rain boot than city boot, even some chafing when worn with thin socks. Second problem: can't really tell this until you've worn them a day or two, at which point North Face won't take them back. Wish they had Patagonia and other companies' policies of total customer satisfaction. Lesson learned. Will try to get a few years of use for these before going back on the hunt.

I really, really wanted to like these. I love my mid-height North Face boots, but wanted something to wear with tights. These are not it. Though they are comfy and fit really well, whatever that is that comes up from the heel is ridiculously uncomfortable, and I feel would only get worse with wear.

I bought these boots (or the previous model) back in 2013. I loved these boots, and still have them going on year 5. However, they are pretty wore out now and so I ordered another pair (just a new version). Pretty disappointed because they don't fit the same. The ankle part of the newer pair is very bulky and not comfortable.

I'm pretty disappointed in this boot. My previous North Face show boots both cracked, right across the toe, exposing the lining and making them completely unusable just as the weather here in Chicago hit -4 windchill. I went to the North Face store the next morning because the temperature is not predicted to rise for weeks. These are cute... I needed boots... Bought the cute boots.... And immediately regretted it as the temperature dipped in the evening. Walked two blocks in 1 degree weather and my toes were blocks of ice. My old boots were much much warmer, too bad they weren't more durable. The rubber on this pair is also much thinner and more flexible, a likely sacrifice of function for form. Should have gotten the silkats.

Beautiful boot, but they are uncomfortable on the back of my calf. I don't have big calves either.

These boots look great! Unfortunately they are a few sizes too small! Come on, larger women need boots too!
