The main reason I chose this model was the Vibram sole. From past experience I have found that the Vibrant sole is more durable than any sole out there. Also I like the flat heel section better than the Merrell rounded one as I feel it is easier to turn my ankle with that heel design. My wife has a pair although not the adventure model which has the Merrell rounded heel and she loves them. I do think that the Merrell sole is a softer material and probably provides better traction over all surfaces. I have found over the years that any Merrell shoe is made of quality materials and well worth the money spent.

I wore out a previous version of this shoe. The previous version was a little loose, but otherwise perfect. This version fits much more snugly, which is great for hiking. I definitely prefer the fit of this version over the previous version. My only complaint is the back of the shoe doesn't have enough support, so I have to bend over and pull the rear part of the quarter back to slip the shoe on. The previous version had much more support in the back, so I could slip the shoe on like a slipper, standing up. If Merrell combined the fit of this version with the rear support of the previous version, this would be a perfect shoe.

Once a few years ago I tried Merril Mocs and they didn't last. Decided to try again. So far I'm pleased. They appear to be well built, and very comfortable, and decent looks. They still need to stand the test of time, so I won't go higher than 4 stars, but I'm happy.

The toe started peeling away after a week of wearing in an outdoor and light workshop environment. Kinda disappointed but understand that the shoes probably arn't made to be be hiked in and exposed to sparks created by welding.

Have been wearing 8 for years I jungle moc Tried these for price but had to change to 8.5 Very comfortable and better for trail and days with need for traction

Great traction. Way too loose of a fit compared to the jungle mocs. Jungle mocs fit like a glove. Expected the same.

Not the same soft comfortable insole and outer soles as my previous Merrill's.

I bought these shoes in Feb 22 and I wear them almost every day to work. They are very comfortable but the shoes are starting to fall apart (inside / back by the heal) after only 10 months. I've had other Merrell and higher end brand shoes and they usually last at least 2-3 years. I would expect the same life out of these shoes for the price.

Great shoe, but sometime in the past two years Merrell must have upsized by half a size. My old Merrell Moab Adventure Moc fits just right at 9.5, but this one feels like it's at least half a size too big. Unfortunately, it's probably too beaten up to ask for a refund. Great shoe, but order down half a size.

This is a decent shoe it's comfortable, it's waterproof, it's durable. I've had them a year and they both squeak and groan with every step I take. I walked through the office and you can hear me coming from a block away. I will not wear them anymore. To bad big waste of money.

I have multiple pairs of Moab Jungle Mocs, this pair was too loose in the back, even with socks. My foot kept sliding up and down. All are the same size, 14.

It's a good shoe. Need to go do something outside? Slip them on and go. Only reason why I did't rate them as a "5" is due to the width. They are wide which is how I ordered. But they are REALLY wide and unless I'm wearing a super thick sock my feet sloshes around in them.

The shoes look great and are rather comfortable when they fit. Unfortunately the size 12 is now a half size larger than the previous size 12 that I bought two years ago so I will have to return them. The shoe holds up well. Only the top quarter inch of the tread on the toe came unglued after two years. The leather is good quality but wrinkles and scratches are rather noticable.

Yes the heel on this shoe could be much stronger. I've had similar style Merrells that had stronger backs on them, so I was disappointed I couldn't slip in them as fast (or as careless) as I could with the other slip-ins. Also, these shoes were very tight on me, so I could have bought a half size larger and been fine. I ended up returning these and bought another style altogether. I love my Merrells, but these disappointed me a bit.

A well made shoe but a bit on the bulky side. Ok but the regular jungle moc does the same thing and is way more comfortable.

Was not as wide as I needed. The opening was smaller than my last Merrill.

This could be a great shoe with a little reinforcement. I have worn jungle mocs for years and love them, but the last pair I got was a little snug, so I tried the Moab. It fits much better on a wide foot, the best fit of any Merrell shoe thus far. With back pain and arthritis , I have to have a slip on shoe and this one was great for a week or so. Then the back of the heal crushed, so I can no longer slip my foot into it without a shoe horn. It crushes so badly you cannot slip a finger behind your heal and straighten it, have to remove the shoe and put it on with a shoe horn. If the heal were reinforced like on the jungle moc it would be perfect, but I can't see ever buying again if one has to use this much effort to be able to get it on.
