Fit / Size was good, as expected from Merrell. This shoe looks like it will last for years... Good construction. I've worn Merrells for the past 5 years and have been very satisfied with the product.

Nice shoe, wrong fit for me

I was really needing a shoe of this type to use as everyday wear as I work on large concrete/asphalt carlots taking pictures. I wear a 9.5 and have a B width, so it was with great interest that a few reviews of this shoe on Zappos mentioned that it ran a bit narrow. Additionally, many reviews mentioned that the shoe ran slightly short and advised to order a 1/2 size up. I ordered a 10 in black and hoped for the best. Upon receipt, they were not as narrow as I had hoped, BUT, the heel did not slip as is usually the case with my narrow feet. The toe box feels very wide and the leather folds over itself a bit as I walk. Wide in the front and no heel slip...I have decided to keep them and find a good innersole to fill the toebox area. Any suggestions from you are greatly appreciated. They are comfortable out of the box, seem to take some breaking in for long 4-5 mile walks but so far so good. Thank you for all the Zappos reviewers out there - you really make a difference!

After having these shoes for a year, I can definitely give them a good review. The size was true (compared to my NIKE shoes) and the big reason I wanted these shoes was that the toebox was not mesh material but leather. The shoes have worn well, seem to handle water fine but I have not ever had the soaked. They look nice enough to wear to a casual event but dressier than athletic shoes. I'm more than happy with my purchase.

I am a female with wide feet, and have trouble finding women's shoes that fit. I used the size chart and the shoes fit just right lengthwise but were still tight at my pinky toe. Ordered a half size up and the width was perfect. They are super comfortable. There was a little heel slip because my heels aren't wide, but with thicker socks that seems to go away.

I little shorter and narrower than the typical Merrell I have owned in this size. Like the shoe okay, but Boulder is more greenish than tan/brown. Will exchange for a larger size and different color.

I've been trying for a couple of years to find a replacement for my beloved Moab Rovers, which have been discontinued. These are the closest thing in terms of fit, comfort and style. Sturdy enough for serious walking, light enough for casual wear. Been wearing them almost daily for about a month and am very pleased. (Please, Merrell, don't discontinue these!)
