I bought this jacket for everyday cold weather wear when I'm visiting colder parts of the country, and it feels and looks great.

This is a great jacket. It is water resistant and wind proof. Bought it for the cold winter season and it does what is advertised. There are cheaper jackets available but this is well worth the money spent and will last a long time.

My son is a boy who doesn't like layers. This coat will keep him dry, not so bulky and dry! Love, love it!

Nice in cold, wet environments!

I was looking for a versatile jacket I could wear in both cool weather and the bitter cold. Right after the jacket arrived, I tested it out and it passed with flying colors! The jacket kept me incredibly warm and dry in snowy weather. I also love that I can take off the outer layer and wear it as a light jacket when it warms up.

Bought this coat for my son. He loves it! Definitely worth the money since it's 3 coats in 1. Great windbreaker/raincoat for the spring or fall. The inner coat is perfect when it gets a little colder. And when the temps drop (like they can do quickly in Iowa) put them together and you're guaranteed to stay warm.

My first North Face product. This jacket fits really well, is very comfortable and warm in below freezing weather here in Michigan. Overall I am very satisfied with this product so far.

It's typically difficult to find a coat fit for a bad winter that actually looks stylish. It's always a compromise between suffering the elements or suffering your sense of style. I'm really pleased that this coat seems to bridge the gap. I received it just before our weather was consistently around 22F and it's been a lifesaver. Removing the outer shell gives you a great-looking low-profile down jacket that can work well in a cold restaurant and don't want to feel like you're still in your bulky outer layer. I think this is the first time I've been in love with a winter coat.

For work on the ranch.

The jacket was as promised; quality you would expect from a prominent outfitter. Stitching was solid and the material felt durable. My wife and I are avid hikers, but the Midwest weather always put a damper on our winter outings. With a jacket as warm, light and durable as this, and backed by a lifetime manufacturer's warranty, I feel very confident in cold weather camping and hiking. The arm pit vents are a nice touch too! When I ordered the jacket I used the measurement guide to find my size, I was on the bigger side of the large, but went ahead and ordered it anyways. Turns out I should've ordered the X Large. I promptly ordered the XL and returned the large. Had the garment more room in the chest and shoulders, I would have kept it. My fault, not North Face's.

I've very pleased with my purchase. It's the first winter coat I've bought in 6 years. I've been wearing a hand me down from my Dad. I really like the coat.

My boyfriend loved the jacket. I bought this jacket for him originally as a jacket for fall, but since the inner piece is detachable, he feels that he can even wear it and be warm in the winter under snow! The outer shell is a little big for him when he wears it by itself, since it has to fit the inner jacket inside it, but it's no problem.

My son will put it to a lot of use.

this the best jacket I ever bought and also let me tell you about how good the north face customer service is.....I had a mishap on their behalf and they refunded me in full and gave me the coat I ordered no charge!!!! they recognized their mistake and gave me the coat and refunded me over 200 cash!!! Love how there is a jacket separate from the outer shell. Jacket is good to wear by itself and then I can use the outer liner as a rain jacket or together In the winter.

Didn't think it would be warm without being thick. I was wrong. Definitely thin enough to be warm without the bulk. Nice feel.
