I love this coat but it doesn't really run true to size. I wear a lot of thick sweaters and layers and initially ordered an XL (usually I'm a large or XL in clothes) and the shoulders are super tight when I have anything thicker than a T-shirt on. Obviously people wear a lot of thicker sweatshirts and sweaters in the winter. I have the 2X now which fits my shoulders better but is bigger everywhere else. I figure coats are supposed to be big so it's fine but not exactly ideal. Quality is really nice, though.

Lightweight but very warm, perfect for winter. Wish it had a little heavier duty zipper tho.Bought because of great reviews from friends who have this coat & am very pleased with it.

This is a great looking jacket, but most reviews said fit was "TTS", I say it runs large! I'm giving a 4 Star review only because there are no exchanges, only returns! I hope they change that policy!

I was looking for a new coat to wear to work daily, I have two young boys and have to get them to school and daycare in the morning, so wanted a coat that is flexible, light-weight but warm for MN winters. This coat is perfect! I love the color I got, black cherry, and the hood is nicely lined with soft velvet fabric. The sleeves are slippery inside, and the coat has the Omni-heat to keep me warm. I'd say the only things I don't love about it are the double zipper, you can zip it upwards from the bottom to have more leg room, not necessary for me, and I don't love that the thumb hole fabric is there, it's very difficult to get gloves on because that makes it bulky. Other than that, I love this coat! I ordered a 1x and I am 5'4" and 185lbs with a larger chest and behind.

Love everything about this coat! I live in the northeast and this is the perfect coast for our snowy winters! My only compliant is the stitching on thumb cuffs it's already started to fray.

Love this jacket. Very warm but light and comfortable. A little roomier than expected. However, the double zipper is terrible! It either sticks or is impossible to get properly seated to zip. It makes for a struggle to get the coat on and off. Not sure what I can do to make it less of a pain. Had I noticed the issue sooner, I would have returned it.

My coat was delivered the day before we had a few days of extremely cold weather. It was very warm. I sized up a size so I could wear bulky sweaters underneath, and it works well. I've had trouble in the past finding a coat that is warm but isn't bulky. I finally found it in this coat. The only issue I have is the double zipper. It has to be aligned just right or you can't zip it. Other than the zipper issue, I love this coat.

I love my new Heavenly Long Hooded Jacket. It is very light in weight, and very warm. However, it is very hard to zip and unzip:(

This jacket is light and warm. The size makes it great for travel, but it holds up to cold temperatures and a wind chill in both northeastern New England and Germany.

After much research, I decided this was the coat I needed. Winter has been extreme in the midwest this year and because I deal with some chronic health issues, I am more sensitive to the cold (and heat). I knew I wanted this coat mainly because of the length and the omni heat. I went to a local outlet to buy one only to find they were very limited on sizes and didn't have one that worked. I typically wear an XL in most clothing, but knowing that Columbia sizes typically run small, I used the size chart for this product, even measured myself and then ordered the 2X. I wanted it to be large enough to allow for bulky sweaters or sweatshirts underneath, but the 2X was HUGE. I did return the 2X and ordered the 1X and it fits PERFECTLY! It fits well enough to provide the extra heat from the omni heat interior lining, but I can still wear bulky layers underneath without it being too tight. The coat itself is so light and comfortable and keeps me so warm. I love that the hood is lined with a soft material, but it would be nice if the hood could cinch down when needed. I get compliments often when wearing this coat, so I appreciate the stylish design of it as well. If you need a longer winter coat that is functional, yet stylish, this could be a great match for you. I LOVE MINE!!!

So the color and fit is perfect. It looks great its very light and comfy. Does keep you warm. One thing I was disappointed with was the water resistance. I know its not waterproof but a smaller drizzle or heavier rains with my hood on I can feel the wetness on my entire back. My clothes underneath get wet and its not a pleasant feeling. Even the omni-heat doesn't help. I wear it when its dry weather. I like the fact that the hood is smaller so it stays on your head despite windy days.

My girl friend loves this (hey, I've borrowed it, VERY WARM for no heavier than it is) but she says and I agree it the hood needs a draw-string. And the inside "flap" behind the zipper should be about a half inch wider. Next time you'll get it right.

This is the perfect autumn jacket, and probably early spring. It's warm, but definitely not warm enough for winter. I made the mistake of wearing this out to the bus stop on a cold (30F), windy day and I was miserable. It's fine if you layer with sweaters underneath, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a warm, winter jacket. This jacket fits true to size.

The jacket fits well and is a good light weight jacket. Not quite warm enough for winter weather.

i live in a suburb and work in a major city so i need to take the train in and then walk a mile in all weather. so i needed something lightweight and not bulky but warm and covering down to my knees. this jacket ran a little large but i didnt mind that since it will fit over bulkier clothes.

Bought this coat for my wife to stand outside for car duty at her school. She loves the length and that it is so lightweight. She says its very warm without the bulk. It runs a bit small in the chest. We ordered an XL but had to move up to the 1X.

Keeps me nice and warm on chili day. The length is great for keeping you upper and lower body warm, from the wind and cold.

I was weary of the size because I upped so I could layer and it's the right size with out being bulky. Also I love that the lenghth is what I wanted as well basically is right above me know. Ps am short but over all great coat if someone like me wants to stay warm with out the heaviness off regular winter coats

Love this coat! I bought it in a size bigger than I normally wear so I could wear heavier layers underneath. The jacket was way too big so sadly I had to send it back. What I found out was that the jacket was so warm I didn't need thick layers underneath it to stay warm. Will purchase in my normal size.

Overall, it's a nice coat. But, at this price point, I expected to be raving. The most frustrating part about this coat is the zipper. You can't be in a hurry because it takes a while to get the zipper to catch. It's pretty annoying. Besides that, I find the coat alright. I'm not blown away (by the look or comfort), but I don't really know what I was expecting. It's pretty cold today (in the 20s) and the only parts of my body that felt cold were the parts not covered by the coat. And at the end of the day, that's the point. So, I am impressed with the warmth, especially considering how lightweight the coat is.

This is so comfortable and warm. I love the thumb holes, the color, the length, and the internal pocket. However, after having only worn this for a week, a loose thread has created a hole. It's not in an area that is easy to snag and I've not been rough with it, so it's disappointing.

I love having a longer jacket with a hood on those colder days. The cuff that keeps the wind out is a plus too. I've had a number of jackets with the Omni-heat inside. While I feel like I'm wearing an incognito "disco" jacket, I appreciate how much warmth it adds, allowing the jacket to be lighter. That said, in the plus sizes, at least for me, they are HUGE in the back at the waist. Those of you who have had trousers or jeans that gap in the back at the waist know what I mean. You can even see it (at least in the chalk color) on the model. Please, please consider fixing that! I sized up this year because my previous jacket was getting tight, and even the size that's too small elsewhere has the dreaded gap.

Purchased the same coat 4 years ago...fit great. This one runs small and the sleeves seem to be shorter.
