Unfortunately these shoes did not hold up! They ripped out on both sides of the shoe.

I had previously owned and loved a pair of jungle mocs that were with me though several winters. I thought this seemed like a fabulous upgrade, what with the leather and the arctic grip, and was so excited to receive them. They were comfy, they were warm, they were safe in snow and ice; a dream! Sadly, though, I had them hardly a few months before the stitching started to come loose and the front strip of leather began to separate from the top. This happened in multiple spots along that edge and exposed my toesies to snow and cold, plus they just don't look nice anymore. They were lovely shoes, I just wish they had help up better.

Initially I loved these shoes. They are so comfortable. Then I noticed in tiny little print on the tag detail the Arctic Grip sole that they are not meant for indoor use and can harm your floors. After contacting Merrell to clarify they did confirm that these shoes should not be worn inside. Since I do not plan to leave my shoes at the door I will unfortunately be returning them. I wish this were more prevalent in the description as I want a shoe with a good grip, but I plan to wear them on days when there isn't ice on the ground. Amazing concept and great shoe as long as you know that they can damage your floors.

We've been having many icy days so on the recommendation of a friend I purchased these. I have a pair of well worn Merrell waterproof mocs in the same size which are comfy and warm. These are more attractive (the old ones faded from black to grey) and the grip feature appears to work well on ice. However, the fit was not perfect like it was with my other pair. The right shoe was tight around the top and the left was loose in general. I bought a heel grip for the left shoe and added a thin pad in the rear footbed to stop the slipping when I walked. I considered an exchange but needed them on the slippery days. In addition, they were not warm like my old ones, even with wool socks. If the ground is freezing, surely these should be warm!

I bought these shoes (or a various) in Feb. 2017 and have worn them during the winter, while walking my dog in the park. I love the shoes and find them to be very comfortable, sturdy, supportive and have great treads for both snow and mud. I have not been hard on these shoes nor have I worn them a whole lot, because I go away for part of the winter (and winter is the only season I'd wear them), so ....when I pulled them out this winter, I was surprised to see one of the soles had started peeling off the shoe, near the toe. I don't want to buy a new pair, because I can't afford another pair now and believe I can get another winter I have out of these, if repaired. For this price, I would have hoped they'd last a lot longer than they did, especially when I've only worn them for a couple months total (and only for an hour or less each time). Merrell, should these have last longer and is a specific type of glue, I can buy to repair them?

These shoes were too wide for my narrow foot, so I am returning them. I also just wish Merrell would design a slip on with Arctic grip soles for women that doesn't look exactly like the men's shoes and has a little more something or another in the design.

Bought this model rather than the usual fluffy winter Merrill slip ons that I get every winter. Coldpak not as warm but have really good stiff soles and ankle support. The coldpaks are not ice proof. They slip on the Maine ice just like other shoes do. Your advertising of them is inaccurate unless people are standing on ice with glue on fake ice?

I really like the traction on ice and snow but they really hurt my feet. I thought that after I wore them a few times it would get better but after about an hour I have to take them off. The size seems correct but just too stiff and uncomfortable.

I bought this shoes because it said Cold Ice and Winter shoes. When I tried it I feel its too small . But when I walk my foot keep slide out of the shoes. So I wear it the next day at work. My little pinky is sore so bad right now. I think the shoes is too narrow on the medium .

Mine too squeak when I walk and have a funny feeling to them. Al ost like the footbed isn't attached to the sole. Very warm, but the squeaking freaks me out.

I love the shoe, the fit and function, but they squeak! I've tried different insoles, different socks, nothing changes the squeak. Could they be defective?

I had to go up a half-size in order to have more room in the toe box. But that made for slippage in the heel. I like the quality of Merrell shoes but please, Merrell, how about WIDE widths?

Not like my old Merrell. too tight around leg and I'm small frame, material not warm and soft. Treads same as old, but overrated as new tech.

Heel is so soft that even using a shoe horn the material collapses.

I have had great experience with Merrell in the past however, returned this pair as they are now more narrow and not as well made. My last pair did not last as long either.

I have worn various Merrell shoes/mocs for many years. I love them and I keep getting them. I had this shoe previously and LOVE the grippy soles for ice. I purchased a pair this year in the same size I always get and within a month or two the seam on the top of one shoe started to show issues. Within a few months seams on several locations were no longer solid and certainly no longer waterproof. I was definitely disappointed that these didn't even get me through all of winter.

I would love to give these attractive shoes a higher rating, but i was very disappointed that what is advertised as a Wide Width was not wide at all. I had a difficult time even getting my foot into the shoe, so needless to say it was way too narrow for me. I was really hoping this would work for me, as i found the shoes to be good-looking, and to look well-made. Perhaps Merrell should consider have an Extra Wide option, as many older people (like me) have issues that require a wide shoe.

I love this shoe. But the quality has been so very disappointing. I'd love to buy another pair but fear that won't last the year. There were waterproof for about a week. I wish Merrell would improve the quality on this style.

fit and size seems fine although I haven't had opportunity to wear out hiking yet. However, I am disappointed with the Vibram sole. I have never liked Vibram soles - stiff and not flexible at all - not sure I will keep these shoes. I was expecting a sole similar to the Jungle Moc which I am now on my 5th pair because they are comfortable and flexible. I have other expensive hiking boots languishing in my garage with Vibram soles for this very reason. I haven't worn them for years for that reason. Also, do not like the lining of cushion like material - that does make them tighter fitting as well - if I need more warmth I will choose a heavier sock - I feel like I have to stuff my foot into the shoe even with a lightweight sock. Disappointed and am struggling with this decision. Why aren't shoe makers using leather anymore? This is nonsense - everybody eats meat and leaves hides to put to good use! Such shortsighted stupid choices. Stop making shoes out of HOT FOSSIL FUEL MATERIALS - IT IS NOT COMFORTABLE - TOO HOT AND INFLEXIBLE.

I bought these a year ago. Now there are big rips in both shoes. I've worn Merrels for years and they have lasted for years. Not these.

(1)Nice quality shoe like all Merrell. (2)Ordered wide. Shoe came with "winter lining". Even in wide width it's obvious I'm not going to be able to wear winter weight socks with it. (3)Tried to return after 30 days but less than 60 days. Would not return. Not happy.

Too short depth wise if you have a high arch. Completely restricted metatarsal movement. Very disappointed after ordering up a half a size and wide width option. They were not very attractive either. Not sure why Merrell can’t make a sufficient winter moccasin for women. I really needed this for a series of snowstorms hitting Texas. We don’t usually have extreme winters, so there’s no need to buy a big pair of snow boots. Just needed something waterproof and warm that could be slipped on in a hurry. I would avoid buying this so that Merrell gets the message that this is a dud.
