It's true, this jacket got me through the polar vortex. Tested it out and it's legit. If you are looking for a jacket, look no further. It's super warm and well worth every penny.

Ive been searching for the perfect parka for weeks. So glad I found this one! It's so comfortable and warm. I live in Michigan and it's perfect for our freezing winters. I think it looks stylish. I got in the navy color. I was pleasantly surprised that the front pockets were lined with a soft warm material which is nice when you put your hands in your pocket. Would definitely recommend.

Great Jacket, The fit is a little snug. I typically wear XS, but tried the XS and the S before deciding. Also, I would advise testing it in below freezing windy New York weather. I have not had an opportunity to test it properly yet, but I feel like it failed the balcony test during the last Winter Storm.

This coat is wonderfully warm without having the "bulk" that some winter coats have. We just survived -40-degree windchill temps, and this coat kept me toasty warm. I ordered the navy blue coat, and the color actually looks a little sharper (less "heathered") than it does in the picture online. I love it. My only regret is that I waited 2 years to buy it! If you're on the fence, you won't regret buying this coat!

I like the coat but there are not enough pockets. There are two front pockets and one small inside pocket. Just not enough. I have to return it, unfortunately.

I bought the jacket about a month ago and it was kept me warm in -20c weather. When the polar vortex hit and temps dropped to -40c I thought I would not be very warm. I was wrong it kept me very warm even the pockets kept my hands warm. Only my face was cold. This is an excellent Jacket and I would buy this over and over again.

I did my research before deciding to purchase this jacket. I had a bad experience with an expensive parka I purchased a few years ago from a well known designer. That disappointment left me with an extensive list of must haves. I searched all of North Face's competitors. This coat checked all of my boxes and didn't cost $1,000 +. I ordered it with hopes it would beat the polar vertex's arrival. Unfortunately UPS couldn't deliver on time due to our temperature hitting -48 degrees last week. But after we reached a balmy -32 degrees, they showed up with my new parka. While I didn't get to test the coat in -48 degrees, I did wear it as soon at it reached my door. I threw the dog's snow boots on her, donned my new parka and out the door we went for the afternoon walk. I'm used to cold weather living in the Midwest. But let's face it, this polar vertex was no joke. You can't really expect perfection at -32 degrees from any garment can you? Guess what?! You can! I was toasty warm. Very pleasantly surprised! Today, we experienced strong and chilling wind gusts. Again, this jacket held up! I'm a believer! You can't go wrong with this jacket. It is made with great craftsmanship. Buy it!

Arrived on time and was everything expected. Very warm... even with this polar vortex! Definitely need layers under coat when 20* below zero. Very cute coat... can be worn to gym and work!

This jacket was one of my best purchases. I've had it for over a year. Our winter this year has been brutal with subzero temps and I have stayed warm and comfortable through it all. The quality is unmatched to any coat I've owned. Highly recommend. Also the fit is very flattering. I purchased the Olive and I love the contrast of the colors in the "fur" hood. Love love love this.

I took the faux fur collar off and it gives a clean and elegant and unadorned impression. Can handle serious cold and kept me warm. I saw it on a friend and she looked warm AND elegant and that sold me. So glad you handle xxl so I could enjoy this marvelous coat. Also glad your coats are faux fur and doesn't harm the geese. Good for you and much appreciated by your customers. I recommended it to another friend who also purchased one.

I am a teacher that has outside recess duty. This coat is perfect for the elements!! I love how it fits and keeps me very warm! It's the best coat I ever have owned.

This is my second Arctic Parka, I have the version before this. It fits well, ordered an XL for extra layering room underneath (I am a size 10/medium-large tops). Let me say Chicago is in the deepest freeze we've ever seen in this generation and this coat has done a fabulous job of protecting me. It reached -55 below with windchill and with a shirt and fleece underneath, kept me warm. Almost unreal! I highly recommend this coat to anyone. I am not sure why others thought it was heavy and bulky, it is actually not at all and yet completely does the job intended, which is keeping you warm. Excellent at wind resistance as well.

North face is extra warm and comfortable. Zappos is very quick on delivery and I like their return policy

I was looking for a new North Face to replace the one I’ve had for 10 years now. I looked at the previous reviews and opted to go up a sz. I’m typically a small and ordered a medium, which was the right decision because this allows me to wear sweaters. The coat is very light weight but pretty warm. Wearing it in the coldest temperatures in the northeast now 8 degrees. Got the navy.

The jacket is super warm. Love it. I am from Michigan and this keeps me warm regardless of the cold weather (sometime even in negatives). It fits perfect and is flattering to the shape. I am 5'4, weight ranges from 115-125 lbs and XS fits me perfect. My only tiny complains is that the zipper does not always go into the double zipper from the first time. Also, because the jacket is longer, I cannot take an extremely large step.

I wear it all the time walking my dog or baby sitting and playing in the snow with the kids. I needed something warm and I just wanted to be covered its literally perfect

Needed a jacket/parka to withstand Northeast winter in NY and Boston and it did its job! Very warm, wind proof and waterproof. Love it and happy with purchase!

This coat offers serious warmth for serious winter weather. I highly recommend it for commuting, dog-walking, and just being outside. Although it's very warm, it's not overly bulky.
