Outstanding jacket! It is a Christmas present so don't have a lot of details on wear but it is very light weight and extremely comfortable when we tried it on. Very satisfied with the coat.

This is a great jacket. I haven't gotten to use it much because it's been uncharicteristically warm. But the little I have used it it seems too warm for the conditions, low 60s at night, but it breathes incredibly well. It's also very comfortable and light weight and looks good

What a fun color! I got the conquer blue and it was fabulous! My husband loved it and it works well for him when he goes out for his short work out in the morning hours. We are both enjoying this new jacket!

HOLY. COW. This is the most comfortable and cozy active jacket I've ever owned. It quite literally is the best layer I've put on. I wear it pretty much every morning and night.

This is a great option for springtime weather when it's a little brisk around 50 dergrees the combination material provides breathable fleece on the sides and arms and the rest of the jacket is insulated. It feels flexible and would be good for athletic activities.

Verified PurchaseReview for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I bought this to run a half marathon on the Lake Michigan waterfront. The temp was about 4F and light winds. I wore this over a long sleeve polyester run shirt. I usually am between a medium and a large(5'9" 180lbs) and I got the large, as it was supposed to be colder and I wanted to layer. With the temp and set up I had, I probably would have used a medium. I was comfortable temp-wise. I sweat a lot while running so there isn't really a magic coat to wick all the moisture away but I was not swamped in this coat while running. I will say that I felt cold outside waiting for the race to begin. For walking around I would have wanted another layer underneath. I would say that for running, I would want the smaller size just because my phone and the gels I had in the pockets did bounce around and with the medium it would have been closer to my body. I got a little warm on the way back, as the temp rose about 5 degrees and the wind was at my back but I was not roasting. For cold running it's a coat for between 10F and colder as it insulates well during activity. I have tried the patagonia nano air coat and I feel like the patagonia may wick and little better and is slightly less bulky but it's $50-70 more expensive for a slight difference so I went with the north face.

Nothing wrong with the jacket (other than it fit too small), I just didn't care for the fabric.

I've had this jacket for about one week, and absolutely love it so far. Fit is good, and the short amounts of time I've spent outside, it has kept me warm and away from the wind. My one and only complaint is that the main zipper pull is microscopic. There is an attached string/cord to assist, but you can't get the zipper started with that. I'm not kidding to say that my 8 year old's jackets have larger zipper pulls. It's rather comedic to see these on an adult's jacket. That being said, I really do like the Ventrix jacket.

I would give it a full 5 stars if it also came in a normal "classic" fit instead of just Slim. I'm 5'11" 180# and the large fits nice except up in the shoulders, trying to bring my arms together felt like I would rip it in half like on Tommy Boy! I wanted a jacket to throw over a tshirt on chilly mornings so this one is a little loose on me(probably will fit perfect later this fall with a hoodie)but for the price it's definitely worth it because, well, it is a NF.

Nice fabric, great clean fit easy to climb in on cold days. Bulky and doesn't pack down.

I like the jacket a lot. The only issue is the one I received is a slim fit. I don't know if that is normal. The slim fit kind of restricts the bulkiness of the shirt I wear under it.

I use it for casual and travel wear. The jacket is very comfortable as a soft-shell and seem to regulate your temperature well. Being that I'm 5'6" and need to have a medium, the sleeves are a little long but manageable for me.

The Ventrix is a well constructed and handsome jacket. It breathes very well. If you are moving and generating body heat I think it would keep you warm into the 20's, or colder. If you are not moving vigorously, the comfort range is closer to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The jacket is very light and comfortable. It sheds wind well, but not as effectively as a goretex shell. I'm 6 feet tall and around 180 lbs.; a large fits me well.

Overall I like this jacket. I bought this as a replacement for an Arcteryx atom and the material is similar and provides great warmth. My only complaint would be the sleeves. They are a little long and the cuffs are just loose enough that I worry overtime they will stretch out and no longer grip my wrist. Other than that the jacket has a nice amount of stretch and is very light but warm.

It is incredibly warm, especially for how light it is. I have a -2 ape index, which makes the sleeves slightly too long (hence 4 instead of 5 stars), but still just short enough to not be obvious. I haven't really used the jacket in a high activity environment yet to see just how breathable the VENTRIX system is, but I can vouch for its warmth. The jacket is super stretchy but not at the expense of durability. I will warn you, I got the "conquer blue" color which is far more green than the pictures. It's honestly a way cooler color than the picture in my opinion, but if you're expected a lighter gray, you will be surprised.

Simply put this jacket is a most have for anyone who works out but doesn't like to get over heated. The ventilation in this jacket is superb definitely looking forward to cold weather without hesitation.

I use it to wear to work a lot. I work in SF so weather is pretty wet/cold most days in this season. This jacket comes in handy and fits as a good top layer over some warmer layers.

Fit was good - I ended up with Ventrix. The Ventrix is very flexible, slim fit, and can pack easily if you travel. I'm 5-10, 185, muscular- large is perfect.
