North face certainly lives up to the hype, I would definitely recommend to a friend in need of warmth as this coat is super comfortable & stylish. I just love it!

I bought this product to protect my body from severe cold condition in northeast. I love this. I would buy such product again and agian.

I was on the hunt for a new winter jacket and came across this one. After watching video reviews and reading written ones I knew this was the one for me. The warmth provided by it is beyond belief, my first use I only wore a t-shirt and was super warm. I have not been abley to test the waterproof feature yet, but based on the feeling of the material I know I won't have any issues. The hood provides a lot of warmth and prevents the wind chilling my face. It has an inner pocket, two chest pockets and two hand pockets. They are all easily accessible and provide the storage I need. I received this jacket as a present and I know it is pricey and I am beyond thankful for it, but I don't plan on buying another jacket for many years to come.

I am glad I went to the NF store in NYC to try on the jackets. From the reviews, everyone says it is "True to Size", however, I strongly disagree - these are definitely one size larger. The Gotham II jacket is designed to sit between your belt and bottom of crotch. I'm 5'10 165 pounds and the medium already sags past the right area. I tried on all many other jackets and apparently Small is the proper size and fit for anyone around my height and weight. You can get by with Medium but a keen eye will notice it is not the proper size, so be careful. The jacket is not slim fitted, it is kind of bulky on the sides but looks good. The material is very soft and comfortable on the outside. Extremely warm and functional. Highly recommended. Do not buy TTS, get one size smaller! If you don't believe me, go to store and see yourself.

I wear this at work and during night walks when the temperature range is from 60-40 degrees, great wind resistant material along with comfy insides, well built with lots of pockets. I have especially liked the face guard to protect my lower half of my face against cool winds.

Used for skiing and it's a great jacket for cold/windy elements

Great jacket. Just what I was looking for. I'm in between sizes and always have a problem with sizing so I ordered both the Large and Medium. The medium was perfect. I'm 5'11" about an average build. Both actually fit and either would work, but the medium looked like a better fit. I've only wore it for a few days now but it's extremely comfortable and warm. Ive had jackets from snowboard companies and the expensive goose brand and have to say that I always come back to The North Face. For bang for the buck, they are the best around. Highly recommend.

It's the perfect coat for winter weather anywhere around the world I'd bet .

I love this jacket! Plain and simple. It does everything it needa to do and then some. From its extra warm composition to its stylish design, it's the full package. The gaitor really comes in handy for those harsh winter days. Contrary to popular belief that winter coats must be bulky in order to be effective, this jacket is fairly light and doesn't weigh me down. Already convinced two friends purchase jackets. Excellent buy!

Commuting in cold weather demands warm clothing that can stand up to harsh Colorado winters. I'm happy I finally gave up the peacoat. I didn't realize how cold I was all the time until I gave into the puffy, down jacket.

Have only had it a couple weeks had a storm the other night cold temperatures was outside an hour warm the whole time never got a chill blocked the wind was great!

Having recently relocated from South Africa, where a sweater will get you through our winters, I had fears about being seriously ill-equipped for a US East Coast winter. Once I found the North Face, my fears were immediately put to rest, these guys are seasoned extreme weather pros! The online store was fantastic, I could find what I needed for my particular use with ease through the site navigation, the products came in great color options, had excellent pictures and even reviews (like this) that would further comfort me I was making the right choice. I feel ready and prepped for my first east coast winter!

Being in the military I see a lot of jackets and this is way better than the ones we use.

This jacket keeps you warm and dry, is perfect for colder weather and snow, and also makes you look stylish and modern

What a great jacket! I honestly walked outside in winter weather and felt zero difference in temperature change on my body. Warm yet comfortable. Looks great too! The mask inside the hood adds a new level of protection, and combined with the fur blocks even the worst blowing snow from your face. Highly recommend

i wear this in MONTREAL and it does great ! in january temperatures can drop to -30C and it does a great job in keeping me warm ! the neck protector is amazing.

I love it didn't know it had a built in face mask that came in handy on those windy days we just had can't say anything bad about it perfect winter coat

I am in love with this coat. I love the stylish (detachable) faux fur hood and the face mask built into the hood. The coat itself looks nice as well and is quite warm (blocking out the wind very well). The outside layer is pretty quiet when it rubs together unlike some coats which are noisy. The zipper seems decent, although it is made of plastic which I am a little weary of. My only real complaint is that the pockets are pretty small (especially the inside pocket). Finally, If you like your coat to fit tightly (I prefer to have some space for layers) I might go a size smaller than usual.

Truly impressed with the craftmanship of this jacket and how well it kept me warm in 19 degree weather in Park City Utah.

Use it to commute---train/subway/walk...Also when driving the sleeves fit perfect and don't bulk up over my hands! Just a great jacket to put on and know that whatever the weather I'll be covered!

I use this jacket in the frigid winters of upstate New York where temperatures drop as low as -30F (with windchill) during the peak of winter. I tried this jacket on when it arrived, and immediately noticed how much lighter it was than I expected it to be, which is a plus, because it is extremely warm and breathable in conjunction with its light weight. It is a very well constructed jacket, and I feel like it will last me for years to come, and the lifetime guarantee from The North Face shows just how confident they are in this product, and you should be too!

The gotham is a REAL jacket, as funny as that may sound. I've bought similar priced jackets and they just don't compare. You feel the weight of the jacket. I'm usually in Utah two weekends a month where it gets down to around 10 degrees, this jacket makes the cold very comfortable.
