This jacket is quickly becoming one of my favorite layering pieces as well as an everyday around town jacket. I am 6'4" 185lbs and the size large that I ordered fits me perfectly. The sleeves are the perfect length which is a spot I usually have trouble with at my size. The jacket is unbelievably comfortable and I actually forget I am wearing it most of the time. The stretchy fabric makes it so that it never feels like it is restricting my motion which is a huge deal for me. So far I have worn this(and been comfortable) anywhere from about 40 degrees down to the upper teens with a light fleece underneath. I have had it in winds up to about 20mph and have not been able to feel any wind through the jacket. The DWR has so far proven to be effective in the light drizzle I have exposed it to. I must also add that the zippers on the jacket are great the main zipper goes up and down so easily it almost makes you think it isn't working. If you can't already tell overall I am extremely pleased with the jacket. There is not really one thing that I think I would change, which is not something I can really say about any other jacket that I own.

The fit varies. I heard people with my height getting a Large and liked it but for me I had to get a xl to have a bit more room for moving around.

I use this jacket for everyday casual attire, and for working in an industrial building which is prone to becoming very cold in the winter. The nature of my job requires me to constantly be on the move. I seem to never be hot and never be cold. I don't know how they've done it. You will LOVE this jacket.

I've taken this jacket on a few hikes this summer and it's done it's job. It's a perfect layer for the cold mornings on the mountain and cool evenings at the camp site (35-50 degrees). It's a generous athletic fit, and the sleeves are just a tad long, but that all adds to the jackets functionality when wearing it (great for wall climbing). Does a fine job in light rains, and blocks a decent amount of wind. I love this jacket and I can't wait to test it this fall!

Great looking jacket with a slimmer athletic fit. Nice enough to wear out but comfortable to wear hiking or playing sports.

Feels really durable, more so than the competitor Patagonia nano-air. I did a TON of research and this really is the best for a lightweight jacket for its comfort, warmth, breathability, style (I don't always want to look like I'm about to climb a mountain like the nano-air), and durability.

The Kumquat Orange color is beautiful, and the perfect color for this jacket. I had a hard time deciding between the hooded jacket and the non-hooded jacket, but I'm very happy with my decision to get the one without a hood.

This was a jacket I had been eyeing for a while and had been waiting until the fall to invest. With a trip to Iceland coming up, I needed a lightweight jacket that was also flexible in the performance and weight as the temperature changed. The ventrix fit the bill in allowing me to move from hiking a glacier, exploring waterfalls, checking out the Black sand beaches, to hitting the Big Lewboski bar in downtown Reykjavik.

As all North Face Jackets the quality is exceptional, it will serve good for cold weather, however it said that it was designed for climbing and I find it too bulky, but overall a good purchase and I would definitively recommend it
