We take trips to the mountain to enjoy the snow on winter..the only think it minght need is a wrist velcro to keep the snow from going in the wrist

Not happy the product made in China [should be USA made].
Zipper should be better made [metal; like zinc, or brass] for durability.
Should be 650 down fill, or better.
Fur trim should be "natural [Canada] coyote fur, [for a warmer color, better match to jacket colors].

I love the color and feel of this coat. It feels a bit small for a 3x coat. I have used Northface in the past and have had good fits. This coat although is very warm and takes wind very well. Sleeves are a little too small.

The jacket is styled perfect! Bombproof outside, smooth inside so it slides on and off. It looks sharp with jeans and with my work clothes. Best feature is the built in face guard! That was a surprise jem! Only two negatives: it's not as warm as it looks and the sleeves have this sweater cuff at the end which for a tall person are not so good. The length of the jacket is perfect, the sleeves I'd love another inch or two. Granted I'm 6'4".

Great, high quality design. I appreciate the fact you get a lifetime warranty with the parka, which is always reassuring. Definite buy if you live in the north part of the midwest like North Dakota where sub-zero temps are the norm during late winter. My only greivance is that the sleeves are short for a large. Im 6'1" 190 and a good build so its a bit snug, but again the sleeve length could have been 3-5 inches longer. Overall, awesome heavy coat, sick color design with camo, but needs to account for people with longer arms.

I love everything about this coat; however, I do wish the sleeves were one inch longer. I take a medium in everything all the time, and am a little disappointed that the sleeves seem a little short.

I live in Wisconsin and this my winter jacket. It covers me well and the insulated system keeps me feel warm through the winter. Though it's more than $300, but the it worth.

The coat is warm; however, the pockets are few. I was expecting side pockets on the face of the jacket to open from the side like the Mundro Men's jacket. I am petite so the hand pockets on the bottom are not that beneficial to me because I had to order a larger men's size to accomodate my bustiness. The extended sizes should be offered under women as well, not just the men; therefore, the coat won't feel so overbearing and bulky. If you decide to provide extended sizes for the plus size women, please let me know and I am willing to be a tester for you just as well. Thanks for listening.

I love this jacket. Very comfortable, kept me warm on a cool MN morning (30 degrees) giving out water at a run right next to the Mississippi. The one thing that was a deal breaker for me was the fixed hood. For some reason I thought the hood was removable but just the fur was removable. In the end I wound up with the Nuptse Heights because of my aversion to hoods.

Normally I can fit into North Face's XS pretty nicely (I don't like baggy fits and not wearing 5 layers anytime soon) but the Gotham in XS felt like I was wearing a large. Shame, because it felt solid and not too bulky

Had the Gotham HyVent for over 10 yrs and loved it. This DryVent is definitely not as heavy or warm. Im in NYC where is does get cold but not like New England cold, and this feels a bit flimsy. I guess it will do but not what I expected.

It's warm but first time wearing it in the snow and now it stinks really bad. Followed the washing instructions and nothing has helped. Not meant to get wet???

This coat is kind of warm, although not the warmest ever. It is very puffy though. It looks like it is too big on me because of the bulk. I'm used to a slimmer fit with my last coat.
When zipped all the way up, the zipper puckers at the neck and presses against my throat. I either have to unzip it and get cold or keep pushing it away from my neck with my chin.

I'm sorry for this review but I don't like this jacket. I didn't return it because I removed the tag. The jacket is really warm in cold weather and the external material is excellent BUT, the interior material stink horribly like a bird cage even when you just washed it and it takes a long time to get dry and to settle the stuffing material. I know that I made a bad purchase, maybe the "level warmth 2" would work better for me than this one.

The jacket runs size smaller what you would normally get and the pockets feels small also..the hood feels like it was cheaply put on but least it's a warm jacket

I love the jacket unfortunately I didn't like the cheap buttons holding the fur attachment. Middle button broke in half so I ended up returning it and buying a men's snowboard gortex diameter jacket instead. Jacket would have been perfect if it weren't for the cheap buttons breaking so easily.

Fit slightly larger, british khaki color may be more favorable for older adults and jacket is a bit tougher shell.
