Get to warm in it. Use it for very cold days. When I won't have to carry it if I have to take it off.

This jacket fits perfectly. I'm 5'9, 170 lbs. it's slightly bulky but that's to be expected with a winter coat. One thing I've noticed with this "type" of coat is the bottom always flairs out and makes you look like a giant Michelin man or something. this jacket doesn't give you that effect. It fits snugly along my body and comes down to right past my pockets if I'm wearing jeans.
Easily keeps me warm in temperatures as low as the high 20s when layered with a long sleeve shirt plus a flannel. I'm sure in even lower temperatures it would be fine.

It's a great comfortable jacket. Doesn't keep me warm as the parka jacket. But this one is more stylish and the color is great.

I got this jacket for Christmas and love it. The fit is great and it is very warm. I also like the fur around the hood to help block wind. Overall, I would recommend this jacket.

Originally bought a large but was too big, Exchanged it for a medium. Noticed the length of the arm sleeves were about the same. Something to consider if you have long arms. Main use for this jacket is everyday commute to work and around town errand runs. It's a warm jacket. Never felt too hot or cold. Always warm due to the 550 fill and breathability of the jacket. Never felt the need to layer anything more than a long sleeve shirt underneath it. The rib wrist and waist hems help lock in heat and keep cold and wind out. The jacket zips pretty high - up to neck/chin - which is a good thing cause it keeps heat from escaping. Its pretty waterproof. Any water that hits the jacket either bounces off it or just sits on the surface until you shake them off or roll off. When the jacket is zipped up and the front flaps are snapped in, you can't feel any wind penetrating even when its 5 degrees out and a wind chill factor of -26. The emergency neck/face gaiter is a plus to the jacket. The jacket shell material is tough compared to the more flimsy puffer jackets. You can be a bit rough with the jacket and not have to worry about ripping a hole in it.
The jacket is stylish, modern and looks good. It's not just another black denali like every other person has on. It's an all around solid jacket for this price range. Would buy again. The only cons for me is the chest and hand pockets. Wished they were both zippered instead of snaps. I find zippers are easier to operate. With gloves on, the snap pockets are sometimes difficult to operate or snap closed. Also don't feel secure with snap pockets since there's still a chance of stuff falling out. The inside media chest pocket is zippered and great for stowing a cell phone. This jacket is also on the heavy side due to the down and shell material. Wouldn't recommend this jacket for outdoor activities. But it's great for city commute and everyday errand runs.

Love this jacket for commuting in the cold and snowy weather. Keeps me really warm, and if it is bitter cold out, there is plenty of room to wear a sweatshirt underneath the jacket. The built in neck warmer behind the hood is great when I'm traveling a long distance. Again, absolutely love this jacket, and it is worth every dollar.

Bought this jacket as a gift for my husband. He's always had nice winter coats but never something that is both very functional and stylish like this jacket. He typically walks to work and cannot be happier about how well this jacket keeps him warm. Would highly recommend to anyone has below zero winters.

The Gotham Urban Jacket is my favorite winter jacket. I have owned several North Face Nuptse jackets over the years, and they have always held up through many washings and winters. This year I looked for a more waterproof winter jacket, and the Gotham Urban Jacket is just what I needed. It is built solidly, with a great zipper that closes easily, metal snap buttons as extra protection from cold and wind and a nice-fitting hood. I actually enjoy going out into the cold and rain with this coat! This is a great product and a perfect winter coat. Highly recommend it, without reservations!

Excellent jacket -- very pleased. It's both warm and stylish and definitely holds up in Chicago's tough winter weather. I wore the Patagonia Das Parka for three years, which supposedly was Patagonia's warmest jacket, but the Gotham II is definitely warmer and way better looking.
I love the built in neck warmer and the fur hoody. I usually wear a medium in most clothing brands but had to get a small in North Face (I'm 5'9 and 165 pounds). I would recommend this jacket for anyone living in a cold climate.
