Just got this in Urban Navy for Christmas. Color is great and for me it was a toss-up between this and New Taupe, but I have a lot of other green and tan/brown jackets. Navy is a solid choice that avoids looking too military and is versatile enough to go with any color attire - gotta stay fashionable! I'm 5'9", 165#, and like my clothes & jackets fitted. For the record, I usually wear Medium in TNF "active fit" and Small in TNF "relaxed fit". Sizing for this jacket was a big debate but I went with Medium and happy that I did. It's really just right - enough sleeve length, plenty of room if I layer, length is right, etc. The materials are all excellent and, while I thought that I'd prefer a softer exterior material, I really like the durable & bullet-proof feel of the shell. The hood fur is nice quality and a great contrast to the Navy. Temp is currently in the low teens and it's windy on the east side of Cleveland as I write this. I was standing outside as I pumped gas and the only part of me that was cold was my legs in jeans. I've been searching for the warm jacket that I really wanted and I have finally found it. I have tons of TNF gear - from long sleeve t's to various weight fleeces to several Triclimate jackets where I'm forever trying to figure out what shell/liner combo is gonna work best in the cold. This is IT for me for true cold weather gear. You can't go wrong with this if you really need an urban/casual-oriented cold weather jacket. Order one and don't look back.

I have been looking for a cold weather jacket for my area of Colorado. I was in downtown Chicago and was able to try coats at various competitors and I think the North Face Gotham Jacket III fits my needs. Glad I got it!

My husband felt difference between other cold weather jackets and this one instantly. This jacket is built to last for decades and to bear all sorts of cold,harsh weather conditions.

I like The NorthFace products as I own two other pieces. This jacket is amazing. I received the jacket in a beautiful red that is bound to be a eye catcher. As the weather begins to decrease in temperature I now have a piece that is stylish and most sufficient for the climate.

I was looking for a stylish jacket that I could take with me to a winter trip in Iceland and this jacket was my choice. Let me start by saying that Iceland in the winter is cold, very cold, and I needed a jacket that looked great while keeping me warm. This jacket definitely was up to the challenge! It was down to -5 C plus wind chill and I was warm, but keep in mind that I was not doing any strenuous activity so this jacket really had to keep in the small amount of heat I was producing. My favorite part of this jacket is that its right at home in a hip city like Reykjavik, because I did not want to look like a mountain climber in the middle of the city. So, if you want to be cool and warm buy this jacket!

I had read the reviews and finally decided to purchase this coat. It was in the low 30's this morning and windy and did not feel at all uncomfortable wearing this coat. I have no doubt that this coat will keep me warm during my trip to Asia in February. The family pitched in and bought one for my brother for a Christmas present.

This jacket is perfect for everyday wear. Very durable and warm.

I purchased this the Gotham Jacket III to have on a two week expedition in Bear Mountain, California. I was there almost thirty years ago at the U.S Marine Corps Mountain Warfare School and returned with friends to spend the two weeks camping in our tents, cross country skiing, and mountain climbing. The Gotham Jacket III exceeded all expectations. It was comfortable to wear during the two week physically arduous trip, was effectively waterproof, and durable during rock climbing. I'm planning on ordering several more to have on stand bye for my next trip to southwest asia.

The size selector got it exactly right as I was not sure what size to buy! It is well made and warm - perfect for walking across a college campus during these cold and windy days.

I am overjoyed with my coat. I've always wanted a North face coat. I am very satisfied. I wish this jacket came in more colors.

Loved the style of this coat for my 19 yr old son. Sizing was a little big overall even though we put in his size dimensions on the website. He tried on a small in a store and decided to order it instead. He's excited to get it for Christmas and wear it skiing and on campus.

I use it when its cold outside.

Wearing this coat is like free falling into the waiting arms of the friendliest polar bear on earth. This coat is everything I have always envisioned a Parka to be. It's not too bulky or restricting. Give me this coat, a nice pair of boots and a hot chocolate, I'll brave the alaskan wilderness like Into the Wild. I've purchased a lot of North Face products over the years and probably 6 or 7 winter coats, although satisfied, none made me feel the way this coat has made me feel. Kudos to The North Face.

Purchased this jacket as a gift for my son. He is very happy with the quality and it keeps him warm during the bitter cold and windy days. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

I use this jacket between my commute from school and back and everything else. Just moved to Grand Forks, ND, and the cold weather especially with the wind is indescribable. This coat serves its purpose and I might add in a stylish way.
