First of all this coat is definitely not water resistant. When the rain hit my coat, I immediately felt the cold dampness on my skin. I have had this coat for a good year, and with this being my second one do to stitching issues, I'm having the issue again with stitching. Coat definitely does not feel insulated forcing me to wear fleece under it. Got a little wet in the rain omw to work this morning and now getting off of work, the coat still has a chill to it on my skin. Coat does not stand up to the cold weather/rain of the Windy City. But I do like the length, thumb holes and lining around the neck and hood and also the zip up pockets.

This is a great parka but the medium runs like a small.

This coat was everything as advertised, but I was debating on what size to get. I read the reviews and based on women who posted reviews that were a similar size to me, I went with a medium. The jacket was too big in the mid-section. I understand the reason that people want to layer underneath, but you wouldn't have to layer underneath if it fit tight to your body and held in your body heat. I am 5'7" and weigh 145 pounds. I needed a small in this jacket and when I went to re-order in that size, Columbia was all out.

I purchased this jacket hoping it would keep me warm but I'm still very cold in it even having a bulky sweater under it and the temperature is 44 degrees Fahrenheit in New York City. Wish I knew it wouldn't keep me warm, I would have brought a different jacket.

I really like this jacket, however it just was not what I was looking for. I need a substantial winter coat for Michigan winters that can easily get into the teens with wind chill. It was extremely well fitting and cute, and loved the thumb holes on the sleeves so that cold air does not go up your sleeves. Unfortunately I just knew it would not be warm enough. As a late winter/early spring/late fall this would be a good jacket. It seemed to mimic a winter coat, but just wasn't quite that. If you are looking for one for the above mentioned seasons, I highly recommend it. As soon as temps hit mid-30s and below, it doesn't seem warm enough.

I bought this based on the reviews of others saying that this coat was really warm. Coat is VERY thin and the Omni heat does little to keep you warm. The style and fit of the jacket is great, just not functional for Minnesota winters.

I've purchased many Columbia coats prior. Although I love the fit, the double zipper is of very poor quality for a Columbia coat. I'm sending this one back for a return. But it might be the same I compared it to my other coats and overall the zipper is lighter and not as sturdy and hard to engage to zip and unzip.

Bought this same jacket 6 years ago in XS, and it wore beautifully. Needed to replace it so ordered same color, same XS size (I'm a size 2), and though the label says XS, it fits like a Medium would. So tired of companies who keep adjusting their sizes - such a quality jacket, but have to return now, at my expense, because the company could not stay consistent with their sizes as they cater to an ever-expanding body type. Really resent the fact that I am out of the shipping charge both ways through no fault of mine. And it still leaves me without a jacket- they have no smaller sizes.

I recieved this jacket yesterday. It is a total disappointment, not warm at all. And to add to that I paid $24 more than now priced!

Fits small, I always wear L, but this one i returned.

Runs small. Had to return. Wish coats would not come in S M and L as every other size is skipped this way. For example, one store's M is 10-12 which means it's a 12 so if you're a 10, it's too big;, but if you size down to S, which is 6-8, meaning it is an 8, it's too small. This sizing offers only a 50% chance of a fit. I don't know what the size range is for Columbia but my usual size of S is too small in Columbia coats and fits like a size XS but a M is too large. It's nice to have a down coat that has diagonal stitching to not widen a woman's shape. I'd say it's worth a shot to see if it fits. I also ordered the warmer version of this coat, but the sizing is consistent and too small.

I ordered the camel brown heavenly long hooded jacket with the ivory fleece on the hood and thumbholes. I received the jacket but there was no ivory...it was all brown. I called and explained the problem, they sent me another jacket and I received exactly the same as before. I have this same jacket in other colors but really disappointed in this one.

Jacket feels and is light weight. I love the warm hood that is attached. My main concern with the jacket is that the zipper is of poor quality. It comes with a double zipper- which I normally love, but the top zipper on this jacket was getting stuck with my first initial try on of the jacket! I thought it was a fluke and zipped it up again and when trying to remove the jacket, it was stuck at the bottom again to the point I had to step down over the jacket to get it off! High quality jacket, poor quality zippers.

Beautiful jacket. Unfortunately too small in underarms and too big in hood

The inside of the jacket looks like tinfoil. I know that's meant to keep you warm, but it's SO SHINY! If you unzip it at all, the shiny lining is really obvious and distracting. The sizing is off - the site and reviews recommended to size up, but the recommended size is a full two sizes too big for me. I have a bust measurement of 40 and should have ordered a large; the XL is really baggy.

The jacket was too small, sent it back. I liked it though. Probably will order another size.

I thought this ran a bit small. 42" chest with a sweatshirt on and it was tight around the bust. I reordered and XL and it fit better around the bust but was a wee bit big everywhere else. The sleeves were too long on the XL so I have to roll them up about an inch. I find that all Columbia sleeves run long. The front slash pockets are shallow and there are no inside pockets.

Can’t really review it. I couldn’t close it over my chest. I wear an XL in everything. This fit me like a medium. Very disappointed.

I bought it Feb2022 and I was happy with that. I have 3 jackets and use them alternetively and I almost use it till March 2022 and yesterday I used it for the first time this fall and the zip stucked and I could not take it out from my body and two people helped me with that. I hope the WARRANTY SUPPORT can help me with that. I would not expect this from Colombia since this is an expensive brand.

It was a beautiful, light weight jacket but too snug in chest area. It zipped up fine and felt like it could be very warm without the bulk. It’s too expensive to keep and not have it fit properly in chest. Wanted to love it but it’s going back to Zappos.

Jacket is light and warm true to size. Only thing is Columbia send me not brand new jacket. Sleeve trim were dirty and smelled oddly. It might be worn and returned jacket or hanged in store ages. I can not return it. Because I got it in my final destination Mongolia.

Not a warm coat has the thin warm later inside ..... You have any condition

I went a size up as suggested and the coat was still to fitted to wear over winter clothes. I'm going to return it.

Jacket is nice but the zipper is awful. We returned the first jacket because the zipper didn't work, and the 2nd jacket we ordered isn't much better. For the money we spent at n the jacket, we expected much more in terms of zipper quality. Very disappointing.

This jacket was disappointing. First it is very thin, and not as warm as I expected. It feels like a spring jacket to me, not a winter coat. I put it on around the house and was about as warm as I am in a fleece, except with the addition of coverage around my hips which made it warmer. There is no rating as to warmth and most people don't say what temps they are wearing it at, so it is hard to tell how warm a coat is from the web site. My winters are 0-30 degrees F regularly, and I can't have a thin coat like this. Seems good for the 40-50 range. Regarding fit, the arms are cut really high underneath, leaving no room for good layering. There isn't adequate space under the arm for other clothing to be comfortable. I tried this coat over a thin cotton long sleeve shirt, and felt like the coat was pushing up under my arms. Definitely no room for sweaters or thicker shirts. The zipper was also very difficult, as mentioned by other reviewers. You can do it, but it is the sort of zipper that is going to take 3-4 tries every single time. I sent it back (and of course I'm out the shipping costs).
