It's cute on, but not comfortable for my training both on the sole and on the sides. The heel is low, the midfoot is raised, and then the front is low again. This shoe would be great for someone with a narrower foot than I have - I have a wide ball and a narrow heel. Back to Fivefingers mens for me. ...

I love these shoes--I now have seven pairs, each a different color. What I don't like is how the fabric pulls away from the rubber in places. It's not awful for me, because I alternate between them. But, if you wear the same pair each day, the fabric will pull away pretty quickly (as other customers have said). My all-black pair and orange pair have begun to pull away, because I wear them often. One thing I really like that Merrill did was to make the soles a little thicker. My first pair from 3 years ago has such a thin sole, that it's hard for me to wear that pair when I walk the dog on the pavement. However, all the newer models are just fine. I don't jog or run. I walk the dog on city streets, and I love these shoes for long pants or shorts!

These sneakers are exactly what I was looking for. I like to work out barefoot, but during more intense workouts I needed just a little more protection for my feet. These sneakers fit the bill, just enough coverage to protect my feet but not restrictive, they are like a heavy duty sock with rubber. I wear an 8 in Merrell, I wear an 8 in their hiking boots, an 8 in their Winter boots, an 8 in their sneakers. I can say with certainty that these run small. I have to go with the 8.5’s. The 8’s are too short even on my smaller foot. Order up.

I loved these shoes but the more I used them, the more the lack of support caused issues. Lots of calf pain and plantar fasciitis. They have worn a little fast near the big toe and if you use them barefoot as designed they can develop an... aroma.

This shoe is far more attractive than the black Trail Glove 4. The 4 has a 2-tone sole which "shouts" ugly to me.

Nice looking shoe. I love the minimalist style and feel. They were, however, huge! I have long narrow feet. Ideally, I’d wear a shoe with the width of a 9 and the length of a 10. These shoes were way too roomy in the toe box. They felt wide and long. The color combo was attractive, but overall, for a shoe, a little too earthy to be up to date. I’d love to see bright reds, lime greens, royals, yellows, orange...

I really wanted these to work for me, but unfortunately they just weren't wide enough in the toe box. I wouldn't expect to have this issue with a "barefoot" shoe, as having enough space for your toes to splay is one of the keys to a natural running experience. I will say I have somewhat of a wide foot, and do have a bunion, so for someone with a narrow-average foot, this might not be a problem. Aside from that issue, they felt super comfy, and were really cute. I loved the stretchy shoelaces too!

Got these to replace the discontinued Road Glove.
They are even more comfortable than those, the toe box is nice and wide and roomy. I'm not crazy about the arch area, I didn't expect support but I just feel like it forms to my foot almost too much, like a sock.
My main concern is durability, these are super thin, I'm hoping they hold up as well as my Vibram Five fingers. The sole is very reminiscent of their thinner options. I am a little concerned about protection should I accidentally step on something sharp, but other than that I love them.
Nice color, breathable.
I usually wear an 8 in Merrell and these are true to size, the part of the sole that covers the toe could be a concern, I'd order a half size up if you're not sure.
If you're looking for minimalist, and comfy, this is the shoe!! I will probably buy again

First the good stuff. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Truly, they feel perfect on my feet and have spoiled me for all other shoes. They do seem to run small. I had to order a half size larger than usual. These are NOT shoes for people who say they want support. There is no support. none- zero. And that's the point. They are shoes meant to make you feel like you're barefoot, with just enough of a sole to protect the foot from sharp objects. And now for the bad thing about them. They appear to be poorly made. I've had them for a week and already there is stitching coming undone which attaches the tongue to the shoe. Bummer. I might have to try Vivo Barefoot next time.

I ordered multiple minimalist shoes, including the vapor glove 4 (which I am keeping). In comparison to the glove 4, these shoes had better styling, but were slightly less flexible and, for a pronator with bunions, these felt less like slippers and more like shoes.
These could be perfect for someone, but, for use on the treadmill, where I want a barefoot experience without going truly barefoot, the vapor glove 4s work better for my feet.

Very comfortable. Only downside it doesn’t wear well. Within 30 days of purchase material started to tear. See photos.

Color is cute, but fabric is a bit rough on the top of the feet (other reviewers mentioned that too) and compared to the Merrell Trail Glove 4, this style looked more like a "sock" and the trail glove looked more like a "shoe" which is what I wanted. .

I recently switched to barefoot shoes. I started with Xero Shoes Z-Trek sport sandal. My feet have since splayed out and are wider and stronger. I love it! I need a closed toe, zero drop shoe and tried these. They feel just a little too narrow. I think once you get used to free feet and toes, it’s easy to feel their freedom is infringed upon. The rubber bumper feels odd and restricting over my big toe. I think there’s arch support which I don’t want. Beautiful aqua color though. They don’t look half bad compared to other barefoot shoes. They felt true to size. I got a size 9 and they were snug all around with bare feet, the way they’re supposed to be. Anyways, they went back.

I have wide feet. Like others have mentioned, these have a wide toe box, which felt great. But the rubber sole is VERY narrow relative to the actual width of the shoe. It was like the sides of my feet were always precariously near the edge of the sole, and it was causing my foot to bow inward on every step. I wore them around the house and was getting aches, which I would expect from a high heel, but not an athletic shoe. It’s a huge shame because the blue/turquoise color is amazing.

OMG, these shoes are so narrow in the back half. The toe part is very wide, noticeably wide when looking at the shoe from above. You can sort of see it in the photos from above. They felt like I was walking on no cushioning at all, but almost barefooted. I even ordered a half size larger due to other reviews. I do not understand why these shoe companies are making shoes with such weird shapes. Not like a human foot. Sort of, close to, clown shoes, but not exactly.

I owned Merrell Pace Gloves previously. Truly glove-like fit with great arch support; so great for feeling the floor so you can get proper body alignment for running and strength training. My feet grew a half size during pregnancy, so I wanted to replace. These felt huge in the ball of the foot (wide - and I can sometimes wear a wide width), and the arch support was not up to the old standard. So sad to return these. I will be trying to find the new Pace Glove as Zappos doesn't currently have them.

I feel like this would be an excellent shoe for someone that supinates. I am ok with a neutral shoe I think, but this one really made me feel like I was over-pronating.

I bought these to replace my similar, vibram-soled Merrell "sneakers", which lasted for over five years including several hefty hikes and trail-runs -- but they finally gave up the ghost, and these "Vapor Gloves" were the closest replacement I could find.
They're a lot uglier, for one thing -- the old ones had leather uppers that felt like slippers and made them look stealthily like street-shoes, but the new ones have a weird patterned fabric that somehow manages to be bland while also clashing with everything. Not a fan.
These also lasted about five seconds compared to the other pair. I won't fault them for the first hole they developed (after only about a week of wear), because I did accidentally kick a piece of metal -- though I don't feel like it would have ripped a hole in the other ones. I kept wearing these (I'm the type who can ignore a hole in the side), but only another 2 months later, they've started to develop stretch-marks and "pre-holes" in several places, nowhere near the first hole, on both shoes, where the sole meets the weird-fabric sides. (The uppers material is really strange -- like flimsy carbon-fiber? And it seems to be pulling apart and disintegrating like you'd expect old corduroy to.)
I will give these, they are as comfortable as the old ones -- maybe even a tiny bit more, because they have a lovely spongy tongue -- they feel great. They fit great. But at this not-insignificant price, they're about 1% as sturdy as the previous version, which was the same price and looked a zillion times nicer. I now need new sneakers again, just 3 months after replacing my five-year-old pair of Merrells, and I will definitely NOT be throwing away money on another one of these.

Love! When buying I expected to end up returning. Nope! My feet are in need of surgery and these are 100x more comfortable than the Vans, Toms and Nike I’ve been wearing. Also more comfortable than going bare feet. I plan on buying a second pair for work. I’ve been told Merrell is amazing and my friends were right. 10/10 will buy these shoes again.

I usually wear a 9-91/2 narrow shoe. I got these because the style appealed to me. I think they are really intended for runners who like a minimal sneaker. I like them because they are comfortable. I confess that I put an insole inside that helps me with a Morton’s neuroma. At first, it just took away the pain when I wore the shoes; but now I am rarely uncomfortable even in other shoes. Maybe the real advantage for me is the fact that there is very little inside which allows me to fit in the insole that is perfect for me. I now have my third pair.

Fit was perfect. Am returning because Zappos was out of my size, an 11, so ordered 10.5. So was too small for me. I love this shoe, and this would have been my third pair. :)
