Disappointed. The coat sheds feathers so badly, it's unwearable ( unless you are going to the gym and don't mind). Arrived at an event ( of course in black) and was covered with feather parts. Generally with lesser quality coats and older coats feather's can come out and will shed. However, this was not a cheap coat at $300. The coat would have been perfect in every way as it was heavy, warm and the overall quality seemed very nice. Instead it brought tears of embarrassment and disappointment.

Returned this coat as the material felt and looked cheap. It showed tons of lint right out of the box. I've always had good experiences with north face coats in the past so it's a shame. Seems like their quality is not what it once was.

I was excited to finally have a PARKA - AN ARCTIC PARKA - that would shield me from the Toronto winters. This doesn't even withstand the 7 minute wait for the TTC in regular windchill. It feels very light and with a thick cardigan underneath I felt the wind go right through me. I AM DISAPPOINTED. Advertise this correctly, please, as Bulky Windbreaker.

Was very happy with this for the first two months, then the zipper starting to come apart at the bottom every time I wore the jacket and I wouldn't be able to take it off. Taking a heavy parka off over my head is not fun. I know winter is coming soon so I looked into replacing the zipper and now I find out I have to ship it to another province and wait 6-8 weeks before getting it fixed. I guess ill just have to survive the beginning of this Canadian winter with no jacket. Thank you North Face!

My current North Face Parka is 6 years old and I bought this one to replace it as the interior seams are giving way and I get covered in feathers. The coat was warm, well made and I loved it. However, this new version feels that a cheap knock off. The quality of the material, snaps, zippers, and hood is a much poorer. I am returning the coat, and very disappointed I have to do so.

I tried publishing this review before, but seems it wasn't approved.. Trying again, as I think it is only fair for others to be aware. I LOVED my coat!! It was warm, comfy and stylish. Tried washing it as per the instructions, and it tore a huge gaping hole in the sleeve, with no possibility of repair. I'm so sad... Had to buy a cheap coat for rest of the winter as I couldn't afford to re-invest this money in another coat.

I wore this every day so far this winter, in Toronto. I LOVED it so much. Then I spilt coffee on it, and had to wash it. I followed the washing instructions step by step, but it came out with a huge gash (rip) all the way down the length of the right sleeve. I literally cried. It is not fixable. I cannot afford to buy a replacement, so had to settle for a cheap (and much less warm) coat to last me the rest of the winter :-(

I am so so so disappointed. I loved my coat, wore it every day. Spilt coffee on it, so had to wash it. Followed the washing instructions and it came out with a huge gash all down the length of the arm, cannot be repaired. I literally cried :-( I cannot afford to buy another one, so have to settle for a cheap winter coat replacement now.

For a prize like that, it should have been warm enough. Can't compare it to the Tremaya. There's nothing like the Tremaya.

This is my 3rd TNF Arctic parka. My first (and warmest) model was purchased in 2009, my second in 2014. I purchased the latest model last week after someone stole my second TNF from the coat rack on NYE 2017. This latest version?! What a disappointment. The zipper is utter garbage, the fur collar looks cheap and sparse and the chest pockets are gone. Seriously, even the hanging loop has gone down in quality. Forget about warmth too. The arms don't have enough fill and the wind whips right through the coat. You might get some use out of this on a Carribean cruise but don't plan on much else. Signed, One Sad Loyal Customer

I am shocked that this jacket has such a high rating. My main issue with the jacket was the sizing - I have a big chest and a smaller waste so while the medium fit in the chest, it was boxy and unshapely and didn't do anything flattering for my figure. Aside from it being filled with down, I really don't see how it was worth the price - it felt very lightweight and I doubt it would stand up to the -20 Celsius + windchill southern Ontario winters, the shell did not feel sturdy or durable, and the faux fur looked cheap. Definitely not worth the original sale price. I returned this jacket immediately after trying it on in person. Very disappointing!

I ordered the Graphite. In the picture, the jacket appeared to be dark gray and fitted at the waist. However, upon arrival the coat is a light gray and very boxy. In person, this coat looks nothing like it did in the picture.

Now on my second replacement parka as the zipper construction is very poor. The bottom zipper would only zip about 3 inches before getting stuck. Half the time I couldn't get the zipper unzipped completely so I spent most of time stepping in and out of the coat. Replacement parka seems better, but this zipper also gets hung up on the interior placket. Going back to Canadian Goose. Better quality. Better customer service.

I'm 5'1"... This coat was a little too long for my short body. It looked a little strange on me. I'm returning it for a different model that isnt as long

I ordered this coat and sadly had to return it. It is so tight in the chest that I could not zip it and I am not that big. I have had the same problem with several of the jackets/coats. It looks very warm and well made. I really wanted to keep it but not possible. I would recommend The North Face, just not this coat unless you are very small chested.

Something is wrong with the size, it is not exactly small or large. It is just the wrong size and uncomfortable

The largest size this coat came in was an XL, and even then, it's too small! The armpit area is too small, I can't layer underneath - it feels like I'm being suffocated. This is a terrible cut coat. I really wanted to like this coat. What a terrible purchase.

I live in Toronto, it's mid-December, around -5 degrees only and wish I could return or exchange this parka. I can feel the chill in my chest and arms while wearing a fleece sweater and long sleeved shirt. The fit and look are great, but it is not practical. Very disappointed.

This coat runs small. when paying $300 for a coat one would expect it to be warm. I am in Michigan, when the coat was purchased it was not our coldest yet this coat was not worth the price.

This coat was just too tight under the arms. I really wanted to ignore this issue, but unfortunately, I had to return the medium, and the large was way too big. I am 5'5" and 125 lbs. Hoping that TNF redesigns it for next season to be a tiny bit roomier under the arms.

I bought this coat because of the extreme cold weather we have been having this winter, I have another north face spring jacket and I love it. This coat??s name and price should indicate that it would be an ideal coat for Canadian winters - this is not the case!!! The second I went outside wearing the coat I knew it wasn??t warm enough. The wind blows right through it. I can??t even wear it because I freeze. I have gone back to wearing my old Columbia coat. Very disappointed in this coat

I was excited to finally get a North Face Coat so I would be WARM as the winter has been somewhat brutal out here in Indiana this year. My old Eddie Bauer Lodge Parka was shedding terribly and again time for a replacement??_so I figured I would spend the $$ on a good parka and it would last more than the Eddie Bauer's 1 season stint. I was sorely disappointed. I bought the small and it fits perfectly, however the coat is NOT warm! I went outside several times hoping it was just me but the cold goes right through the sleeves and shoulders. There is also a patch in the back around the elastic that is cold as well. I left the tag on and will be returning. It is sad. Such a nice, pretty coat! It is sad that my beat up Eddie Bauer, which is shedding feathers everywhere, is still warmer. I don't see any store that has another in my size and color to see if perhaps I received a dud, so I guess I will have to be returning for my $ back.
