While I originally wanted and ordered the MOAB II, I found the arches to be placed closer to the heel than they should be and were very uncomfortable. I returned those and got the original MOAB. Oh my goodness, they fit perfectly and are extremely comfortable out of the box. After a few days of wearing them, the slight stiffness in the boot was gone. I absolutely love them!

I have loved my original Moabs for years, so when I saw the Moab Adventure Mids, which are basically a remake of the original Moab Mids, I knew I had to have them. I purchased the black ones for my work, as my work shoes are required to be black. I stand and walk 8 to 10 hours a day at work and normally by halfway through the day my calves, hips and lower back are aching. I just finished my first day working in these boots and if I hadn't driven to work I might have walked the 6 miles home. No aches anywhere whatsoever. I can't put into words how much I love my Merrell Moabs. Excellent arch support, insane levels of grip and control whether you are on concrete, tile or the trail. I plan on buying a set of dark earth-colored ones soon.

I bought these as a gift for my husband and he loves them. He walks about 6 miles a day as part of his commute in the PNW. These boots keep his feet dry during Seattle rainy days and provide him great foot and ankle support on uneven and sometimes slippery ground. Great job Merrell.

I had to switch from another brand that I had been using for approx. 10 yrs. and I am so glad that I did. These hikers are completely waterproof, light weight and less expensive than the ones that I had been using. Right out of the box they felt great and they did not need "breaking in". The sizing is true and maybe even a little bit larger than expected. No doubt in my mind that when I need a new pair they will be Merrell's.

This is not my first pair of Merrells, by a long shot. I've been wearing these bad boys since the late '80s, but this is the first time I've ever ordered a pair online without trying them on in a store I trust this brand that much. Perfect fit, snug and comfortable too. I've been wearing them around the house like a pair of slippers. It's driving my wife nuts. Can't wait until I'm sloggin' up some Adirondack mountain.

These boots are not a heavy duty hiking boot, but are what you would expect in a quality boot for the price paid. As most of you know that have wide feet as I do, it is becoming almost impossible to find a shoe of quality that fits our wide feet. These are wide enough and long enough! Wow, I said! Right out of the box the comfort and fit were more than I expected. Let Merrell lead the way to shoe sizes that are accurate, as they should be. Thank you to Merrell for offering wide sizes, number 1, and for offering those wide sizes exactly as they should be, the way sizes used to be with most shoes.

I actually came home for lunch and my Moab Mids were on the steps so I switched to them during lunch. They were perfect right out of the box! I purchased a black pair for work and I will soon be purchasing a brown pair for general use. Great shoe!

These boots provide a lot of support and are throughly waterproof. The fit my wide foot very well, and required very little break-in.

I do lawn maintenance for a living. I have worn this boot, or a version of it, for several years. Boot is waterproof to keep you covered for rain/dew. Weight of this shoe is perfect for working in/walking in all day. Highly recommend this boot for the folks who work outside.

The boot is lighter in weight than I expected, really good. Great fit. Quick shipping. Really pleased so far.

The boot was wider than expected, not larger. I usually need a wide width shoe, but not in this boot. I had to return and purchase a medium width. They fit great and felt broken in the first time worn.

I have had a number of Merrell shoes over the years. This MOAB style is always comfortable and requires no breaking in.
