The first time I wore the Gotham lll jacket was to an NFL football game on December 16th in Baltimore. The temperature was in tn mid 30's, with a steady cold rain and wind gusts around 15 miles and hour. With seats in the upper deck I was totally exposed to the elements. This jacket kept me warm and bone dry! The jacket is great for my urban lifestyle and I have received complements while wearing it. This was a great investment for me.

Got the coat for my son who will be attenting Norwich University VT. He has had occasion to wear it up there already and said it is by far the best winter coat he has owned. Hard to please a teen in style, practicality and value for money. This coat manages it!

So the cons for most people is the price, the thing is those people like myself would go through a jacket a year and the jacket never really keeps the cold wind out. This jacket is just amazing with blocking the cold. I can finally be outside in the freezing cold and this jacket will last me 4-5 years easily if not more.

I use this coat when it is cold I use it when the weather is wet overall very good coat keeps me warm and dry I would remconmend this coat to someone else.

The day after the jacket arrived last week the temperatures dropped into the 30's along with pouring down rain and 50 mph winds. First, I was amazed at how comfortable the jacket was when I put it on and how well it fit. But having to get out in the cold/wet/windy weather was the true test that proved I had made the right choice in jackets. If there are any cons it would be there is no draw string, or alternative, to keep a strong wind like we had last week from blowing the hoodie from your head. But if you are thinking about buying a new jacket, look no further. This jacket is an excellent choice!

Great jacket and all around great performer for winter. Typical north face quality and warmth. Zipper is the only weak point on it. Wish the pockets were a little bigger. Armpit vents would be nice but not necessary. Still five star coat. The website picture for the black coat is not accurate. It shows a blacked out NF logo and the one I got is white. Not a deal breaker but I would of liked the black logo better. Need to fix the picture.
