The jacket is great for winter, only drawback is the fur is not black, white, gray as pictured but has a lot of brown in it. The North Face logo on the chest is also not dark like it's pictured but instead is completely white.

I have the Gotham 2 from North Face and was looking to add a new color to my wardrobe this season...I visited a North Face store and tried on several of the new Gotham III jackets and was very dissapointed in the quality. They really feel cheap, and the addition of all the extra pockets makes them look cheap as well. The Gotham II has held up amazing over the last 2 years. It's still in perfect shape after heavy use. The new Gotham III has been a serious downgrade in quality- despite similar fill/material specifications- a side by side comparison REALLY shows how bad the quality of the new jacket is. It's very disappointing to see a company as great as The North Face cut corners to put out an inferior product. Take my word for it or don't...You'll see if you buy.

The north face logo is white. The picture shows black but this is not how it comes. Pretty disappointed.

I have been really disappointed by this jacket. I fell in love with it when I saw it in the store. It was so warm and I really like the look and feel of the material. It all seemed of very high quality. That is why it has been such a disappointment. The material HAS turned out to be of of high quality, but the zipper is TERRIBLE! Very cheap. I can't understand why they would invest in great material for a quality coat and then skimp so much on the zipper. It almost makes the coat useless. The zipper constantly peels away from the bottom following very basic activity or even bending over to pick something up. Its not even like the jacket is tight on me. In fact, because I have broad shoulders I have to buy a jacket that is a little on the large size for me. All in all, I'm at a loss as to what to do with the jacket. It's not very useful when I am out flooding the local rink at night and it is -30 degrees c, and the zipper peels apart leaving me exposed to the elements!

Feathers come out constantly. The jacket is warm, but it makes a mess. Low quality.

I bought this coat for my husband in the green color. The picture shows it is all one color but they sent me one that is color block. I called customer service to find out what happened and to arrange an exchange. I was informed that the coat posted online does not actually exist in that color. They don't make it at all and never have. This was several weeks ago and the coat that does not exist is still listed on the website. False advertising and inconvenient for me to have to call, and arrange a return.

Hate to leave this review I want to love the coat huge north face fan. Perfect coat, perfect color loved the vintage white it was just what I was looking for, ordered small and medium because their stuff seems to be getting gradually bigger. and a small fit me perfectly. Beautiful color, fit my body perfectly, very warm well-made. Except for, The removable first strip that attaches to the hood, snaps to the hood on one side, and then the other Side is not secured. So what this means is that when I would even put the hood on my head inside the house, the fur strip with immediately flop over my forehead all the way down almost to my mouth completely blinding me. Got small and medium so it was not a defective item it's a design flaw.

This jacket is so frustrating because it's a wonderful jacket that is very warm, but terribly ill-fitting. The jacket is made tall. Really tall. If you're 6'2" or taller, it may fit ok, but remember to size down. It was made for people with giant beer bellies. If you're under 6'2", you're going to be swimming in it, whether it's from the excessive length (both sleeve and torso) or the giant stomach area. If you size down, the circumference shrinks, but not the length so much. North Face, Hopefully you guys are reading this and will make some adjustments to next year's edition.

I bought this jacket specifically for the beige/camel color that is advertised on the website. When it arrived it was actually very green and NOT the beige/camel color I wanted. Very inconvenient to now have to go through the process of sending this jacket back. Disappointed in TNF for the misleading pictures/advertising.

The color of the jackets advertised on the site are completely different than the actual jacket color.for example ,online it looks beige/camel and in reality is green. The jacket feels lighter and thinner then the earlier generations and although it still is a nice jacket i feel the overall quality of the product went down. Also, the material cuffs are pretty wide and loose and i dont know how well this this jacket will do in cold weather.

This jacket is very low quality and oddly shaped in my opinion. I wear a size medium in nearly every brand, but the medium in this jacket is enormous. I exchanged for a size small, but should have just returned it for store credit. It seems like there is a full two size difference between the small and medium. If you have an athletic build, with a smaller waist, and broad chest/shoulders, this jacket will not fit you properly. The back/shoulders area is tight, while the waist is huge. The pockets are oddly placed, impossible to close with a gloved hand, and are not insulated enough to keep your bare hands warm. The zipper may be my single biggest complaint. It is tiny and cheap for a large parka. For comparison, the breast pocket zipper on my Canada Goose jacket is larger than the main zipper on the North Face. The outer layer of the jacket is very stiff, even after hours of wear. Needs to be softer to move with the body better. Overall, this jacket missed the mark in every aspect for me. I live in Minnesota and spend a good amount of time outdoors in the frigid weather.

I use this jacket as my main winter jacket, but after using it for only a couple of months (Feb and March 2016), holes appeared on the inner side of the jacket just next to the labels and the goose down insulation started escaping from the jacket.

I had to send my first one back. I am 6'4 205 lbs athletic/lengthy build and 22 years old. I am borderline L/XL for most products usually XL. I was going to order an XL until I saw the sizing help. No matter what body type I used it said Large was the size for me, so I gave it a shot and was extremely disappointed. Jacket was very tight everywhere, sleeves were short, body of it barely reached my pant line and the only clothing I was wearing under it was a T-shirt. Had to go through the hassle of sending it back and pay to ship it back which was a little annoying. However, the jacket did seem very nice and warm. I am not sure if I want to order another one from this site, if I do I will either go XL or even consider 2XL. I was amazed at how far this chart was off.

This jacket has a single compartment in the back, so that the fill will naturally fall to the bottom of the compartment. After washing, the down was completely bunched up at the bottom, leaving no fill in the mid to lower back area. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the warmth in the first place -- I think that's a combination of the lack of proper baffles in the back and perhaps not enough fill. I thought for $350 I was getting a quality jacket, but this is very poor design. I bought this jacket for its intended purpose -- just for around town, not skiing or hiking. If it gets into the teens, I'm cold -- even with a long sleeve shirt. Wearing it with only a tshirt is not practical at all -- I think thats due to the leaky wrist cuffs. I would absolutely not recommend this jacket for any outdoor sports below 25 degrees or so -- there's just no consistency with the fill, and the cuffs in the arms and at the waist seem to leak a lot of air. I'm very disappointed, so I'm going to look into this so called lifetime guarentee. I suspect its only for exchange or repair, not for a faulty design.
