Living in new England the weather can change drastically from the morning, afternoon into the night. This 1 jacket can accommodate any of these times. From a cold rainy morning to a sunny warm afternoon into a freezing cold night this jacket will work. Haven't had any problems with zippers or cords through 2 years of use. If you live in a cold climate you know layering is key. Don't expect to go out in a blizzard with a tee shirt and this jacket and think you'll be fine.

I purchased this jacket for my son and he loves having the option to wear one or both of the jackets. The outer shell is great for the rain and the down jacket is perfect for cold mornings.

I use The North Face jacket for snow skiing and I have always been happy with its warmth and comfort. I lost my last one and the next winter I did not have a jacket that provided the warmth, comfort, and fit as The North Face I previously owned. I bought this jacket knowing it would be great for all three and I was absolutely right. I just assumed a medium since that was the size of my previous jacket. Turns out I was right. There was no difference between the two so I would say there clothing is true to size. Warm, comfortable, and stylishhappy once again thanks to The North Face!

I got this as a gift for my husband and he loves it! When he think it's too hot he just wears the under layer!! It sure does keep him warm. He loves it and used it almost everyday, especially during these cold days here in California!

Very warm, and awesome color. I use it for all seasons since each layer can be removed and worn separately. I use to have the older model of the triclimate but i upgraded to this one. I had the older model for over 10+ years.

Use it for skiing. Keep warm even at 10F. All I need is just this one jacket. Not too bulky and fits well.

This is a solid investment. The jacket is nice enough for day to day activities, but it will also do well in the outdoors. Can't go wrong with a waterproof shell and the second down puffy jacket is an added bonus. Great for layering!

This coat is very warm. Even with just a tshirt on underneath, this jacket keeps me perfectly warm in 20 degree weather. Since it also doubles as a rain coat i have gotten alot of use out of this jacket. Very happy with my purchase.

Before the winter began, I had mentally mapped out which jackets I would at what temperature ranges. From 30 to 50 degrees F, the jackets and layer combinations worked as planned. Once the temperatures fell into the 20 degrees F and below, my cold weather jacket and midlayer failed to keep the cold air from going through. After some trial and error, I realized that a North Face triclimate jacket with down insulation coupled with a fleece midlayer jacket offered me a reasonably priced way to stay warm outside in temperatures down to 17 degrees F. For temperatures below that, I would wear a heavier fleece midlayer. This is my go to jacket for days when the Arctic blast rolls in.

Overall great fit and good looking jacket. Took it out in the snow, felt like a little dampness came through up towards the shoulder area, could be me. Like the fact it has multiple uses as a rain jacket, down jacket or combination.

I bought my husband this jacket for Valentine's day and he loves it. It keep him warm in the winter and when spring comes he can shed the first layer off and stay cool with the under coat. Highly recommend.

Living in Boston with winter temps in 20's - low 40's, but also wanted something to handle cold Wisconsin winters (single digits). About the coat: lightweight body without bulk, keeps me warm, and excellent at keeping the wind out. I commute and this coat is great for when in the car, on a train, or in a store shopping because it isn't bulky and has arm-pit zippers which can be opened when you want extra breathability. Where this coat excels is its ability to keep the wind out; it has bungee cords around the waist with quick adjusts which pull snug to make a great wind-proof seal. The attached hood has the same quick adjust to make a nice snug fit. I've used this coat on cold days (single digits), rainy days, and all-day for skiing -- it's kept me warm and happy in all conditions. Very versatile coat. 5' 8" 145lbs, I wear medium shirts & sweatshirt but got this coat in a small (fits perfect). I ordered a medium and it was too big for me, fyi.

Excellent Jacket for NYC winter, well insulated and only if it came in Aviator navy but urban navy is close enough
