I usually wear a small in tops but went with the medium to have a little extra room. Even with the room to move it is still a flattering silhouette and stylish for a parka. It has been a stunning difference to wear in super cold NYC these days. For the price point I think it's the best out there and it's traceable down which is important to me.

The length is perfect with a pair of y'all boots! This jacket has kept me so warm with the polar Vortex in the Midwest currently! It's comfortable, I've received so many compliments on it. I've had 0 feathers come out of the jacket!

I hadn't had a Northface winter jacket for years. I needed something warm and well made that I know will last for years. This coat fits this list. The zipper was alittle fussy the first time but not an issue since then. The sleeve cuffs are a wonderful surprise! After looking at a number of different coats, I'm extremely happy I chose Northface again! You won't be disappointed!

This is a great coat that really live with up to its description. I was wondering how a coat could be windproof but after wearing around NJ / NY the last few weeks it definitely is. It has kept me very warm. It has a double zipper which is nice because it is a fitted coat it’s nice to be able to zip up from the bottom when sitting in the car for an extended period of time. The fur is detachable which is nice bc it states that it’s waterproof to a degree. Haven’t tried it out in snow yet but will do so on an upcoming trip to Iceland. Definitely worth the money for this coat

I absolutely love this coat.I have been undecided where to get this or not but as soon as I received it I loved it.Super warm and stylish and I got a small and it fits perfectly.I would definitely recommend it.

I love this coat and am glad that I bought it one size larger. I have a larger chest and this coat in a larger size does not make me look large.

I wanted a warm, non-puffer (not trendy), longer coat--not a jacket. I am happy with my purchase! It is not bulky, and it doesn't squeak when I walk or move about. I normally wear a small, but I went by the size guidelines, which sized me at a medium, because I am pear-shaped, smaller busted but with 38 inch hips. So glad I bought the medium! It allows me to wear thicker sweaters underneath and fits my hips perfectly without looking too padded. It lies close to the body. It keeps my thighs warm (yay!).The size guide seems accurate. I bought the navy color and was a little afraid it would be too light, but it is a true navy, and I love it. The zipper works great! You have to engage the 2 zipper pulls together initially to start the zipper, but then you can separate the 2 pulls to allow bi-directional closure or opening. It runs smoothly in either direction. And you can opt to just use the snaps without the zipper, which is a nice feature, time-saver. This coat is warm and has 2 big pockets for the hands. Yes, I live in CA, but I'm easily cold, and I may move to another state or take this coat during travel in Europe some day. I will happily use it for many years.

I decided to go with another jacket but this one was super warm. I just wanted something a little different. It was much like a coat I had a few years ago...you would be sure to be warm in this!! Thanks North Face for making it so easy to return.

I was originally gifted with a medium size in the gray, but for some reason, I felt it restricted my movement. I loved the coat and the color, but I didn't like the fit. The cinching at the waist made it difficult to bend over, and the sleeves seemed like a Chris Farley sketch/Fat Man in a Little Coat-I'm 5'7, 150 lbs., and normally wear a medium in other coats/jackets from North Face. I returned the coat to my local store and re-ordered a navy size L because North Face didn't have a larger size in the same color anywhere in the US/popular coat it seems. It's a bit big on me, and the sleeve length is longer than I like, but it's super warm so I am not concerned about the fit. Ideally, I would've liked the medium to fit, but in this case, the cut just didn't allow it for me. Will wear it until the wheels fall off.

Bought this for the freezing cold winters in Michigan. It does a great job and I highly recommend it! So warm and has more of a tailored fit compared to the others.

This jacket is quite effective at blocking out wind and rain. I use it for winters in Michigan and it is amazing. For the price and the quality this jacket is one of the best on the market.

I bought this for a trip to Sweden and Denmark for two weeks in January. It is perfect! The weather here can span from sun, snow, rain with a brisk wind. The coat is substantial, and because of the amount of material involved, it will feel and appear a little bulky but not enough for me to be discouraged from wearing it. It can be cold, not quite Minnesota cold, and I appreciate the protection while I'm waiting for the train, bus or while hoofing it to my next destination. So far it is cozy at 35 degrees and protective at 25 degrees at night. If I pack it down, it will compress and take up the space in my backpack that I use for work, but it is worth it to avoid the chill. The water beads up and runs off, the textured exterior is refined and blends in with the Scandinavian chic. I haven't had any issues with the zipper, and I appreciate the two way for the times when I am on the train and need a little ventilation. I love that it covers my thighs (I'm 5'5"). This is the coat I will keep for years to come.

It keeps me warm while I take my dog for a hike!

I wear this coat in the cold Wisconsin winters.

I bought this parka to walk the dog in mid-winter weather that typically gets down in the teens (before windchill). It is slim-fitting and stylish but WARM, and surprisingly lightweight given how warm it is. The hood is amazing-I no longer need my turtle fur to protect my neck and it keeps my head, ears and neck warm. It was also a great value given how warm it is.

I needed a jacket because I'm going to Alaska. So I made sure to do a lot research because if I'm going to buy something I'm not going to waste my money. I tested this jacket out while I was in the Poconose. The temperature was 3 with wind. And I didn't feel a single thing. I'm not sure how the jacket will do wet but if you're buying it for a cold windy day this jacket is perfect. I also am 5'6" and 34DD and a bit of an athletic built. So I wanted to make sure the jacket had room in the sleeves because I hate when my arms are restricted in jackets. Typically, I wear a medium or a large but I got the jacket in a XL and I'm glad I did.

I am usually an XL at TNF. Using the fit finder, it was recommended I order a size up (due to my fit preferences and carrying my weight in the belly). This proved to be the perfect size! The back seams, darting, and elastic at the high waist make for a girlish silhouette.

This is my favorite, warmest coat and it isn't nearly as bulky as other down coats that I tried. I like that it has the hard/ windproof outer layer which adds to the warmth as the cold can't get in. Hood is a bit big and doesn't stay on my head very well, but if I'm wearing a hat it all works out.

I go to school in South Bend, IN, where the temperatures can drop so low. I just got this coat and I am in love with it! It's loose enough that I can fit a couple layers under, but it doesn't look bulky at all. I have already gotten so many compliments on this jacket, and I would definitely buy it again!

I wear this coat both to work and for walks. It is very light, warm, comfortable, and stylish. Good size pockets with zippers are a bonus. Every small detail is well thought through. It's the best coat I've ever had. Love it!!! The only thing I don't like about it is black fir on the hood (I've got a white coat). I would prefer brown fir but it's possible to take it off, so it's not a problem.
