I have 3 of these coats! Black, grey & navy. I love this coat. I'm in a northeast urban city. This coat is great for those windy cold slushly days. I always buy a xxl to comfortably fit a hoodie underneath.

I was looking for a parka that was warm, not bulky, stylish, feminine, not boxy, one that i could show up to dinner in without looking like a Maine lumberjack. Utopia, right? not anymore!!! I cant express just how excited I am about this parka. I am 5'4" and weigh 125lbs with 34B chest. I ordered the XS size in dark blue and it's perfect. When zipped, I have enough room for a second warm layer. Sleeves hit just past my wrists and have warm cuffs to seal in out the cold. Parka comes down mid-thigh in the front and slightly longer in the back. The waist is nicely fitted. The best part for me - when zipped up, I can hide my chin in the collar and don,t need a scarf to protect my neck from the cold (so many winter coats zip up only to the collar bone, leaving the rest exposed). I am actually excited for winter!

This is by far the best coat I've ever worn, or even seen. It is SO heavy, in a good way, thick, puffy, heavy duty. I think it would be near impossible to rip it due to the thick exterior shell (so many coats have that thin, slippery fabric!). I live in MN where it's regularly -20 before windchill, and I can walk the dog in a TANK TOP under this and come back sweating. Forget trying to wear it in weather above 20, it's a sauna. And I'm a naturally cold person. It looks stylish, and fits well. I'm 5'4, 160, and bought a large. This coat will last a lifetime!

I love this jacket! Like other reviews have mentioned, I think it runs slightly small so if you want to wear bulky sweaters or sweatshirts, you might want to consider sizing up. I love that the coat is waterproof, long and has a detachable hood (detachable fur too). It’s really warm and I think it’s going to be perfect for our Michigan winters! Definitely a solid choice for the price.

I use this coat for cold weather and 5the winter weather. It helps keep me warm and is very cute too wear.

This is my second winter with this coat, and I love it! I often work outside in very cold, snowy conditions, and the coat has kept me warm and dry without being too bulky. I frequently hike to winter field sites in deep snow, and climb up granite slopes. Despite the wear and tear, the coat has held up really well! The outer material is incredibly durable and keeps rain, snow, and wind out. I am 5'4" and bought a L, which fits well even with a midweight layer underneath. I also have a larger bust (36F) which can cause other coats to feel too constricting, but this parka fits well. All in all I definitely recommend this coat!

Bought this for my daughter and she loves it! She consistently raves about it!

I am writing this review for people who might be trying to decide between the Outer Boroughs Parka and the Arctic Parka. I purchased both of these to try out at home. I am a true size L, 5'7"/34D and the L in the Arctic was a perfect fit. The Outer Borough was way too tight in a L and too large in an XL. The Outer Borough may have better pockets but I will be keeping the Arctic and can't wait for it to get cold now!

I love this jacket. Being from MN, it's important to have a warm jacket. This jacket is warm and very comfortable, and it's waterproof as well, which is great for the autumn rains or wet snow. As a side note, I would typically buy a size small in tops, but I used The North Face size guide and it recommended that I buy a medium, which I did, and it fits great.

I love love love this jacket! Not only is it super cute but it is also SO warm! I just love it. Totally worth it! Would recommend to anyone.

This is a great jacket! I'm from CA and I'm braving my first east coast winter... this jacket has already been a lifesaver! It's stylish and comfortable and WARM!! Once I get inside I need to take it off because I'm so warm! Highly recommend this jacket!

I own the metropolis and this parka. I love both but this one is not as puffy since it’s cut more streamlined. Both are great for different events. I use this coat more for date nights, evenings out since it’s a little dressier. Great parka and warm!!!

I am 5'3" and 156lbs. I have a small waist with larger hips and a 36D bust. The coat is a perfect fit through the shoulders and sleeves. I knew that the medium I ordered may be a little snug in the chest and hip area. With that said, I LOVE THIS COAT. Yes, it is snug but it also shows off my shape in a way that is hard to find in winter coats. The light grey heather color is darker than pictured as I had hoped it would be. The coat is SO warm and I love the hood! This is the warm, stylish winter coat I have been looking for!

I spent days and days searching for the perfect winter jacket within a somewhat reasonable price range. I needed something warm, windproof, waterproof, something that covered my butt but still had a woman's shape to it and of course it had to look pretty. It was between this jacket and something similar from Columbia, which was the brand of my previous winter jacket. Both were the same price but I really liked that North Face used goose down instead of duck, the fact that it has a windproof/waterproof fabric, the color/pattern (I chose the gray herringbone - LOVE IT) and I really liked the shape/style of the jacket as well. I'm so happy I decided to go with this one because I really love it. In comparison to my old Columbia jacket it feels much better quality like it will last way longer and overall style is much more pleasing to the eye. Also the "comfort cuffs" feel much thicker and warmer on the North Face and the hood seems to be better constructed as well. I love the cinched waste line too. The whole jacket is better constructed from start to finish, really. I literally cannot wait for the cold weather to hit Philly and I typically hate cold weather (hence the purchase of this jacket). I would definitely recommend using their size chart/questionnaire thingy because I almost ordered an XS but listened to the recommended size which was a Small and I'm glad I listened otherwise I'd have to be mailing it back for an exchange right now. All in all 5 stars. I would give more if I could. Thank you North Face!!

This product was all that I had hoped it would be. Even though the sizing tool said I would be a medium, based on the clothes I wear I ordered a small and it's the perfect size and still with enough room to later. It's got such a nice look that I can wear it casually or for business while ensuring I stay warm.

I've been wanting a dark green coat for the last few years and finally I have one. I have a straight build with wider shoulders than hips and this coat helps to give me more lower body curves. Although the main purpose of this coat is to keep me warm in cold NYC winters, I still want to look and feel feminine.

Just bought this jacket on Saturday, from the color to the fit, it is amazing!

Warm and lightweight. Great for outdoor soccer games.

I use it for day to day wear and for spartan competitions.

I'm originally from Texas and desperately wanted to stay warm during the brutal below zero Wisconsin winters. I've had North Face coats before but always had to layer underneath to stay warm. I finally had had enough of being cold despite layering and bought this down parka. BEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE! This down parka is WARM! I wear a long sleeve shirt underneath and I stay toasty warm. The silhouette is flattering and coat is comfortable. I'm a short meatball (5'0" and 160lbs) so got a large because of my tummy. This fit like a dream with plenty of room for movement or layering I wanted it. If you're on the fence about this, buy it. You'll be so happy you did!

Its very warm. It is water proof and wind proof. I wore it this weekend in montreal which was a crazy weather mix of ice rain and snow and awfull wind and it handles everything. I could not ask anything better. I felt toasty and was not sweating because it is breathable. It fits very well. I could not believe its actually warmer than my canada goose.

I'd planned on buying this coat closer to cold weather season but was gifted this by my husband on our anniversary. He picked the gorgeous gray color that goes with everything and has a slight herringbone pattern. For size reference, I'm 5'8" 127 pounds and he purchased the XS. It fits like a dream. I have fairly narrow shoulders and an athletic build. I wouldn't be able to fit a super chunky sweater under but probably a mid weight layer. The craftsmanship of this jacket is really lovely. I've only been able to wear it a few times as the weather is just starting to turn but I know I will get so much wear out of this coat in the years to come. It can easily be dressed up or look great with yoga pants on the weekend. 10/10 would have bought this jacket for myself!

This coat fits awesome and feels really warm. I like that it’s not too heavy and it has a slightly form-fitting look to keep me from looking like a big blob. I also like that the faux fur trim is removable and how high the collar is. Perfect for protecting me from winds! I think this coat is definitely worth the money!
