These are truly 'barefoot' shoes. Very comfortable for wearing in the gym to do weights, treadmill, elliptocal. There's good support and moderate padding in the soles, but that's all I wanted. They feel good. I do long walks in good flipflops, and an hour on the treadmills in these shoes and they were great. I love Merrells. I bought 2 pair of - the black and red. But color warning: the red is a very light red and the black are more navy than black.

Okay, I buy Merrells a lot. But I usually order the regular hiking boots or sneakers, since I’m a hiker and power walker, not a runner. So, when I needed a new pair to put into my rotation, I tried these trail gloves. They are way funkier than I thought they be, with the shoes tongue attached to one side. BUT— they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet! They are light weight, airy with support, as well. That said, I have yet to use them outside of the house — and may not. I might just save them for indoor use. Bottom line: I love them!

If I go on 2-3 mile walks in the neighborhood, I wear good flip flops with arch support because I don't like real shoes. I have to wear real shoes in the gym, tho, so they have to be minimal with some arch support for me to be comfortable. These fit the bill perfectly. I wear Merrell flip flops, sandals, gym shoes. These are wide in the toe box, which I like. The toe box is very square so I'm going down a half size. These are cute shoes and aren't big and clunky like souped up running shoes. If you need/want a bunch of spring and padding for running, walking, whatever, these aren't for you. The black Trail Gloves are really more navy blue. I wanted black so I'm going to have to think about that.

I've been searching for a Merrell lightweight barefoot style show since my previous pairs have worn out, this shoe is perfect for me, high arch, walks 4-5 miles daily mostly pavement and horse trails & works well on both.

Zappos is my favorite shoe website. I order shoes from here all the time. A very friendly staff member helped me pick out these shoes as I told her I needed a pair of trail shoes. There are a lot of rocks where I live. Im first wearing them around the house. I picked the blue color. They fit perfectly. I ordered my true size 8. These are minimalistic shoes yet they provide excellent arch support.

Great sneaker close to zero drop. Comfortable for walking, climbing or hiking. Versatile. Well made, cute, and love the stretchy shoe strings. Great colors. Bought them in 3 colors after traveling to Europe with my first pair. They were lightweight and perfect for travel. Highly recommend.

I love the way these hold onto my foot. They are great for slightly wet conditions, too, not too permeable. My only complaint is I wear through the bottoms so fast.

Light weight and comfortable. My former shoes were heavy and I was ready to take them off ASAP!

Super love the way these hug my foot - comfy for working out or hanging out. I have thrown away all my traditions running shoes with thick soles for these. Buying another pair!

I love these shoes! I feel like they hug my feet and at the same time, give my toes so much room to move and breathe! They really are the closest thing I can wear to bare feet in public and still have some support for my high arches (and foot protection, of course).

I first wore them around the house to make sure the size was correct. Then I wore them for a walk outside and they felt very comfortable, and fit my feet quite well. I ordered these in both my regular shoe size and the next size up, since I tend to need a larger size for my tennis sneakers. The pair in my true shoe size fit so well, that I sent the other pair back. Since I won’t be running in these, just walking, I felt there was enough room for my toes. I highly recommend them!

This is one incredible shoe! I went with many reviewers who thought it ran a bit short and sized up from my normal 8 to an 8.5. No reason to. I am still deciding whether to get the 8 because it would be fine with a no-show sock. With the 8.5 I have to wear a slightly heavier sock - which actually might be nice when hiking in cooler temps. The toe box is roomy, but the overall feel of the shoe is very secure. There will be no break-in issues or blisters with this shoe. And so easy to pack!

I wear them every day. They allow my toes to splay!
