This jacket replaced an old, trusty TNF McNurdo Parka 1 from many years ago. There was nothing wrong with that jacket, it just didn't fit as well as it used to since I got it when baggy clothes were in. It was warm and a bit heavy, but it did the job. I wanted something modern and stylish that was still warm. I love the look of the Gotham Jacket 3. To me, it's a big improvement in style over the Gotham 1 and 2. It's a bomber style jacket with down insulation and a fur hood, which I love the look of. You can tell that it's not exactly as high quality as a 10-year-old McMurdo, but that's okay for me. It's still very well made and warm. Fit is a bit big. I'm 6'1, 180, and usually wear a large. For me, I need a medium in this and in other similar TNF jackets, like the McMurdo 3. There is less filling than in my old McMurdo 1, but it's still very warm. I do have to note that I got this on sale for about 40% off. At that price, it's a great deal.

The best jacket I ever have

Great for the winter and fits amazing.

Excellent quality as expected from north face. The jacket runs a full size big just like all north face jackets in my experience. It's warm, waterproof, a great all-weather winter jacket. It is a little puffier than other jackets I have tried, but then it's also warmer so that's to be expected really. Very nice dark charcoal color looks better in person than the pictures show.

This jacket keeps me super warm!

This jacket is literally perfect, the only problem is that it fits too big! I wear a medium in everything, and some things even fit tightly in a medium. This jacket fits big in a medium. I would recommend ordering a size down.

Great winter coat/jacket. I am a photographer and shoot in all weather, after dealing with some 6 degree temperatures last year I realized I had to step up to a better jacket. This so far has delivered,

Haven't been in the rain to test it out yet but it's great in cold weather, was 37 degrees and windy and I was very warm and kept the wind out.

The quality, style and construction of this jacket is purely amazing. I was hesitant investing at first, yet knew this was going to be a coat I'll have for life! so I pulled the trigger and it did not disappoint. I got the Large, and turned out to be too big for me as I wanted the coat to be more fitting for my athletic build. When I called customer service to hear of my options of getting a smaller size, they found the closets store to my location, and put the right size on hold for me, not questions asked. I was beyond happy that I didn't have to re-purchase it and wait for the the medium to come in! The company is truly amazing combined with impeccable customer service! I'm North face lifer!

very nice jacket for winter. Comes with a ski mask built in not shown on north face website which is nice for freezing winter.

TNF suggested a Medium based on my inputs, but it was too large and I had to reorder for a small. I'm 5'11 150Lbs and the small fits just fine. I'd suggest ordering a size smaller than usual, unless you'd like a lot of extra room.

Love this coat. It's got style like Squall from Final Fantasy 8.

Been looking at this for a while, finally pulled the trigger and very happy for it.

Not only does this jacket look amazing it feels amazing on. They really thought of everything with this jacket. I also love the face shield you can either choose to wear or not wear. Works great for that wind chill. I've never owned a goose down jacket but the comfort is unreal. This is just another example why I stick with The North Face.
