Very nice shoe except that the stitching of the seams on the inside is way too thick and abrasive. Started on a blister after 1/2 an hour round the house. Unlike Merrell to be so dumb.

I could use more room for my toes - they go right up to the toe of the shoe. Width feels fine for my size. Laces are too short but not a big deal.

I was disappointed with the fit (too short for me) in a Size 12. There is no Size 12.5 to exchange for. I am looking for a comfortable urban walker to wear during an upcoming Fall trip to France where the weather could be both cool and raining. This Moab Adventure Lace Waterproof was a good choice except it is sized too short, too small for me. The materials and construction look great. So, if you can order a half size larger than your normal Merrell size, I would recommend you give these a try.

With wide feet, the Moab series has been a godsend for me -- very hard to find comfortable W sizes in outdoor shoes. I have a ~3 yo pair of Adventure WP in brown, and bought another in black. There are several changes for the worse, sadly: -- tongue no longer gussetted, which is a fundamental flaw in a "waterproof" shoe!!! -- whole height of shoe significantly reduced, a much 'sleeker' profile. Tonuge does not go up nearly as far. More exposure to elements is probably not what's wanted in a WP shoe, and overall my ankle feels less contained and controlled -- softer in the heel/ankle area. No longer has a double leather guard up the back, and the whole opening area has bigger area of the soft mesh (even softer than before) and less leather. Feels almost squishy-wobbly when putting on -- no longer metal grommet lace holes -- double stitching along leather seams now only single stitched or glued, and other small reinforcing bits gone. Tongue all mesh, not leather anymore Bottom line: same product name and SKU, but less sturdy, less supportive, and likely to be less waterproof. Disappointing.

Order the shoe sizes that you normally fit your foot. Do not take the advise to order one size up. But be advised, if ordering the wide size, it is hugely wide. Almost clown size wide.

I found these shoes to have a very strange support. The arch was lacking, and the heel felt very weird. I simply couldn't wear them for anything beyond a short walk.

I love Merrell shoes and have worn them for many years. I usually don't even consider other brands. I want to love these shoes because they were the closest I could find to my last pair which lasted many years. After after having worn them for a few weeks now I don't love them so much. They are sized as expected and are comfortable but I have come to know them as my "squeaky" shoes. Every step is squeaky. I thought this would go away after a break-in period, but people can hear me coming a long way off. Really annoying. Other than that I have been pleased with the shoe.

I purchased these as a replacement for my beloved Moab Rover walkers, which have been discontinued. Despite an apparently perfect sole to sole match, these felt a little short in the toe. This is surprising, as I have other Merrell hiking boots that are a perfect fit. Also, the "dark earth" style (again compared to the Rovers) was rather monochrome and boring. I have returned them. I hope Merrell will resume production of the Rovers.

I love the brown moab adventure series. I have bought multiple pairs of the mid and lower styles. But this recent pair it's different from years before. It so doesn't fit the same, after the first day or going from an old pair to a new pair both feet started blistering. And I hoped this went away but after a month it still hasn't... The right sole squeaks when you put any pressure on it at all. And the waterproofing isn't what it was either. If I even walk through some tall grass after it rains my feet get wet. So I switched back to my old pair...

The Moab adventure is a high quality shoe that seems very durable, has a great sole, and grips nicely. The leather is soft and waterproof. My only issue is the fit. After wearing the shoes for more than 15 minutes, the outside bottom of my feet start to hurt, badly sometimes The arch on the outsides of the shoe is very high. I am hoping the shoes will break in and the pain will go away. 10 days of wearing so far has shown no improvement yet. If the shoe didn't fit uncomfortably I would give it 5 stars.

I agree with the general sentiment expressed in another review. The style of these shoes is hardly adventurous (despite the "Adventure" in the shoe name). They seem like they'd be good work shoes, if one needs a waterproof shoe to go with, say, business casual clothing, but they don't look like a hiking shoe

The issue with this shoe is the style, it looked great in the pictures; but when I took it out of the box it my first impression was the top looked like the medical support shoes with the Velcro straps. Besides that it was a great shoe; but the style wasn't for me.

It is a good shoe, but it was shipped with left and right in different sizes. Same size on the labels, but different size shoes

I've had these shoes for about two weeks now and they are comfortable and waterproof but the rubber tips look like they might have separated from the shoe a bit and if this continues I fought I can get more then a few months out of them. My last pair of Merrels lasted over a year.

They are just ok. the rubber sole is already pealing away from the upper. The mid-sole is on the stiff side with more heel drop then i like. The laces don't like to stay tied. The keep water out and heat in so better for cool weather.

I have been wearing moabs for at least 15 years and love them. However this newer shoe did not fit like the others. They seem a little bigger than normal and especially in the heel and are not as comfortable as my other moabs

I have had a pair of Moab Adventurers for four years and really liked them. This replacement pair is not real leather. The shoes make my feet hot. It is just another example of a good product being cheapened to save a dime. I will look elsewhere for shoes rather than being a loyal customer.

I'm returning these shoes because the arch support is improperly positioned. I have an older pair of these, and the arch support is perfect. I assumed in this newer version it would be the same if not highly similar. I was wrong. Rather than positioning the arch support in the arch, it is move back towards the heel, so the feeling is of a big lump at the front of the heel, rather than under the arch. Oh well..............

Good looking shoe. Have worn and enjoyed other Moabs; ordered 12 regular, too narrow, ordered 12 wide, too roomy. Returned both. Oh, well. BTW, the 12 wide was kind of klunky looking.

These shoes are listed as being waterproof but are far from it. While I don't expect them to keep my feet dry if I choose to jump into a pool, they leave my toes wet just walking in wet grass, even with wool socks. They are comfortable, and fit nicely, but waterproof?! Not by any stretch of the imagination.

If being waterproof is important. I purchased these in November, worn them three times on wet/muddy trails, each time when the mud/water went above the first eyelet my socks got wet, this is not waterproof. I suspect the water is coming in around the lounge based on where I feel the water seeping through. This is the first time I've been disappointed in a Merrell product.

As soon as I tried to put the shoe on I knew the fit was off. Too small in the length and too narrow. I usually wear a 12M and this shoe was uncomfortable immediately. Couldn't justify trying a larger size and width (never had to try a wide show before in any shoe or sneaker). Tried Allbirds shoes in a size 13, no half sized, and they were very comfortable. They have a water repellent shoe and a regular shoe that are super comfortable with no break-in required.
I'd also recommend:
Allbirds
