I have 3 of these jackets. My first one was bought years ago and not an active fit, but had more room in the medium size. The hood also wasn't a fuzzy hood. The 2nd one I bought a couple of years ago and that one is about the same except the stitching is more diagonal than straight across. The 3rd one is the one I bought recently and that one has a fuzzy hood (which I love), diagonal stitching like the one pictured, BUT the active fit is a bit more snug in the medium in this one than the other 2 that I've bought...a little disappointing. So, I may have to go up a size just so I can wear a thicker sweater with this one. Overall, I think you can guess that I love this jacket because it's lightweight and warm. I don't move around well in bulky jackets and this is perfect. I'm 5'7" and 145lbs and I bought mediums in all 3 jackets. I also live in Chicago and it holds up well to the winters here.

Thin, comfortable, warm and try to size. Very flattering.

Ughhh this runs so so so small. I got a large for my kid who is normally a Medium and had to return for an XL.

Jacket had nice fit. Im 5 feet, 112lbs and bought a small. I maybe could've done XS but I thought.. layering. The reason why I sent it back was bc of the shiney, aluminum foil like interior of the jacket. I dunno.. for me, it gave it like a cheap look to it. I couldn't get over it and its not like anyone would be seeing it all the time unless I wore it unzipped. Nice jacket, warm, fit well.. couldn't get over the aluminum foil look. Its also more of a dull black, not as rich as in the picture.

Ran very big on me (125lbs 5’6) M. Wish I would have returned it but I removed the tags.

I read a bunch of reviews before I decided to buy this jacket. I was worried about the sizing since I wear a 36G and I wanted to make sure it would zip over my chest. I decided to buy a size larger than I usually would (I usually wear a large) and I'm glad I did. I would definitely buy a size larger if you have a bigger chest. It is a tad bit long in the arms and a little in the back, but not bad enough that I can't wear it. It feels very sturdy but soft at the same time. I'm 5'2 and it falls a little bit below my hips.

This jacket is true to size. I was worried about arm length but it is plenty long enough and the hidden thumb hole sleeves are an added bonus. I do wish it was a bit more insulated. I was still cold in 30 degree weather, but 38 and above its perfect for.

This coat is exactly what I needed. It's not heavy but still keeping me warm. Cute style and not bulky. It runs a bit small though. I'd say order up only if you plan to wear bulky sweaters or sweatshirts, layers underneath. Otherwise it "just" fits. Over all I would recommend this coat. My daughter also has this jacket and she loves it as she does not like puffy, bulky coats at all.

Nice jacket, good length. Color is a little dull. Did not keep my arms as warm as other Columbia jackets of similar make.

The arm sleeves were slightly too tight while the torso fit very loose, so unfortunately I had to return it because I wouldn't be able to layer with this jacket. I generally wear size large jackets. However, the jacket was incredibly warm and the black cherry color is very beautiful. I stayed very warm in 30 degree weather with just a light long sleeve underneath. I returned this jacket for another Columbia jacket that had a better fit.

Love this jacket, but for me I ordered a medium and it was to small, so I recommend sizing up.

For the most part, I like it a lot. I am 5' and wearing a small. There are only 3 things I think I would love for the manufacturer/designer to change: 1) additional pockets on the inside of jacket. There is a small one with zipper which is very nice to have, but I would love for it to be an inch or 2 bigger on both directions. 2) the 2 pockets on the sides of jackets are a little too shallow for me. I often have phones, keys, etc. And they tend to hang out a little which makes me worry. There are zippers which is nice, but I can't put my hands inside the pockets if I zip them up. 3) this is the worse of all that annoying me everyday. The zipper is on the wrong side. Often you insert and line up with one hand and then pull with other hand to create the opposite direction. This is very awkward, I have to insert and line up, then switch hand to pull up the zipper. It doesn't have anything to do with being a lefthand or righthanded. The jacket is lightweight. It's in the 30s F and I wear a short sleeves inside with this jacket outside walking for 20 minutes outside without feeling cold where the jacket covers. It's water resistant and have nice hand/wrist cuffs that helps with the draft. The hood is nice but it doesn't stay on my head long when I walk around. I keep having to pull it up, not sure if it's me or the jacket itself. It's comfortable when sitting in the car with seatbelt on. Outside materials is soft.

I loved the fit, but unfortunately, it wasn't a true olive green color as it was called. It is more brown in color. But thanks to Zappos, it was an easy return.

Good for mild climate. I find I need to have an extra layer for more of the colder days. Notice the stitching threads (which makes the nice pattern) is coming loose. Not sure if this can be fixed as part of the warranty. Good fit true to size.

super cute and I think would work great as a top layer. I wore with a T-shirt on a cold night and it didn't keep me warm when I was just sitting and I was cold but worked great when I was moving around. Also I think would be great with an under layer but definitely size up for that as it was a tad more trim than I expected.

I ordered the chalk color and I love it. It is very warm and stylish, not too bulky. My only complaint would be I wish it were more fitted in the stomach area. I feel it's too loose and makes me look larger than I actually am. I may have needed an extra small but I was worried it would be too tight in the shoulders and arms and I want to be able to wear sweaters underneath. Overall a really nice coat! I'm 5'6 and 135 lbs and I ordered the small.

Great jacket, very feminine fit. I have slightly larger upper body and it's hard to find a jacket that fits well on top and isn't too loose on bottom to block cold winter wind. This is a great jacket for that - similar to Columbia's Frostfecta jacket I used to love. Omni-heat is very warm and yet the jacket is slim, makes me feel a lot less frumpy in the wintertime and allows for easy driving. The hand protection built into the jacket is pretty fantastic too. I'm usually between a M and a L for jackets (strong M for shirts), and medium was a nicer fit. Snug but still allowed a thick sweater or a fleece to be layered underneath if needed. Hood is big enough to stay over a hat, but otherwise comfortable. Jacket did show a rip in the seam by the hood within 2 weeks of wear, Zappos customer service was superb and replaced the jacket for me ASAP. A+ service as usual. Second jacket is holding up super well, as expected from Columbia brand.

Waterproof, the omni heat protection technology does its bit. The only hiccup is the size. Its runs a little large so size down. I used this while skiing, and it worked great. Of-course do layer up under this jacket for the warmth to stay intact. Also, the red is not what is shown here, its more darker and duller.

Even tho it ran a little small And has to get a bigger size. I love this jacket! I had to get a good jacket since I'm moving somewhere where it snows and it gets in the negatives. I totally recommend!

This coat is very warm and lightweight. It runs true to size. I am usually a small, but I got a medium so there would be room to layer underneath. I have not tried this coat below 30 degrees yet, but I think it will be very warm.

I love this jacket and got it in Olive since it was on sale :) I really love the warmth! I wore it when it was drizzling and it's not only keeping me dry but warm too. Really like the thumb hole too. Overall it's a nice warm jacket, i just wish the fit is a little better for me. I got the XS but the sleeve is a little long and somehow overall fit is kinda loose.. mostly because i am small frame, it'd be awesome if they make a petite sizing too in the future. I still keep the jacket though!

I originally bought this jacket in a Med but it was small across the chest* when zipped so I traded it for a Large. I think the Large is a hair big on me but it's ok since it leaves me lots of room to layer. I love the Omni-heat and this is my 3rd coat with it. You can't go wrong with this jacket. *5'8", 155, 36A
