I love how my coat feels, not heavy and very comfortable! It's warm and I like the zipper inside the coat, great coat for me to keep warm during winter!

This jacket is very warm and comfortable! I also love the cut and how it cinches in subtly at the waist. I got a medium (5'8", 155 lbs).

I live in Anchorage, Alaska and wear this jacket every time I go outside in the winter! I'm 5'3" and 125lbs and I found that an XS fit perfectly. I've worn it hiking, downhill skiing, and in my office when the building is cold. It's really durable, I was climbing over boulders and crags on a hike and it wasn't damaged at all. I took a couple hard falls while skiing and the zippers/snaps/etc didn't budge. It's kept me warm in snow, wind, and snow+wind+rain. The best part: it's always dry by the next day.

I received this jacket as a gift 2 Christmas' ago but I never *truly* appreciated it until this past week. My husband and I were in Iceland 12/28-1/4 and this jacket kept me SO warm. I can attest to the windproof trait of this coat as we were occasionally caught in high winds (~40mph) and they didn't cut through this jacket at all. All of the activities we did were outside (including being inside a glacier) and I was completely comfortable the whole time. Would recommend over and over again!!

This is a super-warm cold weather defense. I don't have to layer up before walking my dog in freezing temps. I put it on and zip up. Even though it's very warm, fashion is not sacrificed. It still shows curves without being bulky. I like the smooth texture and variegated grey color as opposed to the typical black puffer look. This coat is all I need other than a pair of gloves. The hood is also warm and adorable with fur trim. It fits my sporty style just right and I am never cold in this.

Amazingly warm jacket. There was a storm as the jacket arrived so I put it on, fits perfectly. I stayed warm and dry while walking my dogs. Perfect winter jacket. Super comfortable breathable not too heavy but not light. Really needed a good jacket like this. Pretty expensive but it's worth the money. I know I'll have this jacket for a few years.

I recently went to Cape May for their outdoor Christmas celebration and needless to say it was very cold being that it was December! But I bundled up with my new North Face jacket and I was snug as a bug!

I have the first generation of this coat, which lasted me a good 9 years; however, it was finally time for a new one. Comparing this to the first gen, I like the update of the inner pocket; it was moved up closer to the chest. The outer pockets are lined w/ fleece and they zip up so nothing falls out; however, they seem to be a little smaller and more shallow (again, compared to first gen). Love that this coat isn't puffy and bulky, but still keeps you warm. I usually wear an XS, but I sized up and purchased a S in this coat. It seems to be more slim fitting than the old coat I had. With the S I'm able to wear a thicker sweater if I want to and still zip up comfortably, but w/ the XS I could only wear a thin shirt and even then the arms and chest felt tight. The coat is a good length; it falls down a little past my knees. For reference, I'm 5'0". Overall, it's a good, warm winter coat for a decent price.

Coat fits like a glove, super heavy and warmer than expected (in a positive way). Very comfortable, attractive and I would buy again!

Great coat! I wasn't sure about the size so I went up and it was roomy. I used it in Sweden and Norway late November and it was comfortable and warm. It also kept me dry during an all day snow drizzle.

I ordered size S and it fits me perfectly. It is very stylish jacket. I got a lot of compliment about my jacket everyone I wear it and also it keeps u warm enough.

I am 5 ft 2", 110 lb, got it in vintage white S, was not sure about the color, I am afraid it will get dirty easily but decided to keep it anyway; XS navy blue was pretty nice but very tight in waist and shoulders; the jacket is really nice, well made, perfect length slightly above the knee, seems warm; Zappos customer service was really good, processed my return very quickly and matched the lower price for me,

This is the coat I need to get through cold winter months in Chicago. A little pricey but worth it. I'm sure I will have this coat for years before I will need to replace. I don't know how I survived without this coat in past winters!

I love this coat!!! I was in the market to purchase a new winter coat and after doing a lot of research I decided to try this one. I was a little unsure of ordering an XL or a L but decided that having the extra room in an XL would be nice if I decided to layer up. There is plenty of room without making me feel like I have on a sack. The coat is fitted enough that I feel feminine while wearing it not boxy or bulky. I've really only worn it a few times and its warming up enough that I'll have to put it away for spring but so glad that I won't have to spend time next fall looking to buy a new coat. I ordered the blue and it is a very flattering blue, not too light and not too dark. I am 5'7" and roughly 190 lbs.

I am an x-small or small top in general. Ordered a size Small and had to return. Runs small. Medium is out of stock but def ordering- it's a beautiful coat! Great typical North Face qulity.

This coat is very well-made, nice and heavy and looks to be waterproof. The inside cuffs are nice and snug and I like the zipper cover flap and the inside pocket. However, I returned it because it was a little more green than taupe, but especially because of the tucked waist with elastic bands on the sides. I ordered several styles and several brands and settled on a Jack Wolfskin.

The coat is a good length and keeps you very warm on cold winter mornings. The hood is fabulous! It stays close to your face unlike other North Face down coats. The navy blue coat with the different blue tone in the hood and inside of the coat is so pretty!

Will wear this doing errands and speed ski, it is great for walking in the woods. I had the metropolis jacket but that got snagged on sticks and got holes. This is also more water repellent.

AFTER READING TONS OF REVIEWS, I DECIDED TO TAKE THE PLUNGE AND BUY THIS COAT. THE LOOK IS CLEAN AND SOPHISTICATED. DEFINATELY NOT A 'PUFFER' COAT SO I WAS A LITTLE CONCERNED ON HOW WARM IT WOULD KEEP ME. THIS IS PROBABLY THE WARMEST COAT I OWN, WITHOUT A BIG SWEATER UNDERNEATH! IT IS A LITTLE ON THE SLIM SIDE SO IF YOU DON'T WANT A FITTED LOOK, THIS MAY NOT BE THE COAT FOR YOU. HOWEVER, I'M VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE!

Extremely comfortable and warm jacket. The sleeves are perfect length for me but may be short in someone taller or with longer arms (5'2"). There is plenty of room in the shoulders and arms, the torso is fitted, the length is perfect. I do wish the fur on the hood was removable without removing the whole hood. The buttons over the zipper is not my favorite because that's a lot of buttons to buttons but it does stay shut without buttoning them.

So small! Bought a Large (typically a size 10, 36G, 165lbs) and I could barely get the zipper up with only a tshirt on. Wouldn’t work with a sweater.

I liked this jacket. It ran a little bit small. I didn’t end up keeping it because I found an Obermyer one I liked a little bit better but had I not ordered others to compare I would have probably kept this one and just sized up a size.
