I have purchased Merrell brand shoes exclusively for several years, because of the comfort. I don't need to break in new shoes. Unfortunately, this particular shoe was too small. I gave the pair to my daughter, and she likes them as they fit her. My favorite shoe store handling Merrells closed down and I have been forced to purchase Merrells online, without the advantage of trying the shoes on before purchase. None of the shoe stores I frequent have Merrells in size 11 women's. So, I was disappointed in this purchase, and ended up ordering a men's size 10.5 which fit fine.

My only problem is the shoe is narrow at the ball of my foot, I kept the shoe in hopes it will stretch a little as I love it otherwise, but I wish I had ordered wide

These shoes are lightweight and flexible. I really want to love them, but they're not wide enough in the toe area for my wide feet. Not freakishly wide, but not narrow since I spend so much time barefoot. I'd love a barefoot/minimalist shoe that allows my toes to spread out on impact rather than holding them tightly together. These are causing irritation from toes rubbing each other. I'd suggest getting a larger size than usual if you've got wide feet. You could also measure your foot width and ask Merrell to provide shoe width. I should have done that!

I would really love to give this item five stars, but because of the durability I had to only give three. I fell in love with these shoes upon first trying them on and bought three different colors. I am not rough on them, but one pair the fabric always looked thin and with each wear got worse. The other pair that I have also been wearing does not seem as bad; fingers crossed they don't do the same thing. The third pair has not been worn yet because I wanted to see how the others hold up first. I certainly expected these shoes would last longer especially with a name like Merrell; hoping the one pair is just a fluke. The only other problem is that they smell really bad and I'm afraid to wash in fear they will fall apart.

I really enjoy these shoes! I had chosen Merrell vapor gloves over the other minimalist/barefoot light weight shoes I was looking at because the reviews were great and everyone loved them. I have worn these shoes to workout in the gym since January when I had purchased them and they finally gave out. The tongue on the left shoe completely detached from the stitching towards the toes and of course there is some wear and tear (almost holes) where the shoe bends on the sides. Sure some sewing can fix the tongue but I was hoping I wouldn't have to maintain these shoes for simple movements after only 4 months.

I almost really love this shoe! I've bought three pairs of them but the latest pair I just got frustrated that I have to purchase a new pair after only 6-8 months of moderate (not even every day) use just as a walking shoe (I don't run in them). The fabric on the sides of the shoe is simply disintegrating, and did so with my last two pairs a little too early on in their lives as well. Finally I've had it with spending so much money on a shoe that is made with cheap enough material to literally start shredding after 6 months.

These shoes are very comfortable and I generally love everything about them however, there is a major downfall to these shoes and that is the durability of them. I had them for a few months when they started coming apart, the got massive holes on the mesh sides and the material for very thin.

I am new to Merrell after wearing another brand for 20 years. After a few weeks, the Vapor Glove 2 began to tear at the big toe on both shoes where the mesh connects to the rubber. Hoping Version 3 would have fixed that problem, I bought Version 3. However, my new pair (only a few weeks old) are also beginning to come apart at the exact same location. I also wish the heel had better shock absorption. On the positive, the shoes fit well and hug my foot. I feel I walk better as my toes can spread out and I can feel the ground.

I had the Vapor Glove one and was madly in love with it. After a year and a half I had to say goodbye because the soles were getting holes in them (to be expected after such vigorous use). I ordered the Vapor Glove 2 with excitement. And while they are still the best shoe and only shoe I wear. I want the vapor glove 1 back for these reasons: 1) The fabric was more breatheable - which helped with smell and they were significantly cooler in temperature 2) The tab on the heel was helpful in putting on the shoe 3) The fabric on the vapor glove 2 has little fibers sticking through the mesh (similar to the pace that I own as well) 4) The vapor glove 2 ran .5 size smaller. I'm usually a 8.5 and was in the first edition - - had to go up to a 9 in the vapor glove 2. Overall though I will be ordering a pair of vapor glove 3's and while I hope they bring back the qualities of the vapor glove 1. . . . I more so hope that they continue to make this shoe because it's the best thing that's ever happened to my foot. I wear them 365 days a year. Even when the ground is frozen and it's a bit cold - - they're just so freaking comfortable!

I have been a massive fan of the Vapor gloves since they were released a few years ago. I have bought every version since and have been very happy. However, I bought the Vapor Glove 3 last June and they are now unwearable. Massive hole at the side of the shoe and holes in the soles. I know that as a barefoot shoe I know they do run down quicker than others but this is the first time they have lasted less than a year before showing significant wear and tear. I only use them to go to the gym or out for walks so not sure if the vibram sole is thinner but am definitely surprised with the fabric on the upper ripping as I thought the new higher guard would prevent that.

I'm an experienced distance runner and have been running in the vapor glove for years and never had any issues with the older versions. With this one after a few weeks I started having pain on the inside of my heels. Switched back to running in one of my worn out V2 pairs and they felt sooo much better, I truly couldn't believe it. The problem I think is that these seem to fit smaller/differently than previous versions. I ordered the same size I've been wearing for years (since these are hard to find in stores to try on) and they definitely feel shorter and narrower than the same size in previous versions and just don't fit the same. The sole feels thicker as well which I don' t like. I've ordered a half-size up and I really hope that will improve things. These have been my favourite running shoe for a long time and I was so happy to see that they were brought back, but my current V3s are too painful to continue running in.

I have been wearing Merrells for over 6 years and I fell in love with them. These are great running shoes because they are so light. I have owned multiple pairs of these and older versions that they no longer carry. However, every new pair that I get lasts shorter and shorter. I am now going through a pair of vapor glove 3 in less than three months. They start to get holes where the shoe is now glued together instead of sewn like they used to be on older versions. It breaks my heart to have to look at other companies, but I don't want to have to buy a new pair of shoes every 2-3 months because they fall apart.

I LOVED the Vapor Glove 2.....Soooo disappointed the Vapor Glove 3 got rid of the pull loop in the back of the heel. Not only did it look cool..it was useful..I use it overtime I pull my vapor glove 2 on. Also the 3 is made of a more plastic feeling material...the 2 feels more like material than plastic. PLEASE BRING BACK THE PULL LOOP BEHIND THE HEEL!
