Bought this 3in1 for my significance that resides in upstate New York. Was a perfect jacket for temps ranging from 0 degrees to 35 degrees. It has kept her warm and dry. We wish this jacket would have side vents but then again, this jacket wasn't meant for active snowboarders.

Overall: Really happy with the jacket--great at keeping out the wind, looks great, and I love that it's a 3-in-1 and the insulated hood. Like others say, the thumb holes and extra wrist coverage is awesome.
NB: This isn't listed in the description, but there IS a two-way zipper on this coat (outer shell, and outer + inner together, but not inner jacket alone). You can unzip it from the bottom to make it easier to sit while wearing. If it didn't have this feature, I wouldn't keep it.
On size: I'm 5'4", 135lb; usually a size small in tops and a 6 or 8 curvy petite in most pants. The size small fit me best in the torso and arms (the M was too baggy/frumpy). But when the jacket is totally zipped, it's a little snug in the hips and thighs--the M was a better fit here. With the small, I generally have to unzip a few inches from the bottom to give myself a bit more room. Unfortunately, the inner jacket when worn alone doesn't have this feature. Ultimately, I decided to keep the small and return the medium. Columbia, shape your longer coats for curvier people!
What I'd improve: I prefer hand pockets on the side, rather than in front. I find the front pockets a little awkward, but not a deal-breaker. Also, the main zipper can be a little tricky to get started.

I bought the Dark Nocturnal (navy blue) jacket and do not regret my purchase, It is lightweight, looks professional, very warm during snow days (temperature around the 20s), wet resistance and extremely comfortable. I got the size Large and fits great, not tight not too loose. Now I'm considering to get another color.

Definitely the quality Columbia is known for. I bought the XL and is big enough, just need a bit more room in the booty. Really like the warmth for this year's cold winter in Chicago!

I really like this coat. It's my third Columbia interchange jacket. It has lots of good features, like all of the pockets, the fleece-lined hood, and the drawcord waist. A major feature that isn't even mentioned in the description is the two-way zipper, which has been a drawback in past styles. My problem with this jacket, though, is the cuffs. I have short arms and small wrists, and the snap cuffs aren't nearly small enough. I'm trying to figure out a way to tighten them up (ideas, anyone?) If the cuffs had been more adjustable, I would have given it 5 stars.

I purchased this coat to replace my other Columbia winter coat (the hood was looking a little raggedy after 5 years of use). So far it has done well for these past two Wisconsin snowfalls, it repels water moisture and keeps me warm (I have only tested if for ~15 min in ~15F weather). The coat is very cute and comfortable. I ordered the black and its more of a dark, heathered charcoal up close. The small fits well 115 lb, 5'2".
My only complaint is that there are no pockets on the inside of the jacket. There are two pockets on each side of the front, and another small zippered pocket on the chest.

I got a lot of comments on how cute the jacket is and many of them were surprised that it's from Columbia. I usually wear S but I got M because I like it to be more spacious if I need to layer up or wear sweaters. The sleeves are kind of long, but it works well for me because it covers half of my hand (no need for gloves). The jacket keeps me warm, sometimes too warm, but not complaining.
Con: it's easier to spot stains because it's a lighter colored jacket.

I like the coat - it's very practical and quite warm, easy to care for, and quite attractive. My only wish would be that it were made a little longer so I can sit on it!!

I couldn't wait to get this jacket and I had been researching jackets for like a year when I found this one.The quality is great. The coat is so cute and I love all of the pockets. It is also very warm. I usually wear a small or medium so I went with a medium to give myself some extra room in case I wanted layer. It's a little smaller than I expected and didn't fit the way I expected,it's very tight at the bottom but the top fits
great. I am also very petite and have a very short torso which could be why the fit was off. I ordered the one in black but the color isn't a dark black it's more of a charcoal color. I was going to return for a large but I decided to keep it and I'm happy with it.

Overall, I'm very happy with this coat. The fleece lined hood is a nice touch. It's not terribly cold in Chicago yet, but if I wear both layers I'm usually sweating if it's above 35 degrees. I'm taking that as a good sign for when it gets below freezing! My only con with this coat is that the bottom of the outer shell doesn't have a lot of give, so it's sometimes a bit awkward to move around in (crouching, for instance). I also have kind of a long stride, and it slightly restricts that. But only slightly, so again: not a deal breaker for me. Also, detaching the inner lining is a little bit annoying. It's attached by a few clasps that hook on various points of the outer shell.
Size reference: I'm 5'2 and 145 lbs. I got a medium. I prefer things a bit more fitted.

Had been wearing this jacket at weather between 30 and 40 degree F, and felt perfectly warm. And it's completely dry inside despite waking outside with heavy rain.
Saw some previous reviews stating that this jacket runs a little big, so I got a XS while I'm normally wearing a X, it still runs a little big though, but I guess it is good that it will allow me to wear something thicker underneath when it gets colder.

I love the jacket but it runs large so I ended up returning. Will be ordering next size down

I wanted a removable hood, but thought it would work anyway until I discovered the fleece lining in the hood didn't come out. This kept it from being wearable spring through fall. I loved the coat and was very disappointed.

I haven't tried the jacket out for winter yet but so far the jacket is so nice. You can really feel the omni-heat layer's effectiveness. I like that theres two layer and I can just wear the inner layer during Fall. The outer layer is slightly larger and longer in terms of the sleeves and shoulder area. I'm about 4 ft 9" and am pretty short. But I like that the XS jacket stops at the upper mid of my thigh. But the inner layer fits my body better than the outer layer. I have sufficient space to add more layers between me and the jacket. Would actually like a smaller size.

Coat is light weight yet very warm. Runs a little small. could be more snaps around the fur on the hood. The pockets are missing the mark. It's a boxy look but keeps you very warm.

This coat is a 5 stars all the way with function. However, is a bit of a miss with color. I bought the Grey and it is in no way grey, more of a heather olive green. Okay, fine, I really don't mind the green BUT the inside of the coat is a shiny ORANGE, like in your face orange! Since the coat is out of stock and not available, I'm keeping it but I will never be wearing it unzipped.

Awkward zipper and location of pockets could be better, but it's comfortable and looks good. Omni-heat liner works well.

Product ran small and did not allow any extra wiggle room for base layers. I returned the jacket for this reason. I believe that it was a quality product and the seams seemed to be well manufactured (which is often my issue with coats).

I love the flexibility of the IC jackets. I've worn the liner with a hoody underneath in 30. Anything below that I throw on the full jacket. Great length too. I wish it had interior pockets but the large exterior ones make up for that. Also, I like the belted feature on the non IC carson pass, wish that was an option on this one as well. Although, you can cinch the waist with this one so that does help make it more form flattering. The hoody interior is super soft and i appreciate the thumb holes in the liner. They're made out of very soft material so they're comfy to wear. Overall, I would definitely buy again.
