Love this jacket. It's comfy and light. The fact that it can pack into its own pocket is amazing because I'm all about finding ways to travel as light as possible!

This is a great product. It's lightweight enough to not be constrictive, yet provides premium warmth when used properly. It can be used with just a t-shirt underneath in cool environments, or with proper layering, it can be the perfect or layer in frigid conditions. Very stylish and functional. I love it.

Great light weight jacket and packs in a pocket for travel. Love the jacket the only thing I would change is I would add an upper pocket in the chest with a head phone pass through. I like to keep my phone in my upper pocket rather than a side pocket.

I tied all the top jackets from Arcteryx to Patagonia. This was the most comfortable and versitle of the bunch. Other jackets like the Atom LT fell too short to my waist and the hood collar was uncomfortable and the Patagonia jackets too boxy. This is the 2016 model the updated and is more trim than the prior model in my opinion which I like. I am 5'10 150 and it is a tad boxy on me wearing a medium.

I really like this jacket because it looks good and will keep you warm on cold snowy days walking across campus and is not to hot when you walk inside. It also works well as a rain jacket because it drys fast. The only down side to this jacket is that it can rip fairy easy if something snags it (such as briers) and you also need to be carful when by a camp fire because an ember will burn a hole it the jacket. This shouldn't deter you from purchasing this jacket though because if your rough on them they are easy to patch up and just add some character in my opinion.

I purchased this jacket for my husband as a birthday gift so he would have a utility coat that was highly packable and would meet the needs of any weather we encountered on our upcoming European vacation. He loved it! He liked the hood option and found the jacket exceeded all his needs.

I was looking for a winter jacket that's lightweight and not restricting- this jacket is exactly that. I'm still unsure if the jacket will keep me warm enough in temps below 30 degrees.
I'm a woman and I had to buy a men's jacket since the cut on the women's was so narrow at the waist.

My husband loves this jacket. It's that great "in-between" jacket, when it's too cold for a hoodie and way to hot for a down jacket with three layers.
He's pretty much been wearing this jacket for the month of Decemeber, so far. The fit is great and the material is so light-weight.

For years my teenage son wouldn't wear jackets or coats, even in 10 degree winters because they don't look cool. But then he'd get cold. When I showed him this jacket on the website he gave the thumbs up that it looked cool enough to wear. It gets my thumbs up because it keeps him warm.
Our winters are unpredictable so the fact that this jacket can ball up and stow away in a backpack is great for those layer days. I was happy to buy him a coat he'll actually wear.
He's already gotten it pretty dirty hiking and it also washes well.

Bought this hoodie last year since I needed a waterproof hoodie that also provides warmth. I love the North Face brand and have at least 5 different jackets/coats but the Thermo Ball is new to me. Ordered it online and first thing I noticed is how thin it is but it is very light and you barely notice the weight when you wear it. Regarding the fit, I ordered small and although the sleeves are ok, the length of the hoodie is a little long with regards to the other parts of the jacket. Good for extra coverage but I wasn't really expecting it. From my experience, it's water resistant but not water proof unlike HyVent. If you stand in a continuous pour, it will get saturated and eventually water will get absorb. Lastly and the most important for me at least, although wind protection is adequate, the hoodie is not as warm as I would hope. This is VERY subjective and greatly depends on the user/wearer but I'm saying this based on the Thermo Ball idea or concept that it's a new form of light weight, water resilient, eco- friendly substitute to old regular goose down. Despite of this, I still love this hoodie and just been using it with long sleeve shirt for "additional" warmth because it is very light, stylish and just looks good on you. Got the NF Apex Elevation jacket this year when the weather is not that crazy cold and the shell is just awesome. When it's get super cold I have my trusty duo of Ice and Titan jackets!

Only four stars because I haven't' owned it long enough to test quality and durability. I'm 5' 9" and weigh 165 lbs and the small fits fine. Had to return the medium because it was too big. That was the only strange thing with this jacket. I am medium with every other outer wear I have bought including The North face.
I bought this jacket to wear as a tweener. My winter North face Jacket is too hot for casual activities like walking into work or hiking on a crisp fall day. This jacket is perfect for most activities. If it's real cold and your going to be out in the elements for awhile I would recommend a heavier North face jacket.

Great jacket. Wish it had more pockets though. Nice and lightweight. Keeps me warm on the go. Also a little pricey, but worth it.
